The location was perfect for a trip to the Rhine River. This is a dreamy little town and the hotel/restaurant staff was extra special. We were not expecting a parking spot right at the hotel, it was extra special! The food at the restaurant was great, and sitting outside at the streetside cafe was really nice. The room was cool during this June trip, with a table to sit at and comfortable beds. Great place to stay! I would definitely book here again.
Honestly, I cannot think of anything I did not like about this place. Perhaps stairs; there was no elevator. But that is pretty common in Europe. Walking up one flight of stairs was worth it for this nice room.

It is a charming hotel operated by very friendly and accomodating staff. The hotel rooms are at the second floor of the Cafe.. restaurant which offer a good selection of tasty foods. I really enjoyed salad and roast pork with the local wine. The room we got was rather interesting layout with huge bathroom (Toilet, bidet, bath tub and separte shower room and huge sink) and a little balcony with a view of the church. I enjoyed staying this place. We were driving car and the hotel provides free parking permits for the public parking space. They run out of the permits but provided us money to buy a ticket for a night. We were very glad to stay two nights in Bacharach, there are something spacial in this beautiful town even at night, as well great town to start Rhine River Cruise to both ways.
Not sure if a safe in the room was working or I just did not understand how it works.

Great location right off the main street. The restaurant here must be well known for its food and cake because the tables outside were full of locals every afternoon and evening. We had excellent dinner and cake there ourselves! I was a little worried about being right next to the church (early morning bells!) but the first ringing was 8 am and the last not too late. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom very updated. Great water pressure in the shower!
Nothing really, except my complaint about every German hotel- only a thick duvet for bedding that is too hot for summer.

This is absolutely wonderful, cozy, little hotel in the center of the town. The people working there are the most friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and has everything that a traveler may need. It has a very well organized bathroom with the excellent shower. We were provided with the parking space. The breakfast was superb: large variety of choices and served beautifully. The hotel has its own restaurant. It takes a couple of minutes to get to the start of the ascend to the Castle. The views are spectacular to the town, Rhine river and grape yards on the slopes. Lots of hiking paths.

We did not eat breakfast. I love Bacharach. The main guy was friendly and accommodating. In the middle of town. The only stay in Germany that already had a fan in the room. The bathroom was perfect.
The stairs to the 2nd floor were steep. The hotels in town are older buildings and that could not be helped.

The breakfast was excellent. The beds were roomy and very comfortable for a tall family of four. The water pressure was great. The staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful.
The room was a little tight for four people with luggage. The door lock was old and tricky to use.

Room number 7 was very spacious with cool wooden beams dividing the bedroom and windows/a door on 3 sides of a patio squeezed in between two sides of the building. There was a mini fridge and we had two bottles of water in the room (one still and one sparkling) each night. The bathroom was enormous and had a tub, sink, bidet, urinal with lid, toilet, and shower! The space was private and the Wernerkapelle was out the window. The hosts were very polite and respectful. The house is old and not fancy but it felt like it had been lived in in the past. The restaurant serves a wide variety of middle-of-the-road German food, pizza and wine for a reasonable price. The hotel is steps from the path to the Postenturm, and if you descend the trail from the chapel you’ll be delivered right to your front door. The hotel also provides a place to lock bikes in the back.
The only thing they didn’t have was a fan for the hot nights. Fortunately with all the windows we were able to get air into the room. The patio should also be cleaned when the room is cleaned. There is some car noise from the street if that bothers you - the street looks very small but I think it is the main road through the town and up into the mountains.

Very nice property in great location, good breakfast offered.
It was very hot when we stayed and there was no ventilation because the room was walled in outside of the windows, however the staff made sure we had a fan the second night making the room much more comfortable.

The location was beautiful! So pretty to walk around.
There was nothing wrong with the place. It was just a simple place to stay. I think what we enjoyed at other places we stayed in Germany was more personality and culture in decor.

The attitude and professionalism of the personnel. Felt welcome and taken care of. The location is perfect and the views from the cafe are beautiful. The railway is not really heard here. The beds were good, the breakfast fine. A cozy place. The food was fine as well.
The rooms are maybe not as modern as they could be, and our three person room only had views to another house 3m across -- but it was quiet and the town is otherwise so pretty that this does not matter much.
