La Pommeraie was one of the very best chambres d'hotes of the many we have stayed at in France. From the moment we arrived until our departure to continue our journey from Italy to Calais we were made most welcome by our host. A very comfortable bedroom was accompanied by a large bathroom with a most excellent shower. We were able to eat our picnic supper in the dining room although, had the weather been better, we could have sat outside in the lovely garden. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and delicious with home-made fruit juice and preserves.

Beautiful old family home in tranquil rural setting. Massive rooms which were cool and very comfortable despite very hot weather. Fantastic breakfast with local produce. Beautiful garden and patio for eat and lounging around outside. Even some slides/ swings for kids. Nothing was too much trouble for our kind and generous host. Only 15 min off the main road to Calais and just under an hour to the Chunnel. Wished we had booked for more than one night.

Thanks to bad weather and traffic we did not arrive until 1,15am and had difficulty locating the property so we’re unable to appreciate it’s very good location but Beatrice looked after us very well with a welcome breakfast and a lot of chat about our families. Very highly recommended!

Lovely building and beautiful furniture. Very welcoming host. Comfortable beds and lovely rooms. Great breakfast with pastries, bread and homemade jam (the apricot jam was superlative!), selection of cheeses, yoghurts and cereals. Great location for Calais.

We loved everything about this place. The room, facilities and the fabulous breakfast but most of all we loved the warmth and kindness of our host. This lovely place will not be forgotten. Thank you from two greatful pilgrims on the Via Francigena

Restaurants were 15km away and the only restaurant open (it was a Wednesday in August) was Beers and Co - an American diner on a main road opposite McDonalds. So we recommend eating before you arrive.

The guest house and garden were set in the countryside, and surrounded by beautiful views from the rooms and terrace. The house itself was tastefully decorated and a sanctuary of calm and tranquility. The kids loved the little play equipment in the garden. The breakfast, with homemade Jams, was sublime! How lucky we were to find this gem. A fantastic experience. Thank you Beatrice for making us feel so welcome and taking care of us.

An electric car charger on site is the only thing that could have improved our stay.

Host was super friendly, helpful and welcoming although didn’t speak English, so we laughed through our atrocious efforts at French. Our bedroom was fantastic, the bed (firm, my preference) and linen good quality and fresh. The breakfast was delicious including home made jams.

Location very good. Host lovely.Pleasant garden with seating. Good sized room and bathroom, separate toilet. Beautifully clean and very comfortable. It was good to have a kettle in the room, along with tea and coffee. Lovely breakfast with home made jams and apple juice along with local produce. It was very kindly provided early so that we could get to Calais for our crossing.

Everything! Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, delicious home made breakfast, friendly host, lovely views over gardens and fields. We arrived v late (12.30am!) due to delays at Dover and Beatrice was very understanding and gave us clear instructions on how to find the key and our rooms. We will return as it’s the best B&B we’ve ever stayed in :)
