As a solo traveler, the room was perfect, small comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, and clean. I did peek to check the room for 2, and it looked fantastic. Price wise was the cheapest I found for a private room. The location was great, despite not being in the busy area of Berlin, everything was within meters, metro station, tour stop, restaurants, and bars. Staff was really nice, willing to help, and attentive. The airline lost my luggage, and so I didn't have any toiletries. The staff told me about the DM stores, and for 10 euros, I bought a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hair product, mineral water, and kombucha. The staff took care of my luggage when I finally received it on my last day. If this happens to you, get supplies at DM stores and clothes at Decathlon in Alexanderplatz.

Not that I didn't like, mostly like a helpful comment. The outside has been renovated, and it's easy to miss, it's a small door next to the restaurant. See the picture

Me and my family got one of the best and biggest and spacious room they have on second floor, The hotel is centrally located you can literally walk to so many places places of attraction or take a bus, 200m walk to the luxury shopping mall Kadewe, There are lots of restaurants around, the breakfast was enough and well presented, and they make you scrambled eggs and my son got hot chocolate. For two adults and two kids breakfast costs 27€.Very friendly staff.

You can hear noise from other rooms or if someone is walking on the corridors from inside the room.

The location was absolutely brilliant - literally in sight of the u-bahn which goes directly to Stadmitte (walking to Checkpoint Charlie and Brandeburger Tor) and also direct to Olympic stadium for concerts (we went to Pink). Large rooms which after travelling felt awesome for a family of four. Clean, good beds and a great sleep had. Lots of restaurants around and we travelled by taxi to and from hauptbahnhof for around 18euro.

Nothing - were really pleased with all ammenties and the ease of getting everywhere we needed to go. Would not hesitate to recommend.

The room was a really nice size. Bathroom was a good size, shower worked well and it had a window. Room had a desk, a wardrobe and a set of drawers so you had somewhere to put your things. WiFi. Was easy to request extra pillows from reception.

You could only get tea and coffee from the reception area which closed after a certain time (I think it was either 7 or 8pm) so we had to go to the 24h shop down the road to get tea in the evening. Would have been nice if a little kettle was included with the room. Overall a very nice stay though!

Short story: best place to stay if you are on a budget city break Very good placement for the hotel, restaurants nearby and kadewe mall, right near subway station (u bahn wittenbergplatz) where you can have connections everywhere in the city. Personal was very friendly. Coffee and tea was available anytime(while reception was open) and was for free. Breakfast (buffet) was 9€, with cheese, croissants, ham, juice etc but we didn't took it because we do not eat in the morning( it looked good tho) Place was clean, warm, cozy and quiet. I was expecting a smaller room for 2 persons, but was normal size

The location was ideal for festivals in the neighbourhood such as Folsom Berlin. The stile of the rooms is outdated, but in good conditions making it a very nice setting. The personal is very helpful and available for help.

I wanted to book a room there for next year, but I noticed that the option with free cancellation is no more available, which is a pity. So, I had to book another hotel that granted that possibility, even though it is in a worse position than Safestay Berlin.

The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel safe and welcome. The location is right next to the subway station with transport links all across Berlin- very useful for tourists like ourselves. Nearby restaurants and bars were also lovely and easy to access! The room was much larger than expected to our delight and the shower in the bathroom was incredibly (I can be fussy about heat/water pressure). There were painting works happening during our stay but this wasn’t something we noticed or were disturbed by. We didn’t take advantage of the breakfast but it looked lovely. I would definitely stay here again/recommend the hotel to others.

The rooms were very clean and the staff super friendly and helpful.

Access is a little tricky for those with mobility issues. Flught of stairs to reach reception and accomodation. Also stairs in the breakfast room. However the staff went out of their way to help us when they saw we had a wheelchair with us, moving us to a room on the first floor. They are also currently going through a major refurbishment so it can only get even better.

It just feels good after staying at the hotel. The hotel room was large, clean, everything as it should be. The maintenance of the room was great. Breakfast had everything you need. I would supplement with several green salad leaves, but it was compensated by the service - we got pork-free toppings and specially for us scrambled eggs. In short, we are satisfied and recommend. Transportation in this area was even easy.

Our room had an 18ft ceiling with elaborate mouldings from the grand old days of Berlin. This hotel has converted and renovated apartments from the glorious past. We stayed in a third floor walk-up, but there was a clever elevator available. The breakfast/lobby area is absolutely charming and the staff were delightful and accomodating. We were welcomed with a small bottle of wine and a pair of glasses which made our stay all the more delightful. The location was great. UBahn down the street, the bombed out Kaiser Church and Kurfurstendamm were a short walk away.

It's not their fault, but they had outside work being done on the building, so the front facade was covered by scaffolding. We were foretold of this, and it wasn't a problem. We never heard any work being done while we were in our room.
