We had a great single night stay at the Mercure Dieppe. Our room was great, with a sofa round the corner and the most comfy bed I had slept in during our week in France. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast is served in a room on the top floor of the hotel, which has an amazing view of the seafront and Chateau. Location is fab - really close to all the good stuff Dieppe has to offer

The only thing I found a bit odd was that the shower room part of our room didn't have a separate wall/door to the bedroom part of the room. The separate toilet did (thank goodness!).

The location is just on the beach front (500m walk to the beach!) located right next to a major landmark which is beautiful to look at on entrance to the hotel. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming, spoke English which was fab and helpful (so they didn’t have to put up with my broken French!). The room size was fantastic for a family of 4, total feel of modern and clean inside the bedroom and hotel throughout. Complimentary drinks in the fridge were greatly appreciated after a long drive. Beds were a great size and so comfy, even the sofa bed folded out in to two single beds which again a great addition for people travelling with children.

I am being picky here as we thoroughly enjoyed the stay so my only EBI’s would be: 1) that the shower pressure was not great especially if you have long hair 2) it wasn’t easy to fill the kettle with water due to the tap height in the sink. 3) Just make sure you read the car parking restrictions - 1.8m max height which meant our truck couldn’t fit in and we had to park elsewhere (I didn’t notice any restrictions on the parking section when booking so hopefully will help someone in future!)

Spacious room and great location - plenty nearby within walking distance and lots available at the hotel (bar, restaurant, reception etc). Reception staff were attentive and overall the hotel was nice and clean, and quite modern!

We had issues with hot water - we travelled with a young child and the staff mentioned the tank for the hotel needed to reheat overnight. They sorted the issue by letting us use another room which had hot water - much appreciated! Also, there’s a €100 per night deposit you need to pay for the room (after your payment for the room itself). We stayed 2 nights so the deposit on top was €200. As we used a pre-paid multi-currency card it actually took the €200 without us knowing. On a debit/credit card I imagine it’d just be a prepayment authorisation, but just thought it handy to mention as it meant we needed to transfer more to the card after it was declined at a restaurant! Staff reimbursed me after they realised it actually charged rather than pre-authorised

Lovely spacious room, beautiful bed linen, breakfast choices were superb. Really loved the breakfast dining room with views over the sea. it was fabulous.

It was a bit confusing when checking out as I didn't initially understand why I had to pay again having already presented my credit card on check in. At first it looked as if I had paid twice but after a day or two the correct payment was showing on my credit card statement which was a relief.

Very helpful and very nice staff, especially at the reception and at the bar + great location right on the La Manche coast. In general, Mercure hotels are always a good choice if you opt for a 4 star. A very good breakfast is served on the 4th floor in the openspace with panoramic windows overlooking the beach.

What could be improved: the rooms could be renovated, disposable slippers could be provided there was a brown stain on the white bed blanket sheet

Really excellent location with beautiful seaviews and sunsets. Stunning breakfast room with panoramic views of the beach. Very comfortable beds and lovely staff.

Quite an expensive breakfast at 18 euro each. The pool is not actually in the hotel but at the lido opposite so the website was a bit misleading. Also had to pay entry for the pool.

Good location walking distance to town, about half an hour to the ferry port. Lovely room with seaview and the swimming pool across the street. Water kettle for coffee or tea Breakfast buffet was very nice with again a lovely view of the sea and the castle. There was fresh fruits, cereals and breads, cheese and meats. They had cooked scrambled eggs with bacon and sausages. Or, you could cook your own fried or boiled eggs. Staff were very nice.

The Aircon was being maintenanced so not working, but we opened the window and that was fine. Luckily it was still a cool breeze outside. It was pretty quiet place after 22:00hrs. So a peaceful night's sleep. We found only one electrical outlet to use. Luckily we had brought a double adapter. There was just one hook outside the shower to hang your clothes and towel on. Perhaps at least another one would be good to have to hang our towels on after use.

Good location for overnight stay from the ferry port, made easy with sat nav in the car. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean with views of the sea. The helpful staff provided a regional light bar meal when we arrived, a lovely start to our first trip overseas since Covid. The beach was within easy walking distance, as was the middle of Dieppe.

The underground parking was slightly tricky to find and access, but we appreciated the fact that the hotel offers this facility, not just parking in the public area opposite.

The gentleman on Reception when we arrived was exceptional as was the Bar Staff. We used the main restaurant in the evening and the food and staff were excellent

My only gripe is the tea at Breakfast. Using the screw together strainers just do not work. Too big for a teapot and definitely too big for a cup. I ended up just having fruit juice. Why not just have teabags !

The staff, the room service, the cleanliness, the location, and especially the breakfast, all were great and satisfying. Everyone was helpful and the general atmosphere was really positive. We had a very enjoyable time. The staff was also very responsive to requests. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.
