I have to say I had no expectations of this hotel but it is actually super nice. Firstly, the staff was friendly. Secondly, the location is impeccable: one can simply reach the hotel in ONE MINUTE once he gets out of the train station. It's very easy to get to the city center. Many options of cafes and restaurants and supermarkets. There is a fridge in the room, which is a bonus in summer. Overall I enjoyed very much of my stay there. If I ever come back again I'd definitely stay here again.

Nothing I could think of. One can hear the announcement from the train station through the window if you leave it open. But once you close it, one can barely hear it. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to take it into consideration.

Location, location, location! Not just that it is next-door to the train station, but we are less than a 15-minute walk from our favorite restaurants. We love running next door to get snacks and groceries and chilled wine for our room. There are always trains coming and going, which is a thrilling view for train-starved Americans. We stayed five days and made two quick day trips on the train to Switzerland. The hotel has a green program that allows us to skip a room clean for a day in exchange for a 5 Euro voucher for something fun from the drinks and snacks pantry in the lobby. We love the little fridge in the small but efficient room, too. This is our fifth stay here. and we'll be back!

Quite well centrally at Freiburg main station located. Good view out of window. With closed room window+door the room atmosphere was quite silent, good to relax. 24 hours reception with some nice staff, too. For 1 person , me, I felt quite nice size of the room.

In some parts of the room a modernization, optimization of the interior and functionality of the room can do good to become some more attractive.

Great location, close to Old Town. Convenient parking at the Bahnhof parking garage right next door to the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and quiet, and we really appreciated having a refrigerator. I would definitely recommend the Intercity Hotel Frieburg.

Although I requested a room with two beds, we initially were put in a room with one queen bed -- staff was very responsive and moved us to a different room right away. Not a huge problem at all.

Ideal for those using the many options of exploring the Black Forest by train - and five mins on foot from the historic city centre and other public transport. We"d stay there again.

Accessing wi-fi involved some rigmarole of joining a loyalty club first. Other hotel chains just give you the password!

It was convenient, clean, and pleasant to stay in. I thought the breakfast was excellent and the hotel was in an excellent location. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and had a refrigerator, something helpful in summer.

The bathroom was a little small. Otherwise everything was excellent and very much appreciated. Great place to stay. I would stay there again in the future. I hope to stay there again, anyway and will look for other hotels in this chain.

Location is just by the train station, but the rooms are not loud neither I felt dangerous arriving late at night. You walk a bit and are at the touristic center or can take the public transportation. Rooms are spacious, AC is efficient and bathroom is good.

The parking discount could be a bit bigger considering it is a renowned hotel chain (the price went only from 23 to 18 only). I did not try.to breakfast, so I cannot evaluate.

The hotel is located right beside Freiburg (Breisgau) Hbf. The staff are friendly and helpful, suitable to use as a home-base to travel around to cities like Basel and Zurich if you don't intend to stay over in Switzerland. Basel Airport will take you about ~1hr 30mins with an ICE train and bus transfer.

superb location to train and tram and in walking distance to old town. Helpful and friendly staff. We also had nice view over the area, we stayed at opposite side of train station in high floor and were not aware of noise.

The rooms were on the smaller side but large enough for us even though we had large suitcases. Á kettle would have been a nice bonus.

The staff are excellent. The hotel is perfect for making day trips on the train. The internet is super reliable.

The bed is a little hard but everything else is great!
