I loved my charming room. Perfect for one person. Bathroom had everything I needed and plenty of hot water for a shower. I kept the sliding door open at night since it was cool. Beautiful view from balcony. I enjoyed cappuccino in the lovely dining area in the morning.

I had a good rate. Thought it included advertised swimming pool, sauna etc and air conditioning. Beware…extra fees (per person/day) for swimming etc. and only select rooms have air conditioning. I was lucky it was cool for August. Read the fine print!

Near to Olympic stadium (for concert) excellent transport links (to get into Berlin centre within 20/30 mins) nice staff, clean hotel, breakfast available in restaurant, everything you need (only small criticism tv only in German…as you would expect…but no English channels) obviously after long day would be nice maybe hour of tv before bed but this was nothing

As above….tv only in German, also no air conditioning..was provided with a desk fan but was very hot during our stay so meant even with fan on room was very warm and stuffy

Reception shuts at midnight sign on door says to go around the back, key didn't work. Stood outside attempting to contact booking.com. eventually got in but there should be a number displayed for maintenance team in the event this happens again. It doesn't feel safe walking around a dark car park with a timer switch light and key that doesn't work. If travelling alone I would have felt unsafe with this set up. You need to clearly provide a number for any issues with keys after midnight. Price of hotel is not worth the facilities...the swim pool and leisure facilities are an extra cost and no mention of leisure facilities or access to them in the room welcome manual. The additional charge for breakfast is over priced in comparison to local restaurants.

there should be airconditioneer for this value. All otheer things are good. Staff is excellent.

Great location. Close to public transport. Restaurants and bars are many and nearby. My room on the ground floor had a little garden too with table and seating. Wellness is extra cost but it worth it. Sauna and steambath plus a nice swimming pool with a very strong countercurrent jet. Breakfast was nice too. Fresh fruits good variety of cheese and ham. Eggs and wurst also.

Restaurant on site does not work. It would be nice to have a bar at least.

Breakfast was compact, but all that you'd expect from a continental breakfast. Wellness area is very compact but has all the basic equipment you'd expect from a wellness area. Bathroom has good area. Area around is quiet. Parking spaces available on the street. Nice art decoration around the building. Good restaurant attached. Good selection in the mini bar. Reception staff is friendly.

Breakfast staff was not friendly. Sauna usage costs extra (14 euros per sauna type). Some equipment was not available (cold dip). Hotel furniture is old (albeit well maintained). Not recommended if you're looking to be close to tourist attractions (although Berlin mobility compensates for that).

The junior suites are superb and air-conditioned - and all other rooms are comfortable too. In our rate breakfast was not included and had to be paid separately and directly to the waitress - we were surprised that we couldn't sign a bill and put it on the room account after giving our room number (we were asked for it when we entered the breakfast room) We learned at reception that restaurant and breakfast are managed separately now. It was new to us on this first visit after the Corona lockdowns - the pre-Corona breakfast buffet has changed too (except for jam, scrambled egg, boiled eggs, yoghourt pots, fried sausages and ham) a prepared plate with some cold cuts, cheese and butter was served. This might have changed in many hotels for hygienic reasons due to the pandemic. It is still a nice breakfast and restaurant with a lovely garden area too - very enjoyable in the warmer seasons. We consider Villa Kastania our 'oasis in Berlin' since more than 40 years and there was always improvement. The hotel has been just beautiful for all those years we have been guests there. It was always fresh and boutique style maintained and renovated. The hotel is privately owned, very well managed with charme and attention to detail, last but not least it is spotlessly clean. The location is superb - close to public transport, near the ICC and Messe Berlin, Olympiastadium and Waldbuehne. In Reichstrasse - a very short and pleasant stroll away - one can find pharmacies, all kind of services and shops from pharmacy to delicatessen, coffee shops and restaurants. A quiet and very pleasant area. Street parking is possible, but the hotel is offering a private parking area too which is available on request for a reasonable daily fee.

We like Villa Kastania, but if there is one thing, we would prefer, it would be a walk-in shower instead of the combined bath/shower facility. We would feel more comfortable and secure since we are seniors now! However, the bath tub access is still acceptable as it is not too high. Also there are security handles to hold on to.

Amazing stuff, very warm and cozy place to stay. Authentic, with excellent location with everything that you need. Near by there are lot of markets, restaurants, whatever you want and need. . Conection to the city, exactly station is only few minutes away. It's really clean, and comfortable, the room is perfect size, equped with everything.Free parking is also in front of, and around, in a calm street. Recomendation to stay and spent time there.

the interior has a somewhat old-fashioned style, but overall it is very cozy, the employer who served us at the check in was super friendly although we arrived late in the evening and we had a nice and warm welcome.

the interior was not my style but everything was clean so only a personal aspect and it was a bit expensive for the Weekend but it was the marathon and festival weekend so we simply had bad luck

The room was very comfortable and clean. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful. I wanted to make hot water for tea, so they found a kettle for me. It was amazing to have a half hour of time to myself in their beautiful pool. I really enjoyed my stay.

The room ended up quite stuffy with the heat on, so I turned it off and opened the balcony door. Unfortunately, when I opened my balcony door there was a very strong smell of smoke that came into my room. I just closed the door and waited for it to cool down. It's not the hotel's fault at all, but it was a bit annoying.
