From the moment of arrival at Grand Hotel De La Poste we felt welcome. The check-in was seamless, the information at check-in was clear and informative. All the staff are excellent in their roles and equaly welcoming. Our room was excellent, spacious and we had a terrace outside. All the facilities in the room were first class. The hotel provides a tea/coffee facility throughout the day, which is a great bonus. It is a short walk into the main pedestrianised shopping street and equally short walk to the beach. We can recommend the hotel without any hesitation and look forward to returning in the future.

Our room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom with separate areas for the shower toilet and large space for the sink, changing and make up were an added plus.the staff, everyone was helpful and offered excellent suggestions for spending our time in Saint Jean de Luz.

The buffet breakfast , was disappointing for the 13+ euros pp, the”hot?” Food was cold and not very tasty. Totally uninspiring. Better to go to a cafe for breakfast.

Lovely period hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful reception staff. Large room with a comfortable bed and clean spacious bathroom. Decent buffet breakfast. Complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day off the reception area. Well located within the town centre. A welcoming place. Dog friendly, allowed in the buffet breakfast room .

No parking but a free car park was within walking distance. No bar or restaurant - but plenty within easy walking distance.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is like stepping back into the past, into a historical mansion. The bathroom in the bedroom was as big as the bedroom itself. Beautiful decor. Friendly staff, and free tea and coffee facilities in the lobby. Walking distance to the beach, and far enough away from the hubbub for a nice night's sleep.

Beds were a little bit hard, but that is a question of taste.

This is an old-fashioned cozy hotel with a lovely hall (fireplace, billiard table, bar). The location is perfect and there is a parking located just behind - expensive but convenient and a free parking a 10 min walk away. We had a very spacious room with lots of light and a modern bathroom. Breakfast is also worth the price. All staff were friendly and helpful (parking, dinner options etc). We would definitely like to retrun.

Perfect location. We found parking nearby. Easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. My room was very roomy and comfortable. The lounge area was comfortable. The staff was helpful in advising restaurants and places to see. We used this hotel for a base to go to Bilbao and San Sebastian. Another day we went to Bayonne and Biarritz.

Staff were friendly, hotel was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the common areas were nice - the complementary tea/coffee facilities and water was a lovely touch. Max, on reception, was particularly helpful.

Would have liked a fridge in the room, which seems standard in hotel rooms nowadays.

Absolutely wonderfully surprised by the level of cleaningness, attention to detail, friendliness and phenomenal breakfast offered. This place is a jewel!! Highly recommended. We had a little problem with our car and the receptionist came over to help us!! Where do you find this now a days?

A gem of a hotel. Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely room with a good breakfast. Car park just outside the back door which is very reasonable but quite busy. The hotel is fabulously located for the town and sea front. It is also dog friendly with a nice park a few minutes walk away. The ground floor rooms have outside access too.

A lovely, charmingly old-fashioned hotel close to the heart of the city. Beautiful wooden floors covered in lovely old carpets take you to the small but clean rooms. Everyday there were two bottles of water in the room for us. The staff is nice and helpful, quickly helped us organise an iron and ironing board to get a shirt for a wedding party in better shape.

We were greeted by a slightly impatient, older French lady at reception – which slightly tainted an otherwise nice stay. It was very hot during our stay and the air conditioning was sometimes a bit temperamental. The rooms are quite small, to the extend that you can't fully open the bathroom door because it bumps into the armchair in the corner.
