We were assigned a room on the top floor at the front of the hotel with an amazing view looking over the town and castle and we were pleased to find free and easy on-street parking available on the road outside the hotel. The room was clean and staff were pleasant and friendly. It was an easy 10 min walk into the town centre which was mostly over the two bridges crossing the river with superb views of the river Loire. The location was quieter than staying in the centre with a local rather than touristy vibe which we liked. The buffet-style breakfast had a good selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, eggs, cold meats and cheeses along with croissants, bread and cakes and although at times the breakfast room was busy it was never overcrowded.

For the price we were very happy with the hotel, the facilities and service.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ibis. I fully recommend this hotel which is in a great location for Saumur and also for taking the train. Our room was spacious, clean, bright, well ventilated and silent. Perfect for a great nights' sleep. We also enjoyed a lovely healty breakfast. The staff were friendly and heloful.

Well thats a tough one however if there was a gluten free section with toast it would be lovely.

We chose the hotel entirely because of location, we had a very early train. Is a walk into town, but fine. The room was a good size, enormous bed, good bedding. Surprisingly good breakfast, which starts very early. Good and secure bike storage. Real stars are receptionists, especially Noemi. Incredibly calm and helpful.

Bathroom small but perfectly functional.

Nice clean room with a very comfortable bed, air conditioning and located right across from the SNCF station which is very convenient. The day I was there it was 34 degrees so I was grateful for the air conditioning! The breakfast was good, lots of options with cereals, yogurt, juices, cheese/meats, hard boiled eggs, pastries and an automatic coffee machine. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk into the center of Saumur but its a beautiful walk across the two strands of Loire River. There isn't much around the hotel that I saw for restaurants, but its worth the walk into town where you have many wonderful options.

Nothing really - the only thing I didn't like was the coffee, but its an automatic machine so can't have too high expectations ;-)

Breakfast was excellent, nice variety, cereals, breads, cheese board, meat platter, yoghurt, grapefruit and orange segments, seed granola, English speaking staff pleasant and happy to assist great location for travellers, luggage storage, 20 minutes walk to main town the view on the evening walk as well as the daytime is worth it

Comfy beds, big rooms, big bathroom, towels provided. Joint room possibility if you are with family. Continental breakfast, tasty. Helpful and friendly staff. Parking secure if booking in advance for little extra fee, otherwise in the streets. Located near Saumur castle. Calm neighbourhood, air conditioner in the room.

Great. Very clean with very good staff. Located close to the main railway station. However, no noise at all overnight. 10 minute walk from the lovely town of Saumur with so much choice to eat and be merry. Some amazing buildings if your into architecture. Great place.

Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. Hotel parking was secure and very convenient. We liked the size and comfort of the bed.

Being near the train station brought with it the usual roughness. And it was a little walk from the centre. But overall it was good, especially with the secure parking.

Staff all v pleasant. Room was large with an additional dressing area, which was great. Big shower and plenty of instant hot water. Breakfast good. Happy to pay for parking as there was secure parking for both the car and my husband's bike.

modern and clean throughout. has secure parking for an additional cost - book ahead! really lovely room, comfy bed (pillows could do with a change) en-suite good quality too. breakfast was buffet style, plenty to fill you up. About a 5-10 min walk to the main area straight across the bridge.

pillows need a change, they’d lost shape and clumps inside. otherwise nothing!
