The double bed room was large, comes with a comfortable bed and a small but well equipped pantry (coffee machine, water boiler, induction cooker, cutleries but no mini fridge). The housekeeping staff did a good daily job. Check in and out was a breeze for me. I also like the hotel location which is a leisurely 8-10 minute walk from Dammtor Train Station, through Hamburg University grounds.

My room on level 3 faces the main road and can be a bit noisy when vehicles drove past. There isn't an air conditioner or fan, which is actually rather fine because the weather is quite chilly now (April).

I found hotel Vorbach very comfortable. Great location, attentive staff, very, very clean room and bathroom, free WiFi. I recommend everyone to choose this hotel for their stay, especially if their business trip is connected to the University of Hamburg.

From the 4th floor where I stayed landscape views were not well visible due to upper located window and it was a little stuffy.

Breakfast excellent. The woman in charge refilled every plate/basket before it was empty. Very attentive Lady. Had to cool some fish-salads from saturrday to Tuesday, which they storred in the Hotelfridge without any costs and problems.

Hotel has 2 buildings, seperated by another one, not from them. Key systems are a bit old, but it worked. Basicly not essential problems.

An independent hotel in an excellent location. In a very charming way the rooms and facilities are slightly old fashioned. The breakfast, which cannot be booked via Booking.com (but directly with the hotel) is excellent and served in a charming breakfast room.

If you book a garage space and lock valuables in the room safe you have 3 seperate keys in your pocket.

The hotel was simply awesome. Actually, we wanted to stay one more night because of the amazing staff. The Gentleman at the reception was the joy of the life. I cannot also describe the beauty of the room, too. The architecture and the coziness are just what we were searching for. If you want to come to Hamburg, please give a try to this place because it’s definitely a (top) value for money option.

Charming and quiet neighbourhood, close to the conference centre and downtown. Comfortable and very clean rooms, nice fresh bathroom.

Rooms a bit outdated, could use some freshing of paint etc. Old doors without noise insulation.

The location was very good, within walking distance from Dammtor station and in a very nice neighbourhood. The staff were friendly, and the room was good and clean. The breakfast was also nice.

Everything was good, only it would have been nice to have one double bed rather than two separate ones, but this was clearly indicated on booking.com beforehand.

Check in could have been improved as they didn’t see our booking and made to feel that it wasn’t booked. It was …..but they missed it when giving their schedule to quick a glance.

Very nice location in the middle of the university campus. Quiet suburb Room was dark and quiet in the evening - just what you need to get a good night's rest Late check-out and early check-in

Good old fashioned hotel, with excellent breakfast. Perhaps normal for Europeans but unusual for Americans. It had a flare of old world travel, somewhat of a throwback in time.

Accessibility - many stairs to climb. The room safe deposit box was too small for a computer.
