Nice hotel, located not far from the main touristic spots like mountains around Garmisch-Partenkirchen, monastery in Ettal, old town of Oberammergau, etc. which all are easily reachable by public transport. The Alpine nature around the hotel is incredible, pure serenity of a mountain village. The hotel itself is pretty modern and very clean, the furniture is quite comfortable. A road passes nearby but despite of that the rooms are very quiet. The temperature in the room wasn't too high even in very hot days though my room was not equipped with an air conditioner. The staff is very friendly and helpful but not annoying. The breakfast is tasty and sufficient for the whole day activities.

There are not enough sockets in the room and they are located in quite inconvenient places, would be nice to have at least one socket near the bed. The lamps are very dim, it was quite complicated e.g. to read in the evening. The mounting for the shower head was broken so I had to keep it in my hand during taking a shower. All in all, these are not critical issues but would be nice to fix them. And, last but not least, it was a bit overpriced from my point of view (I admit this to be my fault because I haven't booked it in advance, just a couple of days before my trip).

Great value for money. Breakfast buffet is sufficient enough but only boiled eggs in the "hot food section", no bacon, scrambled eggs etc.

I don't know what has happened to Oberau but all of a sudden most places are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so the only option will be the restaurant next to the hotel or a kebab shop. Fairly late checkin (which is clearly described in the booking) but can be a bit late if you want to freshen up after a sweaty hiking tour

Breakfast was great

The staff was so nice and friendly. Nothing was wearing with the hotel, I just didn’t love the location, right beside the gas station and highway.

The accommodation was for our purposes (MTB TransAlp) perfect. Also a lunch package was prepare for us because we started before 8am and breakfast was available from 8am to … Thanx once more for the support and flexibility.

Lady, probably the owner, was very helpful, even though not speaking english. Coffee, tea, juice and milk was served for breakfast, however we missed some water as option. I could imagine more food as omelette or sausages to choose from, but overall it was fine. Nice and well located, awesome and friendly people.

Some noisy fan in bathroom was going on almost all the night (as people were showering), and in the morning a bit of traffic was going around. Farm vehicles and from construction site nearby. But nothing too crazy.

- Staff extremely friendly and helpful even with language barrier. - Typical German breakfast and friendly staff. - Simple room but adequate for purpose of exploring during day.

- Town was mostly closed for restaurants very early or not at all (potentially a COVID issue) and taxi situation was difficult to come from Garmisch but staff called for us and helped best they could. - Parking was difficult to find at certain points of day - predominantly evening. - Only German spoken but staff helpful to best ability

Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices were fresh and varied.

The location, quiet neighborhood with supermarkets nearby, as well as the surrounding view. The breakfast was ok.

The room was relatively small for three people.

Beds were very comfortable and was very clean. Admission was very friendly and polite. Photos were the same as real life, so there was no surprise.

Good breakfast. Friendly staff (they called us and waited for us to arrive when our flight delays caused us to arrive long after midnight.)
