Pierre is an incredibly attentive host and simply a nice guy. He really wants you to enjoy your stay and will do everything he can to help. Plus his English is excellent. The breakfasts were superb: freshly squeezed orange juice, great French press coffee, gorgeous croissants and pains au chocolat, plus an omelette or eggs if you wish. I'm pretty sure that guests can use the fridge-freezer and hob too, although I never had the need. The rooms are a good size, with large and comfortable double beds, and I never had a problem with temperature or noise. You should sleep well. The location is overall a plus point - a ten-minute walk into the historic town centre, nearby tram service - but obviously you can find hotels and other guest houses closer to the centre if that's a priority.

The only real downside to Les 4 Etoiles is a lack of places to relax. There are chairs in the rooms but they're hard and narrow, so I ended up perching on the end of the bed. While there is a communal area, it's geared towards eating; there is seating elsewhere, but it's again more suited to perching on than relaxation.

Lovely typical French House with beautiful windows and shutters. Great location to walk anywhere and also the 3 tram line (5 mins walk to Les Arceaux) Lovely big room and large walk in shower . Tastefully decorated. The host Pierre was amazing , friendly and helpful and made the best omelette! Excellent breakfast with fresh juice, fruit salad, yoghurts, bread and croissants .

Wi-Fi not so good in the bedroom but good in the communal space .

Pierre the proprietor was an excellent personable host who was informative and very helpful. The property has a well appointed communal Kitchen area where a typical French breakfast is provided every morning; fresh pastries, bread home made fruit salad freshly squeezed orange juice and great coffee.

Booking.com did not make it clear that the property was a privately run Guest House rather than a traditional hotel. that said we really enjoyed staying at the property. Although the room we stayed in is comfortable and well appointed it had the feel of a converted bedroom with bath room and separate toilet rather than traditional hotel room with ensuite. Decor was plain and the TV was on the small side with only French channels.

You could not ask for a better host than Pierre. He has done a fantastic job modernising his grandparents' home with up to date architectural features and design. As well as stylish, the four bedrooms are convenient and comfortable. There is a large common space with a kitchen and a sunny roof terrace. The breakfast is a highlight, with excellent quality bread etc, freshly pressed orange juice, delicious freshly made fruit salad and perfect coffee. Pierre shows great attention to detail, anticipating guests' needs and offering them local advice tailored to their interests. He seems to take a kind interest in all his guests of different backgrounds, young or old, French or foreign and we greatly appreciated his willingness to chat to us in French. The location is excellent, in a quiet area only a short walk from the historic centre.

A great place to explore Montpellier, located a few minutes walk to the old town. The room is very modern and beautifully decorated, spacious and perfectly clean. Tasty and delicious breakfast with lots of fresh and freshly prepared things. Pierre is a wonderful host, very attentive and helpful, and made us feel like home during our stay. We will definitely would like to come back and very warmly recommend this place.

It’s a wonderfully designed house in the middle of Montpellier but on a quiet peaceful street. The room was perfect and beautifully designed. Pierre is one of a kind, anticipating every need with kindness and an air of calm dedication. He also arranged an admin detail with us out of his own accord even though it wasn’t his responsibility. Highly recommend staying here to explore Montpellier and it’s surrounding.

Pierre the owner of this beautifully renovated hotel, welcomed us warmly and provided information for our trips around Montpellier. Each morning we had a choice of organic breakfast cereals, yoghurts and a different freshly made fruit salad each morning. We also had a choice of fresh breads and of course croissant and brioche. With access to the kitchen it was also possible to have tisane and coffee in the evenings and enjoy them on the private terrace. The location was quiet but well situated to the restaurants, botanic garden and historic monuments within a 5-10 min walk. The tram direct to the train station was also conveniently only a few minutes walk away.

A personal and charming hotel / guesthouse with only four guest rooms on the first floor. Every morning the host came up to make us a lovely breakfast, and otherwise he was more than helpful with any practical needs we had. Spacious double rooms with good beds and beautiful bathrooms. Quiet location just a short walk from Montpellier's beautiful old town.

Only positive experiences with this place. If you come by car, please note that the entire center of Montpellier is strictly regulated with many one-way streets and priority for public transport. In return, there is a practical space for car parking inside the hotel's private plot.

It is exceptional, I felt like I had a home away from home. Pierre is very welcoming and tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is a communal kitchen and a great terrace for the guests. The small house and the rooms are very tastefully and lovingly decorated. The neighborhood is quiet with small stores and on some days there is a super nice market. The city can be reached in a few minutes walking distance. All in all, the "Les 4 étoiles" gets in all aspects my highest recommendation. Thank you, Pierre!

Les 4 Etoiles is the perfect place to stay in Montpellier, in a fabulous location just moments from the tram. Pierre was a fabulous host and super friendly & helpful, room was spacious & comfortable, breakfast was amazing, loved our stay there 🥰
