VERY unique property. A work of love ( and many euro) by the owner who is restoring an historic property. Beautifully outfitted, over the top decor in our room (but elegant certainly , not cheaply done) . Fantastic staff who provide very genuine welcome. Very comfortable bed. The room awaits the return of the Bourbons, so get there first! Excellent patisserie with seating just 2 minutes walk away for breakfast. Great city for exploring.

A tip, not a problem. If arriving by car, check your email just before arriving to learn the key code to punch in on arrival to allow your car in. Massive green wooden courtyard doors on your right while driving down a narrow laneway. PARKING is available, spacious and inexpensive . Dont even try parking in the city…its for walking!

Parking in courtyard was excellent, met by hostess who gave us a tour inside and the history of the building. The room was breath-taking, the best accommodation used on this vacation and we've found fantastic places but not quite like this. There were lovely treats, a decent size fridge, mega size exquisite shower room/full size jacuzzi that was most welcome to use after a long drive. A climb the next day to top of the tower, very interesting building and memorable stay.

An arrangement for breakfast was available at a small Patisserie 2minutes away, in our opinion, poor.

Delightfully over the top Royal Suite Louis XIV four poster bedroom meets hi-tech Joe 90 bathroom. Staying here helps to support a lifetime labour of love by Mr Martin in restoring an extensive complex of city centre convent buildings. Definitely worth the experience.

Parking in the secure courtyard was quite tight; no breakfast at the property but never mind because there is an arrangement for guests to get a good value breakfast at a nearby cafe

Exceptional room with extremely nice in-room spa. Location full of charm, majestic old doors, parking inside the patio. Beautiful reception area in the making. Location very close to all interesting place in Narbonne. City center but very quiet. They are still investing even further into the building.

For perfection: Wifi still needs some improvement, maybe a table in the bathroom for the toiletries and could be nice to have ability to charge a car in the patio.

Excellent location right in the city just a few minutes' walk from the market and historic centre. Secure parking space for each room. Comfortable room, although the decor is so OTT you think you are staying in Versailles! Very good bed and air conditioning, which was great.

A shame there is no one on site to welcome you if you arrive after a certain time, and as we were delayed en route that's what happened. However, the manager called us to check when we would actually arrive, and then texted detailed instructions for how to access the car park, get the key and find our room, so it all worked out great.

This place exceeded our expectations and we had a great stay - will definitely stay here again. Everything in out room was done very well. The host that meet us was great & very informative.

They also have a deal with a local bakery for breakfast - however the bakery were a bit confused and didn't't have all the items for a petit dejuner. You don't have to eat here though but the food we had was good.

Where to start? After a long and tiring train journey--we were standing in the doorway staring, gobsmacked when a group of other guests came by. This jolly group asked to see our room--we obliged and later they showed us theirs which turned out to be even more amazing than the Suite Royale. We were all astounded at the remarkable rooms. While gilding is not exactly our style-- we had to appreciate the amazing detail with which the room was renovated. Even the window hardware had been restored. There were too many fine details to count. Among the amenities was a retro mini refrigerator, jetted tub, small couch and sitting area, one of the most comfortable beds we'd stayed in this trip, and a ceiling mural. We wished we'd booked another night or two for exploring Narbonne, or just chilling in this wonderful room. Anyway never in our wildest dreams did we think we could find a hotel room in this price range with so much class. It was one of the highlights of our Europe trip. Larger soaps/shampoos: the little packets weren't quite enough. Otherwise 0 dislikes--everything was wonderful!

The room is lavishly decorated, exactly as indicated on the Booking.com photographs, and didn't disappoint. Car parking in the vicinity is limited but is available onsite for an extra €8 per night.

Wifi kept coming and going. The room could have a few more kitchen facilities just for breakfast

the suite was excellent. very comfortable bed. the building is an exceptional building and the room has been renovated incredibly to fit with the history of the building. location could not be better within a short walk to the historical old town and all facilities. we highly recommend this property. staff were so helpful and could not have been more hospitable.

Very unique historic property and room decor, huge room, quiet, safe, secure parking right outside the door, all of this beautiful city right around the corner. A great find!
