This hotel has great potential! The building itself is stunning, and it's located in a lovely area with a beautiful park just nearby. The room I stayed in was clean, but quite outdated, with the only recent renovation being in the bathroom. It was a bit stuffy in the room, which made it less comfortable. Breakfast was good, although there was no water offered, and the coffee was only filter coffee. On the plus side, the self-check-in process was incredibly convenient. Overall, given the price, it was a fair experience, but a few updates could make it even better.

Beautiful historic building that is well maintained and equipped. We had some issues with our bathroom extractor fan, but the host was willing to give us another room which was bigger and better.

Was not able to communicate in English and would have been stuck without my basic German. There was only one fan in the whole building. Aircon is a must for hot days, especially for the upper rooms. There is no one to receive you after 15h00 in the afternoon, whilst the check-in time showed 15h00. There was also no basic coffee and tea utilities.

The large park and neighborhood were lovely for walking. The bathroom has been remodeled and is very nice. The beds are comfortable, with soft mattresses. Sitting area by the large windows. Staff was friendly and provided separate sheets to use along with European duvet covers. We didn't eat breakfast there. We used the water kettle in the room for coffee and tea.

In the description, only the name of the bus stop was given. We had to ask at the DB office for the tram line (#11) and then it took us a while to find the tram stop at the Dresden Hbf station (there are three tram stops and it's the north one, "Hauptbahnhof Nord Dresden"). Because of construction on the tram line, we had to change to the bus (#EV11), which is on the opposite side of the street, away from the Dresden Neustadt train station and other bus lanes. From Neustadt to Plattleite bus stop took about 25 minutes. The refrigerator did not work. There was no mention of construction work behind the hotel until after we had booked. It was only during the day and was not a problem but would have been nice to know ahead of booking.

Excellent location on the route of tram 11 (Plattleite stop), interesting building architecture, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast with a wide selection of dishes, very kind hotel staff, essential equipment (kettle, cups, glasses, and wine glasses). Ability to check in much later than stated in the hotel description (you get a code for the safe with a key).

No cutlery in the room (not even a small spoon). There was so much food for breakfast that I had concerns about it being wasted. According to House rules, check-in is possible until 8 pm so I had to choose to get to Dresden earlier than I wanted. Only after making the reservation did I find out that I was given a code for the safe with a key, so I could have arrived in Dresden much later.

I was on a business trip. The hotel was in the green zone, a pretty good location. Nearby is a small supermarket, good fast food, and a few restaurants. The Wi-Fi had a stable and relatively fast connection. The stuff is super.

At the moment, there is some construction work near the hotel, also there is poor ventilation to air out in the evenings, I had to open all the windows.

Quality furniture. The hotel is clean and looks great, even picturesque.

The bedding wasn’t the best. The mattress was a bit on the soft side. The pillows were loose and wouldn’t stay in shape. Also, there wasn’t enough lighting in the room. Don’t know whether this was done on purpose but it’s better to have enough lighting and leave that to the discretion of the guests.

Hotel with great personality and an old times atmosphere. Located in a quiet green area. Our room was wonderful! Very huge with big windows and a little balcony from where you can enjoy the architecture of a magnificent villa on the other side of the street. Bathroom completely renowed very comfortable. Breakfast very, very good with a great choice of food. One of the best (maybe the best!) hotel I have ever stayed.

The breakfast was very good. The location was easy to reach by car and with quick and easy public transport to the city centre.

Some of the furniture wasn't exactly new. Everything worked well enough though.

Quiet location next to the forest and also walking distance to public transport. We stayed 4 nights had a large room (1) and felt at home. Good value for money

Only a suggestion: the bedside lamps and the floor lamp deliver only little light because of their dark lamp shades. Reading is impossible. For what else do I need these lamps. Bright lamp shades would solve the problem. Otherwise all good.

Location outside the city is easily reached by tram and bus - the stop is 100m away. We enjoyed being away from the city centre because the journey in gave us views of the city. Alternatively, a short walk to the funicular railway gives an added dimension to the travel into the city. Big rooms in the hotel in a quiet location.
