There are so many things I loved about this hotel. First was the price--it was a great value for money considering that the hotel is located in the heart of Strasbourg. The location was perfect and literally within walking distance from the cathedral. Petit France is a bit further away but it only takes approximately 10 minutes to walk there. The hotel room I chose was tiny but quaint and had a great view of the cathedral. I heard that they serve a good breakfast but unfortunately I never had the chance to try. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. It was beautiful and peaceful, I might come back to this hotel when I visit Strasbourg again in the future.

Do not expect state of the art facilities since this is a tiny hotel, but I really don't have any complaints!

I stayed at Hotel Suisse for one night during my 18-day cycling trip along the Rhine. The hotel is wonderfully located in the center of town, close to restaurants and cafes. The staff were wonderful, helped me store my bike in the building and the lady at the desk was kind enough to reserve a table for me at a traditional French restaurant which turned out to be one of the best restaurants I ate at during my trip. The room was small but perfectly adequate and was an upgrade with a view over the tiled roofs near the cathedral. Breakfast served downstairs was very nice with a very pleasant ambience. I felt I'd found a bit of a gem in this hotel, I'd certainly come back and would be happy to recommend it to my friends and associates.

I wouldn't change a thing.

This was our second stay at this hotel. We chose it because we enjoyed our first stay very much. The hotel is placed near the cathedral, and we enjoyed watching the view from the window of our room, especially at night. The team were nice and helpful. The only problem we had is related to the elevator: it stops only between the floors, so no matter what, one has to either climb up or climb down a flight of stairs to get to a room. If one is no longer young enough to not mind a few steps, this is a bit of a problem. Apart of that, we enjoyed our stay very much.

It’s a small and charming hotel, the entry looks amazing and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Very cosy and beautiful old building. I had a single room with a big bed and an amazing view to the Cathedral. The room and bathroom were clean and all looked very nice. Breakfast was included with a good variety of delicious food, such as croissants, brioches, bread, charcuterie, cheeses, cereals, eggs, fruits… and of course juice and coffee.

The room was HUGE and was in a fantastic location. Close to everything but also very quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. We had to leave on a very early train to Paris and they arranged breakfast to go including fresh coffee.

We didn't have a fridge in our room which was a bit disappointing but they were happy to have us put our drinks in their fridge. No big deal really.

This hotel is centrally located at Strasbourg and the staff were always very pleasant in greeting and helping us with our questions. There are lots of options just a few minutes walking from the hotel to see and do and also plenty of cafes and restaurants. We didn't make use of the breakfast at the hotel because there were plenty of bakeries opening at 7 in the morning where we could buy fresh croissants, etc.

I paid a bit more to have a 'Superior Family room with a view', but there wasn't much view (only of the walls of the building on the side street). The room (201 I think) was however spacious with 2 large double beds and with quite a huge bathroom. Because the hotel is in the center, the closest parking garage is around 18 euros/day (nothing cheaper).

The location was awesome! Super close to the cathedral and I even got a room with a view. The staff spoke good English and they were helpful telling me about the city.

The only thing I did not like was the breakfast in cafe Suisse. I got the buffet and when I went to fill my plate I noticed a lot of fruit flies all around/on the food. This really turned me off and I was nervous to eat the food from the buffet.

Extraordinary location and tremendous character in the building. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive. Overall, the service was incredible. My mom came down with terrible food poisoning and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. We stayed in the Junior Suite and highly recommend if you find you need a bit more space after being on the road for a few weeks.

We stayed here in 2018 and loved it. It was as good as we remember. The hotel is in a great location, close to everything but out of the bustle. The hotel has a lovely ambience. Our room looked like it has recently had a makeover, with a brand new and very nice bathroom. The breakfast is a high point. The gentleman on reception for the afternoon/evening both nights we were there was extremely professional, helpful and friendly.

Nothing to dislike. One minor thing - the bath was a luxury but without a shower curtain, the hand held shower meant either dousing the whole room when showering or sitting in the tub to do it. A simple rail and curtain would fix this!

Hotel Suisse is very close to the old cathedral in Strasbourg. As the Strasbourg Old Town is almost totally pedestrian and traffic free, it was delightful to be able to simply step out the door and wander around this beautiful city. The hotel is a beautiful old building in keeping with its neighborhood.
