We loved this little hotel with excellent location, so convenient in the middle of Bacharach. Friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. Free parking outside town walls, which is just a steps away. Hotel room had balcony, comfortable beds, adequate bathrooms, indoor pool and sauna. But most of all the helpfulness of the staff, Ellen, was outstanding, as well as the location. Bacharach is the place to stay, and this hotel is a great find, especially for the price. Would highly recommend!

This is a sweet little inn in a great locale. Bacharach is full of old-world charm with lots of places to walk, eat and see. Our room at the Bacharacher Hof was very comfortable, with a little balcony to enjoy at the end of the day. We didn't use the pool, but others did. Parking was free a block or so away. The Rhine is just across the road, with a lovely riverside walk. You can explore the old stone city walls and many nooks and crannies in the town. Other Rhine gems are minutes away, making this an excellent hub for exploring castles and wineries. One of the best experiences was the included breakfast at the hotel. What a feast! Breads and pastries, meats and cheeses, fresh juice, wonderful coffee. And the hostess made it all so special. Her English is perfect and she seems to know just what you need. She is a bundle of smiles and energy. We would highly recommend a stay in Bacharach and especially at the Bacharacher Hof.

Everything was very nice. There is no air conditioning but the breeze from the balcony kept the room cool at night.

Great location in the centre of Bacharach (beautiful town on the Rhine) very close to car parking (and they kindly provided a sign we could put in our car so the parking was free). Good sized room with a big fan (it was hot day so both were much appreciated). Even better - an indoor small swimming pool so nice after a hot day castle visiting. Breakfast was really good with lots of variety - excellent sausages, fresh made smoothie - though avoid the Yorkshire tea - well worth buying your room with breakfast included. Staff friendly.

Not the hotels fault but can be hard to find somewhere to eat on a Monday evening (many restaurants closed that night) but we managed okay.

The breakfasts were the best part of staying at the Bacharacher Hof. It was delicious and the setting was cosy and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the view was absolutely perfect. I wish we had more time and more information about local wineries but I know the host would have helped if we asked. We did the boat tour and loved the scene. It was a return to the Rhine region for me and it was like going home. Another nice option was paying $10 for a travel bottle of iced white wine and glasses… such a perk to have this ease towards a picnic. We took ours to the banks of the St. Goar. The host was kind enough to run a load of laundry for me at $10 and it was a lifesaver on our long journey. The pool was great but wish the sauna was ready to use when in the pool .. I guess you have to ask for help in advance.

I am not sure it rises to the level of ‘not liking’ but the room was a little warm even with the windows open. I would suggest a few more working fans. One of ours was not working.

The Bacharacher Hof was the perfect place for us to stay on our first Rhine Valley trip. Our check-in was super easy, and we felt very welcome. Easy access by car right off the main road, and parking spot was provided during our stay, which is great as you do not need a car while in Bacharach. The hostess was super nice, friendly and helpful making recommendations for the best wineries and giving advice on ferries when we checked out. The buffet-style breakfast was perfect- highly recommended if you are staying in the Hof. Great variety of choices and really premium quality. Both of the double rooms we and our friends had were comfortable and we slept really great! Hope to return and also try the swimming pool and the sauna, which is open 24-hours!

I loved staying here, the hosts were a really nice family and they were super caring and sweet. We had a brand new room and a few things weren't fully working yet but they fixed it right away which I really appreciated. The room was also very nice, comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. They even have a swimming pool with a sauna which I was very happy with :) also a big breakfast, lots of choices to eat/drink!

The only thing I didn't realize was how close you are to the railway. Our room was on the train side so you could hear every train passing by. I'm a light sleeper so that kept me awake sometimes but if you bring some earplugs you'll be fine!

Location and friendly staff. We got a present in the form of bottle of wine on departure to compensate for the TV set not working (which eventually was not a problem at all).

No cable connection with TV set (but we could watch the women's soccer world cup on it using our laptop and an HDMI cable).

The owner was very friendly helpful and accommodating. Rooms were adequate for our stay, with balcony, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a varied selection of choice. they accommodated the parking for our Motorcycles next to the hotel, which was perfect. Location was excellent, and the town lovely, would have liked to spend an extra day, but travel arrangements did not allow.

it was I felt a little expensive, but not overly.

public parking was only 100m away so it was an easy walk to the hotel. The old elevator is very small - just enough room for 2 people and our two hand carry bags but, initially, no light working inside the elevator. There was a good selection of breakfast items. The location was excellent - almost in the centre of the delightful town.

We never managed to get hot showers - the water was warm, but not hot. The twin room was ok but if we had large suitcases with us it would have been a tight squeeze.

Interesting location inside the city walls. Cobblestone streets and old buildings! You expect Geppetto to come around the corner! Parking is just outside the wall but you can drive in to unload. Pool was warm and very nice. Our room had a small balcony and was very quiet. Nice breakfast room with lots of variety. Staff was very nice and helpful.
