Very comfy and cozy rooms with great beds! Friendly staff as well. Good location if you want to be downtown. Parking in a public underground park available (13€/night). Decent selection at breakfast (rolls, bread, cheeses, cold cuts, pastries and yoghurt)

Different room charge policy depending on if you occupy the room alone or with two guests. Even though there’s no extra services or changes to the room (breakfast costs extra) the room is suddenly 20€ more. Also for the breakfast: at 15€pP I was missing a hot food offering.

Center of city. A lot of funs & beautiful as well historical places around. Breakfast is not rich but sufficient for beginning of the day. On square in front of hotel continuously fiestas & other thematical celebrating's.

Parking is absent. But You can for 20 Euro per 24 hrs. take undergrounds parking near the hotel. Otherwise You have to keep car at street. It is cheaper but every 50 minutes You have to pay attention to Your phone for parking prolongation.

Location is great, staff very friendly, air conditioner worked perfectly, room is stylish, fair price.

Water pressure of the shower was too low, small hair on the sheet, bed is too soft, breakfast has no warm dish like scrambled eggs or sausages, only boiled eggs, so for basic cheese salami bread and coffee yogurt etc 16€ per person (also for > 7 years old kid) was a bit too much.

The Rooms were excellent nice & clean had a great view over the Christmas Market, the location for us was ideal as we used the local transport to get us to other towns nearby & we knew the car was safe in the car park near the hotel. Breakfast was amazing an excellent choice especially as it was a continental breakfast, we all enjoyed it our breakfast at Motel one in Essen

Close proximity to the Christmas Market, just a few steps outside the front door is the market! Very clean room, felt modern and well kept.

Quite expensive breakfast but kids eat free and it was a nice selection of things to eat.

The location was ideal. It is on the main square and only a short walk from the large mall at Limbeckerplatz, the Main train station, and just around the corner to Hirschlandplatz subway. Despite this, I felt like my room on the 7th floor was very quiet and had a nice urban view toward the station. Breakfast was decent, standard German fare. Breads, spreads, cheese, salami, cereal, and hardboiled eggs. I would have liked a few more fruit options than just the big bowl of mixed fruit, but it was fine. The entire lobby even into the bar area was available to sit, so you didn't have to be too close to anyone else. Beds were a bit stiff for my case, but not super hard. Two sizes of pillows were nice. Bathroom was nicely functional even at the small size. There was a desk that worked well for evening laptop work. Really nice shelves to the ceiling next to the bed.

At checkin, it was assumed that i had booked breakfast as well. Between masks and plexiglass, I didn't fully understand and just accepted. I probably would have booked the breakfast anyway and was happy to have it, but I would have liked to have been asked more directly. The desk was fine, but as I got into the room, it was on the other side of the room from the plug. I had to move things around to make it work. Also, the desk came with a stool, not a chair. The actual chair with a back is more for relaxing than working. Not a big deal, as there were plenty of space in the lobby with better seats if you needed it. I get that it is a budget place, but I do miss having a small mini fridge in the room to keep food for lunch. Not a huge loss though.

Very well decorated, with lots of sitting areas in the lobby/bar area. Well located for the Christmas market.

No individual way to monitor the heat / cold in the room, other to open the window at night..

Good Location in central Essen. Nice Lounge area with bar and seating. Affordable option for a business trip.

The rooms are basic with few amenities. But OK for the money.

The room door is very very heavy, it is like a citadel door The reception employees were not welcoming, i didn't like their attitude as i felt uncomfortable There are no closet in the room, was very strange

The bar was great, rooms were clean and nice, the location was awesome!

The breakfast would need some bacon and eggs, maybe some pancakes too!
