The classic decor & set up of the room was exceptional. Very clean and well maintained. It is a beautiful property.

The city restaurants were full due to holiday & Christmas Market visitors. We needed a recommendation & help on a place to eat. The staff simply said: 'Everything is full' without really making any effort to contact places where they have connections OR looking a bit outside the city center which was NOT completely booked. We talked later to people who ate at a restaurant nearby (outside the pedestrian zone) that was half empty. As it turned out, we ate a bratwurst at a stand in the city center because we had no indoor place to sit down and enjoy a meal. I would expect staff at a 5-star hotel to me more helpful and resourceful. One more thing - the down pillows are very luxurious but completely too thin and useless for sleeping. Please buy some thicker pillows.

Passing the years the services are slowly loosing some attention that in a 5 stars Luxury hotel shall never happen: one example the room service for breakfast took already used and opened cans of marmelade... is stupid but should never happen. The shower head was full of calc...small things that can be easily solved

Bar allowed people to smoke within! Even though they had a smoking section separate, the whole bar we full of smoke, like something out of the 1980’s. The bar itself was beautifully designed. In the room no tea/coffee or water facilities provided which I’m surprised about for 5star hotel. TV in room was something out of the 1990’s

Excellent retaurant, great wine selection and lovely food. The room was small, but the bed and airco were a delight in the heatwave we witnessed. We did not get a chance to try the pool area, but it looked nice.

The bar is a bit too much 80ies, and the staff present when we were there was a bit too junior to know the difference between the coctail americano (which we expected) and the hot beverage (which we got).

Everybody at the hotel was very nice and friendly, it made my stay really enjoyable. The location is very good too, within walking distance of the train station and the center of the city. It is also great that they have single rooms.

Nothing much. It was a bit warm in the room to my taste and I could hear some noise from the room next to mine, but on the whole it was rather quiet, I slept very well.

Our suite was very spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. Nice quality bathroom products. Good breakfast buffet, although pricey. Good location, with nearby parking (the hotel itself also has a parking lot).

There's no way to control the bathroom heating, as far as we could figure it out. The furniture and decoration starts to show their age.

The room is very big, the bed is comfortable, large bathroom, quiet- you hear nothing from outside. There is a pool, which you almost can'd find in freiburg

The pillows are too soft. You can't feel them. The pool should be 28 degrees but was colder. The massage and spa were closed, although it was supposed to be open

A bit classic/ old school but very charming and comfortable rooms. The hotel staff, especially at reception was very helpful and lovely. The location right in the city center is very convenient and close to the main sites. The spa makes the overall stay even more luxurious.

Not much to complain about. Maybe the opening hours of the spa should remain from early morning to evening so that guests can enjoy it a bit more on the day of check out.

The pillows in our bedrooms were uncomfortable. There was no tea kettle. The curtains in our room were not thick enough and thus let the early morning light through easily. A bit overpriced for the Chistmas season.

Terrific hotel—caring and efficient staff, beautiful common rooms, very comfortable and HUGE room and GREAT bathroom. Wonderful lunch and late afternoon coffee and cake on the outside terrace restaurant. There’s also a pool and spa. Breakfasts generous and elegant.

Firmer bed pillows? Otherwise, no complaints!
