Amazing to stay in a proper castle!! It was/is partly a youth hostel and that’s evident in the decor of the rooms. However, it was very comfortable and quiet. Great views across the valley. The lady at reception was super friendly. Easy bus access to Bad Schandau and Bastei. Good breakfast buffet with fresh Brötchen!

Awesome location, staying in a castle on a dramatic rock formation. mega wow! friendly staff and nice rooms with great views and layout.

The location is on the "Malerweg" and I highly recommend this old, refurbished castle for a comfortable place to stay in. The breakfast was included in the price and it was all you can eat.

The location is breathtaking! In the castle you will find many surprises and it's just perfect for kids. The staff was super friendly and our room was very comfortable.
We hardly had any connection to the internet. We traveled by bus and it was really difficult to plan our journey without internet.

The property was on the Malerweg. It had a very good breakfast
the internet didn’t work and there is no mobile coverage. as a solo traveller hiking the route, not having checked in caused some concern.

was lovely to stay in a castle! great views, fab location as we arrived on the malerweg, a really great spot for a lovely cold pint when we got in. Dinner was a bargain.

Amazing location in an old castle, beautiful views and environment close to Malerweg. Very friendly staff & clean and spacious rooms.
No wifi in the room, but that was a good opportunity to go offline.
