We had one of the cheaper rooms with shared bathrooms.. and it was fantastic. As we were traveling with a 3 year old child, there was plenty of space for us 3 on the lower bed (we had a bunkbed). Bathroom got cleaned several times a day. Those were always clean! The location is in the center of tahiti, but the best part is, that it's located right across the ferry terminal. Breakfast had cheaper options as well, everything was affordable compared to the prices at other places. EVERY member of the staff, was super friendly, and helpful! There was nothing to complain about this hotel. There's a nice rooftop bar in the hotel. We would always come back to this place!

Nothing.

Perfect location in front of the ferry, modern building and facilities, great staff and comfortable bed. Lightning in the room is also very good. The toilettes are shared but they are big and each one has a shower so you have your privacy. The rooftop and the coffee bar are amazing, a bit pricey but good quality. There is a nice terrace with kitchen to chill. Wifi worked very well.

There is not much space for the luggage and to pit the stuff in the room..., we had to pack separately to be able to manage. The toilettes could have ventilation for when you take a shower so that it doesn't get so humid/foggy.

Friendly hotel staff which enabled us to upgrade the room (against payment). By a misunderstanding, we had booked a "cabin" without understanding what that meant. The restaurant offered the best service and best food we experienced in French Polynesia. The waiters were fast and efficient, very rare on that island, The Reef Top terrace offers a great view over the port and the landscape.,

If you want to search for a reason to complain, The capacity of only one lift can not handle the traffic in peak hours when also lots of outside guests are visiting the rooftop bar. But it is a minor story in a pleasant hotel.

I honestly thought this seemed too good to be true, but it’s fantastic!! The building is super modern and the end result is pretty phenomenal. We stayed in a cabin and by no means is it for anything other than sleeping or resting but it’s absolutely perfect. Located directly across from The ferry terminal and in the middle of the city. It has 3 great drink/food spots including the restaurant which is amazing and the view is spectacular. Save your money and stay here!! Note, the bathrooms are shared but they are little private rooms and they were super clean and the shower was nice.

Nothing - perfect short stay!

2:45am and person on front desk helpful with good English. Room small for two people but half the price of a full room. We ordered bunk bed but after seeing rooms a double would have been a better choice. It was only a place to stay whilst getting 12:30am ferry after early am checkin. Great adjoining coffee shop with pool table that we waited after 11am checkout in comfort until noon. Allowed time to get ferry ticket an vini phone chip from electronic shop nearby and do setup before catching boat directly across the street. NZ 2:30am peeps going to Moorea next day - this place excellent. 1st floor are the small rooms with shared bathrooms that are large and clean. 2nd floors to 7th? floors are the more expensive (double the price) so comparatively the 1st floor rooms are fine (and secured with electronic cards even to operate lifts)

Perfect location for our needs- opposite the ferry terminal. The rooms were exactly what I expected- bunk style with individual lights, power sockets and a little shelf- perfect for 1 night. There was a communal lounge and the shower rooms were relatively clean (for a bunk house).and spacious. Really good value for in-transit travel in Tahiti.

Only thing was the additional security doors on the floors between rooms. We were a party of 6, between 3 rooms. I could not get to my kids because my room was in a different section of the floor. However! I did not ask for a key- which I no doubt would have got!

Excellent location convenient for those getting the ferry. Also close to supermarkets, restaurants, parks and sights of special interest. Rooms were clean. Air con was great. Rooftop bar, coffee shop/cafe and restaurant were an easy option to visit.

If you get a room with a top side bed, you have some climbing to do. Not great when jet lagged and needing the loo. The shower facilities were clean but water pressure was only so so. Good luck getting product out of the complimentary bottles of shower gel/shampoo!

Great place to stay in the city and right opposite the ferry terminal which was super handy if you are catching the ferry. We stayed for 2.5 nights (we had to leave at midnight) so having no windows in our room wasn't too much of a biggy but probably would start to feel weird if you stay more than 4 nights. Nice outside common area on level 1 and the shared bathrooms was nice. There was someone cleaning all the time it seemed! The Reeftop Bar was beautiful, nice pizza and great cocktails and service (great for the NYE countdown!)

We stayed over New Years Eve and we had a rental car. I wish someone could have let us know when we booked that we had to book a parking spot for our car. When we arrived for checked in reception asked if we have booked as there were no more spaces in their gated parking area. There are spots around to park for free but I wish this was mentioned before our arrival. Also a mention about the city tax they charged on top of our stay which we didn't know until check in (another place we stayed had this included in the price) Also not all the bathrooms on the 1st floor had soap dispensers next to the sink.

Well located near the ferry terminal. Small but clean and comfortable room. Staff was extremely accommodating and kept our bags until our later flight that evening. Even allowed us to take a shower in the evening prior to going to the airport. Roof top bar has an amazing view for sunset.

If you have a room with the beds high above the grounds ( 7 feet) you must climb with the ladder. This may not be recommended for people with balance issues.

For more details you can check my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer For our 9-night stay in French Polynesia, we opted to divide our time between two islands: Moorea and Bora Bora. Upon arriving in French Polynesia, your initial destination is Papeete, Tahiti. Despite the island’s attractions, we concluded that spending just one night there would suffice before taking the ferry to Moorea. Our arrival in Papeete, around 10:20 PM, led us to take a taxi to our hotel, Polynesian Cabins by Kon Tiki, conveniently located across the road from the ferry terminal. The taxi fare from the airport was 3000 Francs (27$/25€). Paying $98 for a night in a Polynesian Cabin, which resembled a train cabin with an external shower and restroom, met our needs well, especially considering a double room would have cost $250/night. The hotel proved clean and comfortable, providing a suitable place to rest after the 9:30-hour direct flight from Seattle. While breakfast at the hotel cost 3000 francs (27$/25€)/person, we chose to explore and enjoy a meal at a local bakery. When selecting a hotel for a short stay, my criteria include: 1️⃣Location: I seek a hotel in a convenient spot, ensuring easy access to planned activities even if I won’t spend much time in the room. 📍 2️⃣ Affordability: I prioritize budget-friendly options to maximize savings, especially when anticipating minimal time in the hotel room. 💰 3️⃣ Basic Amenities: I look for hotels providing essential amenities like a comfy bed, clean bathroom, and Wi-Fi for a brief yet pleasant stay. 🛏️🚿 4️⃣ Quick Check-In/Out: I choose a hotel with efficient check-in and check-out processes to streamline my experience and save time. ⏰ 5️⃣ Security: I prioritize hotels with reliable security measures, ensuring my belongings are safe for worry-free exploration. 🔒✨ 📌 What factors guide your selection of hotels for brief stays?

The personnel wasn’t the kindest.
