Great location. Beautiful views. Rentals available right on location for snorkeling, SUP, etc. Service is great. Nice bar with a beautiful location to watch the sunset. Excellent on location restaurant.

Only one restaurant on location. Would like more options, as there are not many other restaurants within walking distance. Nice pool but not heated and no beach access from the hotel. A small lagoon but otherwise need to travel to a beach.

It is actually pretty hard to beat the infinity pool overlooking Moorea with a swim up bar. The associated restaurant was also a very nice first night in French Polynesia. Food was really great and turns out pricey food is not unusual for FP. You’re paying for the incredible position as well here. Really enjoyable tasty and cheaper alternatives were the food trucks just opposite the resort or a short walk north. Share meals here - servings were huge. There was a little market close by and larger supermarkets further north. Staff were unfailingly polite and pleasant over 5 days. Wifi was the best in FP - excellent (we had some bad wifi). The gym was a little cramped, but when empty it was fine. Our garden view apartment was excellent if a little odd in configuration - the sofabed downstairs meant our teenage daughters pretty much had their own bedroom. Huge apartment overall.

I wasn’t massively keen on all the taxi rides in and out of Papeete for the airport/ ferry/ markets, but in the end after seeing Papeete, I’m not sorry I didn’t stay closer to the centre and overall I think the Te Moana location worked well for us

We spent two nights here after a week in Moorea, we really enjoyed everything about the resort, yes food and drinks are expensive, but It is expensive everywhere in French Polynesia. All the food and drinks we had were tasty and reasonable size portions. Yes the resort is looking a bit tired but it is reflected in the price, you are not paying Hilton rates! So for us it was good value compared to what you can pay elsewhere. Make sure you book a water side table for dinner at the restaurant and also out on the little bar islands for sunset, watching the fish in the lights is fun and we enjoyed both tables. Also book a table at blue banana down the road, great food and friendly service, again book a water table. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with ocean view, the view was amazing :)

No complaints

Nice resort with beautiful sunset views on neighbouring island Moorea and the surrounding reef. Very helpful staff, several amenities like diving and car rental available in resort. Rooms are nice and quite modern. Beautiful infinity pool with bars and lagoon swim in the sea. Good breakfast buffet and very good restaurant for dinner and lunch. Transit room with showers are great for those leaving during the night - this reflects the high customer orientation perceivable in the resort. Good value although on the pricier side for solo travelers.

Not all rooms have balcony / terasse. Rooms towards the street are obviously noisier (although traffic does calm down during sleeping times.).

Our stay started off really bad, but the staff worked hard to make up for it the next day by changing our room twice. At the end, we had a great experience but getting to that great experience was a journey. Details: When we first arrived, the front desk lady very was abrupt- as if we were interrupting her evening by checking into our room. She spoke fast, & didn't look at us when talking. Because she wasn't looking, not paying attention, she kept asking us to repeat our questions. It was weird. We wondered if this was Tahitian culture as it was our first night in Tahiti after a long international flight. When we got to the assigned room - it was noisy on the main road and smelled of cigarettes- like really bad. I told the front desk that my daughter and I couldn't stay in a smoking room. They came to the room, found a burned cigar in the corner floor of the room, took it, and sprayed the room, while we were in it (they wore masks and didn't tell us that they were going to spray while we were in the room) The spray was strong and potent, it gave us headaches and made us feel ill - I went downstairs and said we can NOT be in that room. The front desk person got even more irritated with us. I felt like I made a mistake prepaying 2 nights for this run-down hotel. It took some determination but after a bit, they changed our room to one across the hall and we finally slept - but that first night was not fun. In the morning, we found a note under our door to meet the manager at the front desk. I was sure I was in trouble for being persistent on the room change, but when we got to the front desk there was a different team & they apologized profusely for what happened the night before & offered to upgrade our second evening in a family suite. From this point on we had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The free kayaks & pool, & the staff (apart from the first crazy front desk person) were great.

See the whole story.

We are budget travelers. We rented the 2 bedroom ocean view apartment. And it was exactly as presented on the website. The kitchen had a 2 burner stovetop, microwave, a full size refrigerator, a toaster, an electric kettle, and a kuerig-style coffee maker with 2 pods of coffee. The living area had a sofa and a chair. One bedroom had a king bed and the other room had two twin beds. There is only one bathroom which had a bathtub, shower and double sink vanity. The toilet was a separate room and near the kitchen. We were able to walk about 10-15 minutes away to get food to cook. There was a large patio that had a table to seat six and two lounge chairs. There was a sliding door from the living area and a separate sliding door from the bedroom with the king bed. It was the most beautiful view to wake up to. You can see the pool and outdoor bar area as well as Moorea. This room worked well for a couple traveling with friends. The staff is also friendly and helpful. The pool area is very nice- but very pricey drinks. $28+ for specialty drinks and around $10 for a draft beer. The location is also good- about 10-15 minutes from the airport and ferry. The taxi ride from the airport was about $30 for two people.

The only downfall was having only one bathroom. But this would not deter me from staying here again. The food and drinks were also pretty pricey.

I liked the lagoon for ocean swimming and the snorkeling trip. I should say that some reviews said that their reservation was bumped and they didn't have a place to stay, so I was worried about that, but I had no problems. Room was very large and had Netflix availability from my app. The shower room was a terrific bonus I was not expecting - that is, the availability at the end of my stay after checking out to use a shower before my overnight flight.

The housekeeping staff did not clean room on a day I put out the hanger, and I returned at 3pm to find it wasn't cleaned and someone showed up a little later to clean.

Location is perfect, sunsets were amazing. Great selection of cocktails and drinks. The Pool and access to the sea for snorkelling also great. Although there is a fast current that runs along the inside of the reef so it’s not suitable for all swimmers. The guys that run the water sports are very helpful and always happy to see you 10/10. Staff are very helpful and attentive. If I were to return to Tahiti then I would definitely stay again.

I stayed in 2 different garden rooms, the first one was very clean and tidy, the second one facing the back of the restaurant was a bit tired and needed some TLC to bring it back up to a higher level.

pool and ocean views are fantastic. View from our room was wonderful. Enjoyed lunch at the pool restaurant. We spent the afternoon on the motu with pina coladas that were great! The beds were comfortable and had we known we would have a kitchen we would have been prepared for that.

We checked out at 11 am and were offered the use of the resort for the day as our flight was to leave at 10:30 pm. We were offered a shower room to use to refresh after our day on the beach. WE had had one two years ago when we were here that was very satisfactory but this time there were three of us but the room wasn't even big enough for two and the room was not air conditioned so the shower was of no use. After getting out of the shower it was impossible to dry off and we stood guard for each other in order to keep the door open while we dressed. All in all, I would have just changed into dirty clothes for the trip home and hope to have some personal space on the airplane ride home.

Arrived back to Tahiti from Taha’a for our last day in the early afternoon. Didn’t want to do any tours or hang at airport for 10 hours(flight home at midnight), so rented room short term near airport. Taxi a mere $20 US from Faa. Changed & hung out at endless pool swimming/sunning & had a beer while watching the sunset & kite boarders. So beautiful. We weren’t staying over for our included free breakfast, so they offered to drop some food for us around 6pm. We thought I’d be a snack. It was drinks, cheeses, breads, meats….incredible. We didn’t need to go out to eat so we had that & took a nap & headed back to airport with a taxi they called for. So easy & they were so accommodating. Perfect transition! And they upgraded our room too. Superb staff!

Not much. Was perfect for our needs.
