Great location, front of house staff excellent, clean and beautiful

Restaurant manager rude as hell. I’d just had surgery and returned to hotel for a couple of hours to recoup before flight. I queued at the bar for a good 5 minutes whilst he stood with his back to us facing the restaurant even though he’d seen us. When he did turn around he said “can you come over here to me please” refusing to actually rotate and take 4-5 steps to us. We did walk over and he said “yes you want breakfast?” And I corrected him and said “no I just wanted a drink to take to my room please” and he therefore walked over to where we had been queuing to get said drink. I don’t know this irritated my so much but it seemed obnoxiously rude and petty that he would stand with his back to us refusing to engage because he wanted us to walk to him. Ridiculous customer service

Excellent location near to u-bahn and to Ka De We store. Very clean an stylish. Comfortable rooms. Very helpful staff.

The only thing that I did not like was the strange enormous image of a woman that was a design feature in both the bedroom and bathroom. It loomed over the bed and covered the shower screen. Its a design disaster and a bit creepy.

Lovely room, well appointed, clean and comfortable. Located on a pretty square with some nice cafes nearby. Very close to underground rail system and good shopping. Tiergarten is walkable and the Berlin Zoo.

A bit far away from main tourist attractions, rail is near but expensive.

The location is perfect. It’s so easy to get wherever you want. The tram station is right outside. The beauty of the city view room is worth paying for. I recommend this place but there are a few little bits that still require improvement. I am due to come back to Berlin, so it’ll be either Mercure to

I paid for the room which cost £467 (did not include breakfast) however, I thought I’d check up on the room price the day of arrival and found a room for £464 which included breakfast. They were kind enough to give me 50% off but it still cost me an additional 69 euros for breakfast for 3 nights. The selection for breakfast isn’t as good as their counterparts such as Marriott. However, I would still recommend Mercure Wittenbergplatz if you’re staying in Berlin and want a bit more of a premium hotel compared to something like Ibis.

The location was excellent, nice, clean and comfortable room with balcony. The staff were very nice :) A bottle of mineral water as a compliment every day. A modern hotel :)

I didn't speak German, but even my friend who did, couldn't understand the philosophy of ordering room-service. We both tried to understand...we failed. Usually you call directly or the reception connects you. So we didn't order anything after all...The mini-bar could have been full ( I don't expect it for free, of course). One thing that it is not the hotel's fault is the noise from the coffeehouse next to the hotel, when they start cleaning the chairs and tables with some kind of air pressure equipment at 6-7 in the morning. It's annoying a lot. I hope they can do something about it, because you can forget about the sleep :)

location was fabulous. The room was a good size, plenty of room, toiletries were good quality, but the bed was a little uncomfortable. Even though the hotel was in a busy city square, the room was nice and quiet. Breakfast was lovely but extremely over priced, great cafe's and a supermarket within a 2 minute walk of hotel, so use these instead of hotel. reception staff were very friendly and professional. I would certainly stay here again when I visit Berlin

The bed, and the cost of the breakfast.

Staff was a delight, could not have been friendlier or more helpful. On site breakfast was fantastic. Staff in the breakfast room was pleasant and helpful. When it rained there were umbrellas we were able to borrow. Literally, yards away from Berlin's premier shopping in the Kadawe and the Bikini Mall

Giant picture of a woman's head floating over my bed and staring at me in the shower ( this was part of the decor). The hotel's decor has a fashion design theme, which I liked overall, but not that mural of a head.

We have stayed here several times over recent years. We struggle to find such a highly rated hotel at such good value and will continue to use this hotel when ever we are in Berlin. Staff are fantastic, the rooms are exceptionally good value for the level of comfort afforded. Level of cleanliness through the hotel is excellent and the cleaners who look after your toom are very thorough and attentive to detail. Not much of a breakfast person so cannot comment on that. Only slightly weird thing is the large art work of some random model above the bed in every room.

The hotel is quiet, clean and very comfortable. Our room was a good size, as was the bathroom; the furnishings were nice and clean, and the bed was great. The refrigerator was replenished with bottled water daily, which we appreciated. We thought the hotel was an excellent value. The front desk staff was very helpful, both for restaurant recommendations and how to navigate the public transportation options (Berlin is a huge city!) The hotel is situated on a plaza (Wittenberg Platz) with a number of restaurants and casual eateries next door, around the plaza and within a few blocks. (While there isn't a restaurant in the hotel, there is a bar available, which we didn't use). The huge, famous KaDeWe department store (with a great food hall) is a half block from the hotel. The area felt very safe. The hotel is located in western Berlin, but public transportation is excellent and access to the tram system (U-bahn) is right on the plaza (buy a transit pass).

Nothing. We'd definitely stay here again!

The room , was quiet,,, and the door especially heavy and soundproof . Bright room ,,, not sure like the picture decor about the bed, but art is a matter of taste . All in all fantastic experience . ) Good to get water provided each day

Just to add small knit picking,,,,, to open the coffee sachets provided was frustrating
