We chose Hôtel du Parc because we like hotels to have plenty of character. We also liked the hotel because it was small and independent. The entrance hall has a stunning circular staircase and a beautiful tiled floor, lots of period features throughout. We arrived quite late in the evening and was met by John who was extremely helpful, providing us with a map and some suggestions of places to eat, that would be still serving dinner. All the staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay, this is a well run hotel, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was a nicely decorated double room, with an extra single bed. I was pleased to see a bath instead of a shower, it was also very clean. Montpellier was quite hot when we visited and luckily the air conditioning worked a treat, it was lovely to come back each day to cool down. We opted to have breakfast each morning, which was served either inside or out on a little terrace area, your choice. There was a good selection of cereals, croissants, fresh fruit, cheese, yoghurt etc, lovely speciality bread that had fruit in it, delicious. Coffee was plentiful, good and strong, just how we like it. Hotel Its self is tucked down a little side street, in a residential area just a short walk from the Jardin des plantes, the Cathedral St Pierre and the Old part of the city. There is a small public park situated at the rear of the hotel, we sat in a couple of times and read. If we return to Montpellier we would definitely like to stay here again! Thank you 😊

If I had to say something, the water was a bit slow to drain from the bath when the hotel was busy.

I came across this hotel a bit by accident. I was booking last minute and for one night only just for myself. I usually do not go for the chic in such a situation but here both the location and good reviews convinced me. I absolutely can recommend this place! I actually got a better room than i paid for simply because it was free and the staff recommended that for me. The room with bathroom was very small but very clean and cosy. Samuele - the concierge during my stay is absolutely the nicest person you can meet in such a place! For additional 10 euro there is a breakfast that includes very good bread and some local honey and cheese. For those who come with car, the hotel has a spacious parking! a short, walking distance from the historical old town.

Absolutely the sweetest, most accommodating staff. The hotel and rooms are stunning, actually way more modern and beautiful in person. I felt incredibly at home here and immediately taken care of. This hotel takes pride in itself. Amazing location in a quiet street about 10 minutes walk to the center of the old town.

The queen bed in our room was not comfy at all, quite hard and thin mattress that sort of bowed in the middle. The shower smelled a bit, but was actually really clean so it was very confusing!

Wonderful reception. We were relaxing in the garden, et voila a bottle of cool water and two glasses appear. Lovely area for relaxing. Room was good. Excellent value.

Bed was small but there was another bed in the room which we had to use. It is about 15 minutes walk to the main areas in the town.

Overall great experience. Parking on-site was very tight but then, it is in the city where space is at a premium. Staff assisted with parking as it is space-limited. Breakfast was great and the staff very pleasant!

Really nothing as one accepts limitations depending on where you opt to stay. And the bonus was an easy walk to the old-town, minutes away!

Superb location with free for ± 60% of the total rooms on offer parking (so check in early!). Friendly and helpful staff. They also get their bread and pastries from the excellent independent boulangier 'Au Rhythme du Pain' around the corner!

Nothing!

The location is great and the decor of the rooms is great as well

The hotel is very nice, but the room is a little small but the bathroom is tiny, when you take a shower if you drop the soap that’s it you are not going to be able to pick it up they should tell you this in the photos, also you can listen to the steps on the room upstairs.

Charming ,helpful staff.Room small for 3 but had a lovely patio and bathroom.Breakfast on the terrace was a delight and varied and plentiful - eg bread from the local baker. Very quiet location yet everywhere was easily accessible easy to walk to the old town or catch the tram.

Room could have been a little bigger for 3

Bathroom in our room was good and clean but pretty small, it's ok for one-night stay but for longer might be not too comfy

Perfect location in walking distance to just about everything in Montpellier. And still totally quiet. The neighbourhood feels very safe and a locked parking helps. We were warmly welcomed by very friendly staff who went out of his way to secure our son's bicycle on the property. Very good breakfast with long list of all inclusive options. Our room was beautifully decorated in period style but with modern materials and fittings. Very cosy and practical. We will be back when in Montpellier.
