Excellent location with lots of greenery around and so central. It's not far away from the U-Bahn station which is really a big plus!! The room was fine, clean, with nice comfortable single beds (which we requested), nice bathroom facilities! Good to have a safe too. We even had a view! Very sweet fairytale theme can be see throughout the hotel. Breakfast was great!! We loved the garden setting and really enjoyed starting the day there. Lots of choice, good coffee and very friendly service. There were even some vegetarian/vegan options. We also had dinner a few times at the restaurant Tischlein Deck Dich, which was very enjoyable. I was happy with the vegetarian/vegan options on the menu! Staff at reception was very helpful and friendly as well.

I can't really think of anything negative. Maybe just a suggestion to add some "vegan" cheese and plant based milk or yoghurt to the breakfast choices. Even on request or at an extra charge.

I really like the hotel, it's a great option to explore Berlin the whole day and rest at night. The room has a good size for European standards, and the bathroom in particular (the shower) was very nice. I also liked that they gave two pillows compared to one in many German hotels. The hotel is modern and has a relaxed vibe which I also enjoyed. Location is good also, a short walk from metro station and even close enough to reach most attractions by foot (at least for us, we prefer to discover the city by foot that public transport). I find that location, comfort and cleanliness are reasonably priced for what you get.

A mini fridge would be handy so one could keep a cold beverage. There is also no coffee machine in the room. The air conditioning did work, but it is not so controlable, for some reason it went off every night in the middle of the night and we woke up a bit warmer than we would like.

The hotel was friendly, welcoming (as were the exceptional staff. After being charged twice by this site, they couldn't do enough or investigate enough) The complimentary breakfast was next level. Meats, cheeses, pickles, smoked fish, fruits, full english, yogurt, cheesecakes... Everything you could imagine. The beds were extremely comfortable. I don't usually sleep well when traveling but the bed was clean and inviting. The shower was hot immediately and the pressure was incredible. The rooftop terrace was wonderful for taking in a panoramic view of Berlin. 10/10 I would absolutely stay here again and am planning to book directly with the hotel next time to avoid being charged twice for my holiday.

Grimms was perfectly situated to visit the sights in Berlin - we walked, used the tube, train and bus (all of which easily accessible on foot) but mostly went on foot. The location was a safe one and attractive views from our rooms. From first entering the hotel, we encountered helpful, friendly and cheerful staff. Our rooms were spotless, as was the whole reception/restaurant and lounge area. Breakfast was fantastic.....so much choice and beautifully presented. This could be eaten either inside or on the outside patio. We cannot fault this hotel nor its staff, all a credit to the hotel. If we return to Potsdam, we would certainly stay at Grimms again.....and happily highly recommend it to others looking for a friendly, centrally placed hotel, one we thought was excellent value for money.

If anyone finds something to dislike at this hotel, they have a big problem!

Almost everything. Simple but cosy design, clean, conveniently located for a visit in Berlin. Comfortable bathroom, room of just right size. Comfortable bed. Enough space in the wardrobe. Friendly staff.

There could be two chairs in a double room. The real drawback was ventilation not working in my room. With the outside temperatures of the early May and on the 7th floor the open window during a night was bearable. Later in the summer it would be a killer.

The hotel is very well located , quiet and near to the town center . Rooms are quite cosy and convenient with a large Italian shower. Breakfast is good and you can also have lunch or dinner at the « green » terrace of the restaurant . All people are very friendly and helpful . You can even rent bikes for visiting the city .

Decor was cool. Bed was extremely comfortable. We were beside gym which was great for us. Noise might be annoying if you aren't interested in gym. Location was amazing. Walking distance to lots of interesting places including Reichstag (which is free to enter -highly recommend). Good restaurants nearby if you go in right direction- towards Potsdamer Platz.

We arrived early so rooms weren't ready which was fine as we had been told check I would be 2pm. When we were waiting in reception for rooms to be available, receptionist didn't think to let us know when we could check in. She asked for passport every time we enquired if room was ready. Generally unimpressed with her customer service. We didn't have breakfast as we thought it was overpriced.

Location was great. Close to lots of restaurants, stores, bus stations. The room was cute and super functional. The bed was comfortable. I did find we couldn't get the room to a comfortable temperature at night. very warm. There is 1 restaurant in the hotel. It has so many options for food and seating. Inside, patio, court yard, covered patio.

On map it looks to have a good location, close to Potsdamer Platz. However, there is a 10-15 walk to this place through a street that is generally not touristy at all (one food outlets, one liquor store, just offices/buildings), anyway a pleasant walk. Hotel has a nice feel, focused on fairy tales by Grimm brothers, which is a nice touch. VERY (and I mean VERY) pleasant staff at reception, they made our day. Nice rooms.

Hotel has no own parking, you can park on the street or in parking garage nearby. It would be good to get more guidance on which is the better option (or maybe some discount for the garage). No electric kettle or coffee machine in the room, I would appreciate something like this.

Overall stay was very good. Room was cozy, WiFi without any issues and breakfast was diverse and very good. Lobby and restaurant both are very nice and the overall design of the hotel is very special. Also the heated bathroom floor was magnificent.

The only thing that I wasn't too comfortable with were the pillows, but that's a personal opinion which others might not share. Also, it would have been nice to have some slippers (though I haven't requested them with the reception).
