Friendly environment . Comfort Plus room (on the ground floor) even that bathroom was for disabled people it was still comfy with full scope of cosmetics . I had opportunity to choose diferent 4 rooms but still chose the one on the ground floor in nice patio . Hotel located in old building with great atmosphere . Breakfasts quite expensive but with best quality products . Right the corner of the hotel you will find also burger bar, 24/7 small Spati shop, pub and across the street bakery with also good breakfasts. Hotel is situated just in front of the bus stop and 5-10 min. walk to U railway. .Parking spot outside the hotel but still close to it . Reccommend !

This is one of the most aesthetic, clean and modern hotels I have ever been to. The facilities are really good and the design is superb. Staff was really friendly and helpful all the time. I lost my phone charger and the hotel had the chargers you could borrow from the reception for free. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Berlin next time.

I can't say that location was in the centre, but the bus stop was right in front of the hotel and metro just 6 mins away by feet. Berlin is big, so you cannot really access everything altogether:) Also breakfast was a bit overrated/overpriced in my opinion.

Comfortable bed. Clean and attractive room. Nice and helpful staff.

I stayed in a sky comfy room — the window was a skylight so there was no view — I knew this ahead of time but it’s something to be aware off. Coming into the room there was a step down which no one warned me about so I fell off of it with my suitcase, which could have ended badly but fortunately didn’t. The air conditioning worked fine the first two days but on the third it started making intermittently loud noises. I suspect it had something to do with the settings but there was no clear explanation of what to do to fix it which would have been helpful in the middle of the night.

Loved the eco aspect so there was a large overhead fan rather than air con, which was really nice and lulled you to sleep. The beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable - like sleeping in clouds. Sumptuous. Loved the design /decor and four poster bed. French doors opened straight onto a little courtyard. I also found the room super clean with a great shower. Location we found perfect for us next to the Neue Nationalgalerie. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was small but I think that is just what you get in cities where space is at a premium

We loved everything about this hotel - the candy bar, the funky style, the sweet little extras in the room (chocolate bunnies for our children, water bottles to take on-the-go, lovely soaps and shampoos, and so on). The location was great and parking was available next to the hotel, which made things very convenient when traveling by car. Everything was very clean and the unique style of the room made the stay even more pleasant. The room itself was large enough for us - we traveled with three children and a dog! Our older children loved sleeping up in the loft area and our little one adored the swing. Overall, a wonderful hotel and we will definitely stay here again when in Berlin.

I really liked the interior design of the room. It felt really thought through and had a luxurious feel to it. Nice materials. High ceilings. Bathroom was great with both a big tub and a separate shower. Good products in the bathroom. Nice bikes to rent. Friendly and helpful staff.

The bed wasn’t so comfortable. The top mattress was a bit hard (a bit like Tempur), and there was a big pit in the middle of the bed. Very thin pillows and it was a bit hard to get more pillows. Breakfast is not worth the money, go to Rocket and Basil nearby and treat yourself to a much more tasty breakfast. Other Guldsmeden hotels have better breakfast.

Lulu Goldsmeden has an overall nice vibe, it is clean and the rooms are comfortable. Good location with a bus stop right in front of it. Very quiet rooms. In general, nice staff.

When we checked in, the girl who helped us was really very unfriendly and not helpful at all. The staff is in the bar is very slow. We ordered two red wines in an almost completely empty bar (I think we were among the last four customers) and had to wait twenty (20!) minutes for them. We also had a very small bathroom in a room for four people.

Lulu Guldsmeden Berlin is, as intended, a little different hotel. The decor has unique feeling for a hotel, rooms have swings and some very different approaches to your normal hotel. It all works, creating an environment that is warm and less clinical than your normal hotel night. Because of this, my kids gave this place 10/10.

Unfortunately for families, right opposite of the hotel is a strip club and almost next door a sex cruising cellar. Rooms are rather small and if you come with the car, the parking system requires you to park illegally on the road and queue (I had to for 30 minutes) at reception to get your parking spot. As a parent, I gave this place 7+/10.

The rooms were quite nice and clean. My girls really enjoyed the swing in the room. I was really impressed with the amenities in the bathroom. The parking was safe and was reasonably priced.

The house keeping service could be improved as the new towels were not provided the next day after cleaning. However, staff was quite nice and fixed it right away. I was there for three nights and I saw that bathroom amenities were not replenished like vanity kit. The room didn’t have the fridge, which was a little inconvenient with small kids. Parking was safe but it was a little inconvenient to take and return keys to the reception. Also, if you block the way for even 2 minutes, the local residents there have no patience or common courtesy.

Loved my stay and barely wanted to leave! There's a bus stop right out front. All I used was public transportation so having the bus stop a few steps out the door and u-bahn stations a few minutes away made getting around Berlin effortless. The rooms were cozy, bed comfortable, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was amazing. Since I was a solo traveler they suggested the room with the larger bathroom and smaller room. The large standalone tub had a big window and I swear the floors were heated. It was never mentioned in the hotel description but walking on toasty bathroom floors made my morning. Oh and the breakfast is good! Worth getting out of bed for.

If you have heavy bags or are handy capped you will struggle to get to your room. The elevators are at half way points and require you to take stairs to get to the level where the rooms are.
