Nice quiet neighborhood away from all the crowd in Berlin. Spacious rooms with big balcony and big bathroom was really a delight. They have sauna and swimming pool which was very clean and well maintained. Nice friendly staff as well. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in a European hotel, lots of vegetarian options. Good heating in the room.

The bed/mattress and towels could have been better for a 4 star hotel. A kettle in the room with some tea bags and coffee, would have been great specially for winters. It was hard to understand the room cleaning schedule, sometimes morning at 9 and sometimes at 12 noon.

Although a bit dated, the room was a good size and well appointed. The location was outstanding, quick and easy access to local transport and a number of very good restaurants within easy walking distance. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The indoor pool was nice.

We had a faulty light in the entrance hall of the room, which although reported immediately on check-in, was not repaired until six days later, apparently due to a lack of maintenance personnel; we were given one free breakfast as an apology. With no aircon, it was necessary to leave the windows open, which results in a lot of early morning street noise. Breakfast is an optional extra at €23 per person but the buffet is not worth the cost.

Lovely hotel. Clean and comfy room, bathroom was gorgeous. In a nice quiet location which is about a 20 minute U-bahn ride into the centre which we didn't mind. Breakfast was lovely. Would recommend.

Although the soundproofing to the outside was good it wasn't so good between rooms so we could hear other guests having some sort of party the last two nights. Also the breakfast on the last day was slightly disappointing as a lot of stuff had run out an hour before it finished and wasn't topped up. But overall a lovely stay.

We chose this hotel as it was within walking distance (30 minutes) of the Olympic Stadium for the final match of EURO 2024. We really enjoyed our 3-night stay. The hotel is in a quiet, safe, established residential area of Berlin and is only a 7-minute walk to the metro and 13-minute walk to the S-Bahn, so quick and easy access to the main sights. I had an economy single room which was small but comfortable; my (adult) children stayed in a standard room which was significantly bigger. Be warned there is no air conditioning but fans were provided and were very welcome.

Only negative comment would be that there was a strong musty smell in the standard room used by my children.

The staff was really nice and polite and gave us all the information needed, the room was spacious and even the cleaning personnel was amazing, asking politely when they could come to clean and take care of the room. Overall the surroundings of the hotel is really quiet and the rooms provide comfortable beds, armchairs, and a table and mini fridge. The bathroom is very big and allows for all the comfort you might need. The balcony was amazing and breakfast in the morning sun worked great.

The hotel is somewhat outside of the inner city of Berlin, meaning, while the metro station is only a 2 minutes beside the hotel, it takes 30 mins to the inner city with it. I would have also like a tea kettle or water kettle in the room where I could make some tea.

It was a delightful experience staying at Bernstein Hotel Villa Kastania. If you book there, make sure to meet Virgil Lingen at reception. His warm welcome and exceptional service made my stay truly memorable. Virgil went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Free parking was easily available on the street and breakfast is also delicious. Highly recommended!

Although the lift was a bit small, Virgil's outstanding hospitality more than made up for it.

the property is cute with a pool and helpful staff.

i paid a lot for a room without an airconditioned. i have two kids who struggled sleeping with bery hot bedroom. we only had a small fan. hope they would do so something about it. they could have upgraded the doors with card operated lock. we are having hard time locking and opening it everytime. We also eft our key hanging from the inside and we cant go in.

I loved my charming room. Perfect for one person. Bathroom had everything I needed and plenty of hot water for a shower. I kept the sliding door open at night since it was cool. Beautiful view from balcony. I enjoyed cappuccino in the lovely dining area in the morning.

I had a good rate. Thought it included advertised swimming pool, sauna etc and air conditioning. Beware…extra fees (per person/day) for swimming etc. and only select rooms have air conditioning. I was lucky it was cool for August. Read the fine print!

The room was well equipped, bathroom was clean and big. We had a good sleep, because the bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night.. Short way to U-bahn, a lot of shops nearby. Gratis parking on the street. We stayed just one night on our way from Danmark to Poland, and this place was perfect for a good rest after a long drive.

Maybe the hotell is too far from the centre for somebody who wants to stay longer in Berlin.

Near to Olympic stadium (for concert) excellent transport links (to get into Berlin centre within 20/30 mins) nice staff, clean hotel, breakfast available in restaurant, everything you need (only small criticism tv only in German…as you would expect…but no English channels) obviously after long day would be nice maybe hour of tv before bed but this was nothing

As above….tv only in German, also no air conditioning..was provided with a desk fan but was very hot during our stay so meant even with fan on room was very warm and stuffy
