The location was amazing, the facilities around were wonderful, staff very pleasant

NOISE. My goodness, we expected noise as we were over a bar/ bistro and there was an outdoor cinema set up immediately to the side of the hotel which finished at approx midnight but the noise didn't stop through out the night and then started very early with street cleaning. The hotel has no air conditioning and there is a fan supplied, the fan was so noisy we had to choose between the street noise or the fan and because the room was so hot we had to have the window open. If you need a good night sleep it's perhaps not the hotel for you and maybe outside of August the noise will be much less of a problem. Saying all of this we would definitely return to Saumur, absolutely gorgeous

The property is ideally located on the river. Our room was small but charming with a lovely Juliette balcony, that was much appreciated on a hot day. Saumur itself is a beautiful destination. We were given a safe lock up for our Volos.

Parking the car a little tricky and dropping of luggage at the hotel could be very difficult. Carrying luggage up two flights of narrow stairs. Market day on Saturday we were awoken before 06.00 h ,by the weekly market being set up. Suggest if staying Friday night , ask for a quiet room at the back.

Everything, for a two stars hotel it meets all the expectations and even more. Location great, staff ok, rooms clean.

The stairs to go up the room, the ones that you need to go from outside, are very small and can be an obstacle when you need to carry the luggages, but you can make it

Situated right on the river and within 1 minute walk of the main eating entertainment area. We arrived on bikes and these were safely stored for the night's stay (lady on desk super helpful). Room was very comfy and had enough space for us to dry riding gear. Breakfast was well presented and catered for 2 hungry adults.

Maybe an extra fan in summer?

A smart comfortable hotel in the centre of Saumur. Rooms with wonderful views of the Loire river. Excellent hotel if cycling the Loire or Velo Francette cycle routes with secure bicycle storage. Parking outside the hotel is free between 18.30 and 09.00 the following morning otherwise 2 euros for a maximum of 2 hours. Anymore time gets very expensive.

Music playing outside until 0100hrs - sorry to be a party pooper! We thought it would finish at midnight. Revellers shouting at 0300 outside. Not the hotel's fault. So not a great sleep.

Location was superb and great Saturday Market with live chickens ! Breakfast was great value and quality at 10 euros Lovely town and staff we so helpful when our avis hire car broke down !!! If you like lively bars there are 2 downstairs which you shoumd bare in mind d if booking River View room . We needed a drink after all the issues with car so enjoyed ourselves.

The Steep stairs but it was our heavy luggage that was the issue to the 2nd floor

Very good placement in the city centre. Parking available outside. Good breakfast. Very charming 2-level family room.

The wifi does not allow any communication outbound except TCP/80 and TCP/443. That is misguided "security". Near-useless for professional usage. Not possible to only get a drink in the restaurant in the evening; all tables were for dining guests only.

What a pleasant hotel. The staff were always helpful, the rooms clean and in close proximity to all of the local sights. Just around the corner is the best little square to eat and have a beer with the locals!
