The advertising pictures are excellent and was prepared to be disappointed but thankfully I wasn’t, what a cracking find. A super hotel tucked away down a quiet side street. The interior is wonderful with plush decor, ceilings and furniture, a very grand but cozy feeling. The staff are superb being friendly, helpful and engaging. We will certainly return on our next visit to Hamburg. The only slightly negative observation is that although in a quiet side street, the Main Street 250 metres away is not the most select area of Hamburg and might not suit everyone but for us we enjoyed the our stay immensely. The Hotel is wonderful, some might not appreciate the location close to a very busy and energetic Main Street with lots of Middle Eastern kebab eateries. We found them delicious.

Nice and comfortable mid standard hotel very close to the train and bus station, making it ideal for a stopover when in transit / in Hamburg for just one night. Even though the area around the bus / train station is noisy and not safe, this street was quiet and felt like a good hideout from the surrounding area.

The general standard is not particularily modern but rather worn, in the morning there were quite some noice from the street with traffic.

The location is really convenient, being so close to the train station and I really like the characteristic / edgy neighbourhood. The room was very clean and well attended during my stay and the hotel in general is very well maintained. Breakfast was also good, as was the lovely-decorated cosy breakfast room. Very friendly staff!

Can't think of what can be better honestly, this is why I stay in this hotel every time I visit Hamburg, which is 3 times now. The mini fridge in room 20 doesn't get cold, but luckily, I just had a bottle of orange juice in it, so nothing perishable.

This hotel has a lovely, caring, old fashioned atmosphere. Its rooms are comfortable and high-ceilinged. There is a pleasant lounge in which free tea and coffee are always available. Breakfast is served in a nice airy room and the choice of tasty breakfast foods is excellent.

There is no lift so the hotel would be unsuitable for someone who has difficulty with stairs. Whilst it is fairly near to the station, I guess that the area in which it is situated has seen better days.

Nice old villa but rooms really need a re-furnishing (and even more a refresh of the bathroom). Spacious room but very small bathroom.

It is located in the middle of nowhere (but it is up to your needs). Pricey breakfast with small selection and not enough tables for guests (be prepared to beg people to join their table). No elevator (might be issue for some guests). No king-size bet (just two bets put together with a gap in-between). Late check-in might be an issue (only security guards)

- Centrally located. Within walking distance from the Central Station underground, bus and Strassenbahn hub, in order to discover all Hamburg. Lange Reihe, with traditional German restaurants, terraces, and some fine dining options, is also within walking distance. For a morning run, the hotel is also very close to the Alster (the city lake). - It seems that the hotel has recently been renovated, with attention paid to the decoration, including fresh-cut flowers in the common areas. - Rooms are super clean and this is the ONLY hotel I visited since the beginning of the pandemic where rooms are cleaned EVERY DAY. In this hotel, there is no covid pretext to save costs by no cleaning rooms every day, and cleaning staff wear FFP2 masks. - The size of the room was absolutely fine and the room was SO quiet! - The lady receptionist was super nice and the breakfast staff are also very friendly. - Breakfast is served from 6.30am to 10.30am, which makes the hotel a good option for a busy early working day or a more relaxed holiday. - The WiFi is excellent.

Nothing. The hotel made it clear from the beginning that there is no lift (elevator), so do not expect to find one.

St Georg is alternative location in Hamburg. Great places to eat medeterian, fusion, arabic etc food. Nice cozy italian Il Buco. Central train station in less than 10 min walking distance.

Parking in the city ... Best is to drop your car in one of the large parking garages. We used the one underneath the Central Library, just behind the main railway station. Was ok, safe however pricy.

The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the central railway station and about 15 minutes walk from the city center. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and had a small kitchen with a stove and a dishwasher. Also there was an electric teapot and assortment of teabags and coffee. Breakfast was very good - omelette, boild eggs, fresh bread, ham, cheese, fruits, vegetables, etc

Very helpfull and friendly employees. Everyone were really working fast and are so nice! Fantastic classic and cosey rooms. Great beds, I slept so well. Breakfast I had in Best western hotel around the corner. Because of CORONA. Very good breakfast. And the pulverteig street is quiet. Close to the train station, 10 minutes walk. And lots of restaurants and great bars close by. Also a lot of alcoholist, homeless and prostitutes close to the square. Which gives the trendy and popular George area a rough realistic appearance. I loved it all.

I stayed in 4 different rooms in 5 days. Due to circumstances. On day 1 the electricity falled out in my room. They provided me with a BEAUTIFUL room on the backside. But Wifi connection is mostly bad. Especially in the front side rooms.

Handsomely newly refurbished. Nice lounge area with free coffee. Lovely room. Very quiet. With kettle and teas coffees in room. The room we had also had a separate small adjoining bedroom which was useful if one of you wants to read later or put kids in.

Had to close the window early in the morning as Someone was smoking below the window, but I don’t think this was even anyone from the hotel so it’s not much they could do about this.
