Beautiful entrance, clean hotel and welcoming check in. Close to the central.

We have been to few JW Marriott’s in the world and this one is on the bottom of our list. 5 star hotel but no butler at the entrance. I had to drag suitcases by myself… On the way to our room there was plates with left over food from the room service on the floor outside the rooms (next day was still there). Room was nice just enough for a couple. A little bit old… Reception should be 24/7… I have been calling at 1 AM because I needed extra towels but no response… Service and staff needs to be improved.

The room was big and clean and had everything needed in it. The staff was very nice and helpful with every question we had. The location is great, there are many museums nearby and it's only a few minutes walk from Postdamer Platz.

We booked a double bed room and there were two mattresses instead of one big mattress. Also the mattresses were too soft. The sauna didn't work.

The atmosphere in the hotel, location, polite and professional stuff (special and very big recommendation to a lady by the reception, Cecilia and to James Lee - the Chef), the pool and spa area are clean and well maintained, breakfast is 10/10...

The Executive Lounge is the worst I have ever been - the selection of the food was funny, one day just 3 types of some cold leftovers were served with some ordinary salads, no possibility to order a beer or any other alcoholic drink after 21:00 (although the lounge is open up to 23:00 ?!), no desserts on the level of this brand etc. In any case that is the weakest link in the chain in the hotel and the stuff is aware of the problem. Also, there were no mini-bar in the room.

Elegance

My room was supposed to be a king, but it was two twin beds put together. very uncomfortable to sleep.

I booked this stay because of the sauna and pool amongst the hotels offered by booking, as I arrived I was told pool and sauna were under maintenance . I was really upset due to the fact that no-one had informed me previously even if the wrote to ask about the arrival time and extras. I was planning to have a special family time with my son at the arrival and he was really upset about that too. As I asked to talk to the manager he came immediately and did all the best to let my stay be comfortable and satisfying by offering free breakfast and and a room in the refurbished floors .staff is very friendly and did everything they could to resolve all the little problems I encountered during the stay . would definitely recommend this hotel .

As a non-German speaker I was a little apprehensive about staying in Berlin but I needn't have been. Very, very friendly, accommodating staff who made sure our stay was fantastic. Food was amazing and the bar had enough of a selection for us to go there on a night rather than into town. Easy to find our way to the hotel as we walked everywhere and not too far from any of the sights of this fantastic city. Large room, very comfortable with an art-deco look throughout the hotel. From the second we arrived to the second we checked out we were made to feel very welcome.

Sometimes felt it was a bit too posh for a bloke like me!😄 But that was my feeling, nothing to do with the Marriott.

This property was vey accommodating we arrived very early in the morning. Check in was 3 pm but they let us check in early and enjoy our free breakfast. They were helpful communicating since we did not speak German. They helped us get restaurant reservations and taxi services. We stayed 3 night and the rates were reasonable. The hotel was centrally located to the the city center. The pool was nice and enjoyable. I would highly recommend.

Nothing really it meet or exceeded our expectations

The front desk (FOH) staff were fantastic, on my arrival they greeted me with a very professional & yet personable manner, they would open the doors, they were always smiling, always asking if there was anything they could do for me, very professional, clearly experienced, they obviously love working there, & they clearly enjoy working with each other.

The only thing i can think of is the fact that there are no ice machines, but when i asked i was told that ice is available from both the bar & restaurant, so really not a problem.

The Hotel Berlin Central is a very comfortable hotel with a beautiful large foyer and plenty of space. The room was great and the hotel is in an excellent position for exploring the sights of Berlin. I appreciated the free late checkout as I had an evening flight and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Although the breakfast itself was excellent, it doesn't come cheap at 35 Euros each time. Also, there is so much unused space at the hotel and they could easily open a coffee shop in addition to their main restaurant. There are no shops near the hotel at all to buy snacks etc.

Location was really good. Just out of the main area of the city which was nice not to have the hustle and bustle. Did a cruise along Spree River which we recommend, just relaxing with a glass of bubbly and able to see the main sights of Berlin from the river. A must see is the remains of the wall and the Topography of Terror, interesting historical features.

Altogether enjoyable experience in Berlin.
