The staff is great, I stayed in the room 201 which is beautiful although it is small, for one person is excellent, the shower is modern and big enough as well as the rest of the restroom, the bed is confortable and the sheets soft, it has two balconies with beautiful views. The only reason I don't put the 10 starts is for some details that can help to have a better experience. Is not complaining. it's just telling what only a guest can say after staying there and only with the purpose of helping the management to improve the guests' experiences * it has two doors, what difficults to enter into the room with your suitcases because after entering the first one there's a little space like a closet just for the second door to move and not even a person alone can walk easy in there I believe that the second door should be removed * It's necessary to put another set of curtains behind the existing ones that help to have light and privacy because when you open them, sure you have a nice view but also every body outside has a nice view of you * There's nothing to hang the towel close to the shower ( in fact, not at all anywhere). When you finish taking a shower, it's necessary to have the towel near to you * theres no shelves or something to put the shampoo and soap inside the shower * When you finish using the towel, there's no place to hang it so it can get dryed *I had only one full body towel. There were no hand and face towels, so I had to use the same for everything * There's no TV * I know most European hotels don't use the privacy thing to hang out of the door, but at least workers should knock the door before entering into the room

Hotel Rivoli is excellent place. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Location is marvelous - close to the city centre, to the few main Paris attraction and in location with really nice night life. There are plenty great restaurants and cafes just by the corner. Another great thing by the corner is metro. Which is the only valid way to transport around city centre. You can be everywhere in no time. We had small balcony, it was super cute and nice to look at the neighbour roofs. Main street was under us but cars here were sparce so I barely heard them. The room - it is a little plain but ULTRA clean. Room is swept everyday, same goes for towels change. Bathroom for a Paris room - is bigger than anticipated. This hotel room is not romantic, it doesnt have many addition but it looks so much better than on these photos! I highly recommwnd this place. If I ever come back i want to sleep here again.

There is NO LIFT up the stairs. I've read about it and I knew aboit it. But stairs are narrow and high so it must be mentioned properly. I did not care, someone might.

I loved the position of the hotel and the cozy familiar atmosphere. My room was at the very top of the building, what once was a chambre de bonne, so I loved the idea of staying in such a historical building. The staff is great.

The stairs is the only minus. I was on the 6th floor so I had to walk up with my suitcase, which was quite hard but I do understand that this is a historical building. Also, for safety the reception asks you to leave the key when you go out, and they are immediately there when you come in. At first I thought it was a negative aspect of their policy but then I concluded that it is a good practice for safety there days.

The location was great, everything was clean. I was aware there was no elevator and the staircase was narrow so those were no surprise but it was definitely good to know in advance. No TV, no AC, no wash cloths, no iron or ironing board, no steamer. I did not need either but want to make this clear for others. Heat worked. My room opened up to a nice balcony but it goes the length of the building is shared by all the other rooms nearby, so security may be a concern if you want to sleep with the doors open, which I did because I was not thinking. I was pleased with my stay and would recommend.

This hotel is in an excellent location with friendly staff. It is very clean. We were able to give our teens their own room because of the value which made it an even greater value.

It does not have air conditioning so on a hot summer night you must choose between the lesser of the heat of a closed up room or the noise of the busy Paris street. When we were there it was very hot, even at night. We chose the quiet of closed windows and it was not bad with the fan but not ideal. Our teens chose the noise and were okay with that too.

The room was very clean but tiny (for one person). It's enough for staying comfortably though. Bustling Parisian life right downstairs, right at Rue de Rivoli which is the central Paris and close to many tourist attractions. Location was perfect.

I got a room at 6th floor and they don't have elevators. It was a pain to take the heavy luggage up by myself. Also for the luggage storage service, they didn't have lockers; instead, you would just put the luggage by the check-in desk and they would watch it.

Beautiful staff, absolutely amazing location. Be mindful no elevator so for all my material girlies..hiking a 23kg suitcase up stairs is a workout. Yummy crepes right under the hotel (good price too). Walking distance to big monuments. Overall great place to be, especially for location. Which is a big part of booking as you’ll be out all day sightseeing anyway. Also let us leave our luggage as we arrived 10am and tried to get room cleaned properly so was able to go up at 12pm.

Lotssss of stairs (85 if on level 5). However I was given a room on the highest level. Made up for an awesome view. Bed a little on the firm side/ abit too small for partner and I..however rooms are pretty tight so couldn’t get a bigger bed really.

That’s my taxi driver told me, “You chose a hotel that is close to everything important and near to everything else.” Funnily enough, it was not the hotel I thought I was going to be staying at, which was one I had stayed at twice before. This was more of a young person‘s hotel. Nevertheless, it turned out to be very comfortable and close to everything. And since I wasn’t planning to spend much time in my room, that worked out well.

No elevator. It was hard for me to pull my large suitcase up the stairs to the second floor. Going down was easier because there was a young man behind the desk, who is able to assist me.

This is the perfect location for exploring Paris! We had a private room with a bathroom on the third floor. There isn’t a lift (we knew that from reading reviews), so we were prepared to climb the stairs. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff made us feel right at home. This is an insane value for the money and I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

No television in the room and no air conditioning.

The location was excellent. Le Marais is such a wonderful neighbor. Lots of restaurants and boulangeries and boutiques. The metro was very close to the hotel for trips to sites that were too far to walk but so many things were within walking distance of the hotel. The room was very clean! The building is vintage and has so much charm. The checkin was easy and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Be advised there is no elevator so if you have mobility problems or a lot of luggage it is a bit of a chore.
