Wonderful breakfast with lovely staff. Ditto the cleaners. The room was immaculate.

Oddly, it was the reception desk that proved less welcoming - in one case, positively hostile and unpleasant, to the point where I tended to avoid reception if I had a question about a key card (on two occasions, it didn't work), or meeting friends.(The restaurant/bar staff were wonderful.) Maybe the Stadt Hotel reception is under pressure to an extent not visible to guests, but I did feel one or two receptionists needed a refresher course in hospitality!

I enjoyed my short (one night only) stay at the hotel very much. The staff was so helpful and the location perfect for jumping on the public transportation and heading into the more historic part of town. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but there was a delightful little bakery just outside it, and easy access to a few stores for necessities. I would definitely return.

The breakfast was very tasty with an extensive choice of options. Beds very comfortable and the rooms were very quiet. The availability of an underground garage was much appreciated. The restaurant was not sampled, unfortunately. The hotel was exceptionally clean.

The total cost (for 2 rooms) was a little high.

Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. We had a family room with a sofa bed for the kids. The room was very big and bathroom also nice and big.

I missed the option to have the sofa bed changed to 2 single beds. There were room enough for that. But I understand the difficulty for the logistics of it.

Comfortable hotel. Big room, quiet and clean. There was no carpet and everything looked tidy. Free water in the room.. Clean bathroom and good toiletries. Well located. Overall a good place to stay for a short visit in Freiburg.

We didn't have breakfast but 20 per person sounded a bit too expensive. Otherwise all good

The hotel is placed very comfortable for those, who come for medical examination, because University Klinikum is within 5 minutes walk. Moreover, the city center and railway station is in 7 minutes by tram. Tram stop is in 1 minute on foot. Breakfast during COVID-19 was not as good as it was 2 years ago and pretty pricy. At the same time, there are two supermarkets (Rewe and Lidl) and coffee shop Armbuster nearby, where you always may find a good food. There is also a great park Seepark in 7 minutes walk from hotel.

Breakfasts could be better. Bed sheets were not always clean.

I would have liked the fitness room to be open 24 hours a day. The hotel is also slightly on the expensive side, but perhaps this is to be expected.

Excellent hotel room. The air-conditioned did not blow on the bed which is a problem in many European hotels. Small workout room but it's better than nothing. Excellent restaurant with vegan options and close to other restaurants. Very flexible nice staff.

The hotel was great. For some, the location might be too far from downtown but it was not a problem for me.

Good location if you are planning to visit Freiburg University Klinika, it is just opposit the Klinika. City center is 10 min by tram. The Breakfast buffet was good, the choice is not really big though. Room was comfy, clean and silent which we really needed.

very friendly and accommodating staff. excellent breakfast, great selection of fruit/muesli/juices. Very effective measures to help prevent spread of COVID-19 (staff wearing masks, certain sections of breakfast were not self-serve). Different varieties of bread. Large cappuccino (much appreciated). breakfast starts at 6.30 am, which we appreciated. Room was spacious, cosy, clean, and quiet (were able to sleep with open window) close to fair area, and just a few tram stops from downtown (Historical city center, main station)

I had no reason to complain.
