The property in itself is great. Literally, a place to explore in itself. There’s the Ravenna bridge, great hiking locations, cuckoo clock, 3 gift shops and 2 restaurants. The breakfast was really good and the restaurants had delicious food.

The room was musty, oddly smelling. Even tough it got cold during the night, we visited during peak summer and there was no fan or AC provided. We woke up a couple of times sweating profusely. The furniture was dated, not great. Bed wasn’t comfortable, even broke in the middle of the night. One of the wooden base rods came off which we had to re-attach while half asleep. All in all a 2-3 star room in a 4 star property.

We stayed in the main hotel building and were overall pleasantly surprised by how spacious the family room was. We were 4 adults and our stay were very comfortable here and we had a balcony area with a view of the bridge and forest. It has the perfect location in the forest with walking routes and close to Titisee. The cold welcome water in the room was a nice touch and the sofa bed was already made and very comfortable for 2 adults The hotel and surrounding buildings used to be a very important midway trading station and has so much history. We loved the glass factory, souvenir shop and giant cookoo clock building. The breakfast buffet was amazing and we loved the restaurant's authentic Black Forest charm, including staff dressed in traditional clothing.

The concierge at reception was impatient and annoyed when we checked in. A small fridge in the room could have been nice but not a deal breaker

A very pleasant stay at Hofgut Sternen, we have initially booked the hotel for 3nights but decided to prolong our stay with 2 extra nights. The receptionists very kind and helpful, I can only remember Gabrijela (hope I re called the name correctly) professional and dedicated to her job, as a last minute decision and with no more family rooms left available, due to someone cancelling last minute, Gabrijela contacted me over the phone and made possible our stay for another night Bed - extra large which made it very comfortable, beddings - high quality fabrics, light weight duvets hence very warm (feathers & down fiiled) excellent breakfast, served between 7am—10am, plentiful varieties and choices, loved the ginger shots as we have daily visited BadeParadies during our stay , the only downside in our case was that the Hotel doesn’t offer any longer the Schwarzwald card , which would have given us a 20% discount for the entry thank you Hofgut Sternen, you made our stay in Germany a holiday to remember, would definitely highly recommend you Bud family

We loved the whole atmosphere/culture of the quintessential "Black Forest" location, including the hiking trails and also the adorable building with the Glockenspiel and the main hotel. And the included breakfasts had a wonderful variety and good quality food. Also, the dessert selection - including the Black Forest Cake was excellent.

Due to an unusually hot heat wave, air conditioning would have been welcomed. But the staff provided us with fans to use, which did help somewhat.

Great place. Will visit this hotel in the future for sure. This is the place where you want to return more and more. Pleasant staff ready to help immediately with any request. Tasty breakfasts. This place should be shown to the children. The hotel is situated in the heart of the Black Forest. There are several paths in the forest that will be super interesting for the children. We’ve received a great relax!

The property is located where the Ravennaschlucht Xmas market takes place. The location is quiet, picturesque, and relaxing. The staff was excellent with the exception of one waitress at the restaurant at the main building.

Again, we loved everything about the property except the one waitress at the main building. The dish I ordered was extremely salty, as a person who has a health condition where I have to watch how much salt I eat, I couldn’t eat it and informed the waitress. I wasn’t offered a different dish or my money returned. I paid the bill without complaint but it was a disappointing experience. The rest of the staff in the restaurant appeared to be very joyful and helpful when we spoke to them.

Hofgut Sternen is in an idyllic location, with the Ravenna Gorge Viaduct behind the hotel, making for a beautiful view. We stayed in the historic building. Parking was easy and free. We enjoyed being very close to the well-known Christmas market that is held under the viaduct. The rooms were simple, a bit older in the historic building. They were comfortable, with a good sized bathroom and plenty of space. They even provided a package of dog treats for our pup upon arrival. It was very kind and well thought out. The breakfast and food options were tasty. Also the glassblower shop was really stunning.

We did have to wait almost 1 hour (4pm) after check-in (3pm) time for our room to be ready. We had been traveling, so we were anxious to get into our room.

Location in the black forest was excellent. Hiking trails on site. Room was very large. The shops on site were fun to look through. Breakfast was over the top. They had everything. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, but it was $$$.

Some of the facilities were closed-- like the beer garden. My stay was off season, its not clear what things are open and what is not. The site is on a collection of shops and other buildings. its a little commercial, 4 bus loads of Viking river cruise people arrived the morning I left.

Lovely place, good location and good ambient. The glass shop also offers to blow glass yourself, definitely a must-do. Rooms are clean and alle necessary comfort is available. Breakfast is vey elaborated and tasty.

Very hard beds. Bathroom has everything that is needed but is very small (e.g. if you open the door you should pay attention not to hit the toilet). Soap should be refilled faster.

It was a wonderful dream stay at the heart of the Blackforest for the Ravennaschlucht Christmas market. The view from the room was amazing,to the mountain,the Ravennaschlucht iluminated at night and the Christmas market! The room was on the top floor(lift access) and it was nice,cosy,quiet(well isolated), and warm,with coffee/tea facilities. Confortable bed,nice shower and a tablet with all the hotel and tourist information. Nice helpful staff. Perfect location just in front of the Christmas market! (But yet,very quiet room) Dinner at the Hotel restaurant was very good,local products. Privet outside parking places behind the hotel complex. Some nice shops with local products and souvenirs and a couple of restaurants. It was a wonderful experience,already book for next year!

The overall experience was very good,but the only little issue was with the breakfast. The hotel information in their room tablet was breakfast from 7:00 to 10:30 daily. At 10:10 at the breakfast building and they said it was until 10:00,so couldn’t enjoy the buffet breakfast which was quite disappointed… But a lady from staff was very nice and friendly and she offered me a coffee and some bread with butter and jam,a boiled egg and a yoghurt,so I had something to eat. Other hotel guest had the same issue too. It would be nice to have a longer breakfast time on Weekends and to keep up to date the information.
