Das Posch Hotel

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. The rooms had an upgrade not too long agoo and are WAY better than the current booking.com pictures suggest. We booked the family room which turned out to be the suite just outside the hotel (on the same grounds, just not connected) which was totally awesome! Big and freshly renovated/built. Exceptional. Would totally come back here again and also recommend to others! The location is also great and Oberammergau is a very nice little town with loads of character and enough to do.

The mattresses weren’t great (too soft). But this is just nitpicking.

this was a beautiful facility at the very foot of a mountain. the views were lovely. The facility and staff were great! the room was clean and attractive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and hospitable. This is a great hotel.

the only difficulty we had was since we were riding by train and carrying our luggage, the location wasn’t easy. It is great if you are in a car! the hotel is tucked back a little outside the main town and walking back to it from the bus stop had a section of gravel road that was difficult to navigate with rolling luggage. that little bit of inconvenience was certainly balanced by a beautiful location facility, and staff.

The situation and staff were perfect. The small pooll was great fun for us all to cool off at the end of a hot busy day. .

On our room description when booking it said there was a kitchen in the family suite. But there was no kitchen or cooking/dining facilities. But we managed okay.

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived, the check-in went very quickly. The hotel is located is located in a quiet residential area about a 10-minute pleasant walk from the center of town. The room was very spacious, comfortable and even had a little balcony with a nice view which I wish we would have had the time to use, but we arrived after dark and left early the following morning on our bike trip. The beds were comfortable, but unfortunately we did not find the pillows comfortable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, there was something for everyone and the dining area has a nice atmosphere which my friends and I enjoyed. The substantial breakfast was a perfect way to start our day of cycling. This was my first visit to Oberammergau but not the last. I would not hesitate to stay at Das Posch Hotel again and would recommend this property.

The hotel is very nice and clean. Very comfortable beds. Friendly staff.

Check out before 10am was a bit too early for us, poor breakfast. Also, the toilet paper in the room was towards the end and we had to ask for more toilet paper…

The homey atmosphere and the wonderful decor that felt like Bavaria! Also the owner was very attentive to his guests and had done a superb job of renovating the chalet type hotel so it was comfortable and currant. The food was exceptional!!

The yard and the garden was insanely great for the price. Showers are very spacious. Nice and modern room.

Location of property was for our purpose (skiing) pretty far away (22min car ride to Garmisch Pathenkirchen- Hausberg)

Very good hotel, located a few blocks away from the town center.

It's not the hotel, but the town had very limited street lighting and it was difficult to walk around during the evening.

Wonderful stay, lovely breakfast. A little bit of a walk from main town but not too far. Quiet area with lovely views of mountain with cross.

Nice hotel, clean, nice surroundings, close to Garmisch, great breakfast, nice village.

Everything was fine !
