Advantages: close easy access to the S-bahn or U-bahn if you are using public transport. Groceries are near, but not that near. Nice towel. Second most comfortable bed on my trip. Sink in room. Nice 2-ply toilet paper. Good lighting. Actual chair for sitting rather than just on the bed. Large shrank for clothing. Despite proximity to the freeway, I heard no outside noise from traffic in my room. Helpful staff.

Cons: when I arrived, there was a notice on the inside of the building door notifying us of intermittent hot water. My WC and shower were down the hall, but private. Not near attractions for tourists. Noisy floor in hallways. Make sure you do your research if you are leaving airport early to be sure the train you want is running; plenty of options, but be sure you look ahead to see before counting on making it there via S42 at 4AM.

We've chosen this venue for a single reason - price for money. In that regard. It fulfilled our expectations. Everything wasn't new, but beds and bathroom were clean, towels were provided, receptionist was helpful.

Watch out for the "free parking nearby". 1) it's not provided by hotel 2) depends on how lucky you get. There are just some one-way streets around the building, that are used by the people that live there. There is also some public parking spot nearby, but you're also not guaranteed to find a spot there. Fortunately, we did and nothing happened to our car.

The staff speaks english good, they were very welcoming. The size of the room was good. It was very clean and organized. In this point, it exceeded our expectations.

Location was good but still little bit far from other things. The bed was ok but do not expect super comfortable (still good for travelers who are used to). Also, it might be difficult to open the windows since the train passes by your room. We were not bothered by it since we were tired and needed sleep.

The location!!! It's literally 1 min on foot from S-Bahn (the Berlin ring, S41+42) Messe Nord, which is one stop from Westkreuz which gets you *everywhere* in Berlin. 2 mins on foot away you got Lietzensee park and lake, and it's fabulous; 15 mins away is Charlottenburg castle (and a useful self-service laundrette, which also works fine). And - right in front of the hotel a kebab joint with seats and tables which is open almost 24/7 and accepts credit card, I ate there every day!

The inside of the hotel as well as the rooms is quite dated, looks from 1970ies, or like an oldish youth hostel. The doors look somewhat flimsy. Having said that, the price level is low enough for this not to be a problem for a single traveller - it definitely looks on the shabby side, but hey you get what you pay for! It's all right, everything's clean and OK, just quite a bit old and on the Spartan side - but comes at half the price other hotels in Berlin ask.

We really enjoyed the stay in this hotel. The owners were nice and kind, they spoke three languages: English, German and Russian. Everything mentioned in the description was true, although the only minus was the speed of the internet, which was very slow. We also enjoyed the fact that the owners accomodated us 2 hours prior to the official time.

It was cheap and in a good location for us. The beds and the facilities were comfortable.

We had to look for a parking spot and in the end parked several streets away. The staff didn’t really speak English.

The staff knows little to no English, however, they showed a disposition to understand and good service. So they are friendly. It was clean, calm, and the beds were comfortable.

It is an old building, so the wood floor sounds every time you walk in. But this is an understandable problem.

Many cafés and restaurants in the area. Close to the bus station and S-Bahn station.

The bathroom was small and it was noisy during the day while the cleaning staff was working. The elevator was not working.
