We recently stayed at the Alberta Hotel and had a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was very cozy. I also appreciated the variety of amenities offered, such as the jacuzzi and sauna (try the tea). The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was enjoyable, including providing a delicious chef dinner. However, I did notice that the room could have been a bit bigger and modern. Overall, I highly recommend the Alberts Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. The location was great, the staff was friendly, and the amenities were top-notch."

The hotel's location allows for ski-in and ski-out. Very nice. The hotel fee included breakfast and dinner. The hotel's restaurant did an excellent job in serving meals. The sauna room was nice. The hotel room felt old, but it was clean and nicely arranged. I didn't feel like I was crammed in a small hotel room. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. It was easy to walk from the hotel to the town. All of the hotel's staffs were very friendly and helpful.
I had to carry my 3 cases of luggage up to another floor after I checked in. I wish it had a lift. Also the skis and boots were stored in the ski lockers which were located at the bottom floor of the hotel. It is three floors below my hotel room. No lift in the hotel is somewhat inconvenient. I wish it had a tea pot in the hotel room allowing me to cook hot water.

The hotel was super clean and comfortable. The location is perfect as you can ski straight out onto a green slope and head down to the main meeting points on the slopes. The spa facilities were lovely after a day of skiing especially sauna and jacuzzi. Food for the evening meal was also delicious.
Only negative was there was a possible leak on the floor in our bedroom coming from the shower and my clothes got wet one night but informed the staff in the morning when we were leaving so assume it will be looked into.

Hotel location is fantastic. Right next to main ski runs so easy to ski right to the hotel ski locker door entrance. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was great. Hotel felt modern and everywhere seemed very clean. Spa with sauna and hot tub were great with one way windows looking straight out at the ski slopes.
My only one negative is that the ensuite bathroom is quite small but that is far outweighed by everything else which is top notch.

Excellent staff - we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Great attitude by all members of staff. Food was amazing - glad we went for the half board package. Properly ski-in and ski-out. Not noisy, but close enough to Summit, Favella etc for the teenagers. Spa was wonderful at the end of a hard day - but make sure to book ahead.
Rooms are great, but maybe a little more tired looking compared to the high quality of the main areas of the hotel. Not a criticism, just an observation.

The staff was very nice and friendly, especially the girls at reception and Nelline at dinner, but everyone was genuinely nice, and they really went the extra mile to make sure we had a good stay. Location was excellent for ski in ski out. Booked half board and the dinner was consistently good, would recommend having dinner here. For the spa (sauna and jacuzzi) you would pre-book (30 mins, which was just the right amount of time actually) slots on the day so it was never crowded. Hotel has lockers to store ski/snowboard gear. I was afraid the room would be too small from other reviews, and while on the smaller side, you did have room to walk around the bed and it did not feel claustrophobic. The view from the balcony was also nice; had a mountain view room with a balcony looking onto the slopes. Really enjoyed this place and would come back.
Honestly these are just nitpicks: - felt it was a bit pricy at first but this is the normal price for Val Thorens - some more pegs to dry the clothes in the room would be nice - brekkie was a bit limited and did not change throughout the week (dinner was in contrast varied and I am happy to have done half board) - bathroom had the plug right under the light switch (would be nice to have a protective cover so that I do not electrocute myself) - a bit lacking in the toiletries department (toiletries were provided though) Considering all the above: again - still had a very good stay, the staff really make the place, the location and view were good as well, and I would still recommend this place.

Overall nice hotel, lovely restaurant and reception area. Great sauna. Great location next to the slopes.
Rooms were small, beds were hard. Bathrooms were very small and dated. Room cleaning could be improved, during our stay the soaps were never restocked and one evening we ran out of toilet paper as it had not been restocked. These things could be easily fixed.

Dinner included was very good, and amazing value. A 3 course meal each night, was brilliant. We had 2 vegetarians and they catered for us very well. The staff were super friendly and all had fluent English. Right on the slope ski in and 0ut. You can leave your boots in your locker and collect in the morning. The sauna and jacuzzi overlooking the slopes was a fabulous touch. Breakfast was great, lots to keep you going til lunch up the slopes. Their sister restaurant Le Face is also great and has great seating for the sun.
The 3 days of snow blizzard that no one had control over.

Location is perfect, right on the slopes. We had the half board plan, and really liked the food and the atmosphere - we are vegeterians and the the staff made delicius special vegeterian options for us. The view from the hotel is great - both from the room and the spa (exactly as in the pictures), and all of the staff had great English and were super friendly and helpful. The spa has a jacuzzi and a sauna that require a free booking to use, and we also booked a massage that was great. The ski room at sub-ground floor was comfortable to use with a code lock to access the door and the locker. Definitely coming back (:
The 2 single bedroom was a little small, we didn't have much space to put our suitcases on, and we had to unplug the TV to charge two cellphones as once.

Maybe it's rated as a 3 star hotel, but overall experience is really 5 star. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dinner nenu was excellent, and food was delicious and beautifully served. We will definitely return to this hote, and recommend it to our friends.
Bathrooms could have some renovation.
