We loved the friendliness and service level of the staff, the breakfast was amazing, the garden and patio and views were really nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our evenings on the patio. The thermal spa nearby, was very relaxing, although a bit of a walk through the outside, so definitely requires getting dressed to go back and forth.

The 1st room, the one we initially booked did not have air conditioniong and on a 30 degree day it was very toasty. We were able to switch to another room with air conditioning for a small upcharge, but unfortunately that room and bathroom were significantly smaller. There was no bidet in the bathroom of the 2nd room and instead of a double bed, it had 2 twin beds, which did not fit together seamlessly, but with a gap, and that was not that comfortable.

The room we got first was not great and not what we expected (noisy and the aircon was broken). When we asked for a change they were very accomodating and the new room was great. The view at the breakfast terrace and also the restaurant are beautiful! It was so nice to sit there to have a drink and just enjoy the moment. Our dinner was also delicious. The location of the hotel is perfect!

You can hear the sound of the trains as the train tracks are on the other side of the river and the quality of the breakfast buffet could be better. Most of the staff was very friendly, but there were exceptions.

It was all very enjoyable. The breakfast was extremely bountiful. The room was spacious (junior suite) and comfortable, as where the beds. The location was quite central. The spa and pools were delightful. The personnel were very accommodating. It was enjoyable. We were even able to have coffee and cake up where the pool was. Fun!

We reserved a table for a birthday breakfast and it was set up the night before. When our party came down, another large group took it and there was nothing to do but push tables together for us. The waiter the night before was GREAT and set our birthday dinner table up for us and promised to have it set up for the next morning. When we came down, our number was moved and even with apologies, it was disappointing to have to sit where we did not plan to.

Great variety of foods for breakfast with new options each day, professional helpful staff, location is close to several sightseeing spots: Hrensko, Bastei brücke, Lilienstein and many more hiking destinations. Free access to the thermal nearby. Closed parking garage accessible with the room card (improvement! some years ago I had to ring each time I wanted to enter). Fridge and safe available in the room. Although the hotel has many customers with small kids but the rooms are soundproof, we did not hear noise.

Very poor WIFI (!!!). Connection got broken all the time. In the age of smart devices, mobile working and streaming services, there is no excuse to have such bad quality internet in a hotel. I tried to finish some work but was simply not possible. Please fix it! It is a must in 2022 (almost 2023) to have reliable internet available.

This is a good hotel and the staff know it. A consequence is they are professional, polite, do their jobs with excellence. The breakfast was great, rooms spacious and clean, and facilities immaculate. Although we did not use the sauna (external to our cultural needs) many guests seemed to. Bad Schandau is a great little town, worth the visit and worth using to access the National Park.

There were no terrible issues, but some details not expected in a 5-Star hotel: 1) We requested for a COT (baby bed), we had to ask for it 3 times. 2) 1st night, baby wet the sheets, we put them together with some towels for change. Cleaning team put new towels but REUSED the wet cot sheet. 3) Many hairs on the floor of the bathroom when we entered the room and spider web in the balcony. 4) The water in the bad in the garden has big living worms, we realized after our baby put his toes in the water. 5) Coffee machine in the room would be a great asset

Very central position near ferry for station and bus station. Nice swimming pool. Evening 3 course set menu was good value.

Our room was quite small ( probably just about the 26 sq meters stated) and in the old part of the hotel, so we had to keep moving bags around. The reception dining and pool areas were much more modern, and spacious.

The extensive breakfast, the nice garden, the indoor swimming pool/sauna.

The matresses were too hard for us, but we understand that this is a personnel preference. Other people will probably find them excellent.

Exceptional location of the hotel right on the river bank. I appreciate the tactful and highly professional approach of the staff. The premises are really clean and regularly cleaned.

The feedback for management: some members of staff didn’t speak English at sufficient level. But everyone was genuinely polite and helpful.

Nice layout near the river and a very nice hotel with lots of facilities. Comfy big rooms with nice beds and extensive breakfast being served.

The room didn't have airconditioning and became very hot. Opening the windows all night is a proper solutions if it wasn'for the churchbells going every hour.
