Lovely period hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful reception staff. Large room with a comfortable bed and clean spacious bathroom. Decent buffet breakfast. Complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day off the reception area. Well located within the town centre. A welcoming place. Dog friendly, allowed in the buffet breakfast room .

No parking but a free car park was within walking distance. No bar or restaurant - but plenty within easy walking distance.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is like stepping back into the past, into a historical mansion. The bathroom in the bedroom was as big as the bedroom itself. Beautiful decor. Friendly staff, and free tea and coffee facilities in the lobby. Walking distance to the beach, and far enough away from the hubbub for a nice night's sleep.

Beds were a little bit hard, but that is a question of taste.

This is an old-fashioned cozy hotel with a lovely hall (fireplace, billiard table, bar). The location is perfect and there is a parking located just behind - expensive but convenient and a free parking a 10 min walk away. We had a very spacious room with lots of light and a modern bathroom. Breakfast is also worth the price. All staff were friendly and helpful (parking, dinner options etc). We would definitely like to retrun.

Perfect location. We found parking nearby. Easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. My room was very roomy and comfortable. The lounge area was comfortable. The staff was helpful in advising restaurants and places to see. We used this hotel for a base to go to Bilbao and San Sebastian. Another day we went to Bayonne and Biarritz.

A lovely, charmingly old-fashioned hotel close to the heart of the city. Beautiful wooden floors covered in lovely old carpets take you to the small but clean rooms. Everyday there were two bottles of water in the room for us. The staff is nice and helpful, quickly helped us organise an iron and ironing board to get a shirt for a wedding party in better shape.

We were greeted by a slightly impatient, older French lady at reception – which slightly tainted an otherwise nice stay. It was very hot during our stay and the air conditioning was sometimes a bit temperamental. The rooms are quite small, to the extend that you can't fully open the bathroom door because it bumps into the armchair in the corner.

A gem of a hotel. Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely room with a good breakfast. Car park just outside the back door which is very reasonable but quite busy. The hotel is fabulously located for the town and sea front. It is also dog friendly with a nice park a few minutes walk away. The ground floor rooms have outside access too.

Rooms were large, modern, well appointed, and comfortable. The location was excellent, convenient to the lovely town center and 10-minute walk to the beach. Parking adjacent to the hotel is free overnight, but can be expensive during the day. However, free parking is a couple of blocks away and spaces were available after 4pm after day tripping. A patisserie is just steps away, with excellent bread and pastries. Staff was wonderfully helpful and offered guidance on local dining and events, as well as destinations in nearby Spain. One of the best stays during a month of travel in France, and a charming town.

Everything was great.

Really excellent hotel within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and beach. We had a lovely room (comfy bed, excellent facilities) with a shared balcony for sitting out. The staff were really helpful and pulled out the stops to allow us to get into our room earlier than the usual 4:00. The breakfast was great too. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back. Thoroughly recommended.

It is a beautiful and charming old building. We had our own terrace which was lovely. The rooms are comfortable and very spacious and clean. Air conditioning was great. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything was just great. A small fridge for water etc would have been a welcome addition as weather was v warm. Just a detail.

The bedroom was modern and clean. Hotel had a nice atmosphere with antique furniture in lobby mixed with modern bedrooms

The 'balcony' was VERY small and any view was blocked by a large black metal plate - presumably to give privacy but it just felt a little claustrophobic. Reception staff could have been a little more welcoming but that may have been language barrier
