The location was perfect for all the activities we wanted to do in the area, and was walkable to some lovely restaurants and shops too. The room was spacious and comfortable, and whilst a little too warm for our comfort initially, a word with our hostess enabled us to get it turned down. Our hostess was friendly and informative and always around without being intrusive. The breakfasts were very generous - lots of delicious breads, cheeses, ham, eggs, cereal, yoghurt and you were encouraged to make up a bread roll to take with you for lunch which we really appreciated. It was excellent value for money and we would definitely stay there again.

Only the room temperature but that was soon sorted out. The duvets were very thick and fluffy which were lovely, but a sheet underneath would have helped our temperature regulation.

We had a fantastic stay at Gästehaus Neu. The apartment was spotlessly clean and decorated in a lovely modern style with very comfortable beds and a lovely modern bathroom with large shower and kitchen. with everything you need. We stayed in the Laber room which was a great size with two balconies and a separate kitchen room. The kitchen was fully equipped and perfect for making breakfast every morning and dinner one evening. There is free parking provided on street and the onsite sauna was also a great added extra after a long walk (for a small extra fee). The hosts were very friendly and helpful with advice on the local area and as we stayed over Easter weekend, the Easter bunny even left us some chocolate outside our door which was very kind! The guesthouse is only a 5 minute walk into the main town centre. Oberammagau was the perfect location for our alpine stay, a very lovely traditional town small enough that you felt away from it all but still with enough bars and restaurants to enjoy and supermarkets, petrol station, chemist etc to meet your needs. It also has a lot of trails, walks and lifts available from the village itself to get into the mountains but is well connected by road and rail to get other locations such as nearby Garmisch and Zugspitze Mountain and is only an hour and half from Munich. If you’re considering staying here don’t hesitate! We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Thank you!

Nothing - it was perfect

Everything was awesome, a really nice accomodation with very good breakfests, I can only recommend this accomodation. The owners were very kind and hospitable. The perfect place, near the city center and nice view around.

The room was very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The hostess was very helpful and friendly. In addition we really liked the breakfast- very diverse and delicious. The town itself is small and sweet, a lot of nature. Would recommend highly on a stay here.

The guesthouse is the perfect location to explore Oberammergau and the surroundings, it's close to the center and the bus station. Franziska is a fantastic host, very welcoming, she gave us valuable information about the nearby touristic places and she even provided us free bus tickets. Breakfast was very good, the room was quiet, warm and spotless clean. Bathroom is new and the floor is heated. Thank you very much for hosting us!

The Apartment was big enough for us. Owner is friendly and thoughtful. She even provided crib without us asking for it. We initially booked without breakfast but then decided to have breakfast there one morning(of course we requested it one day prior )since the weather outside wasn't that stable and with kid it's easier to have breakfast at the stay. We loved the breakfast. It was simple yet great and fresh. I recommend this place if you are planning to visit touristy places like Garmisch but want to have a peaceful stay with scenic nature around.

We stayed at Gasthaus Neu for our visit to the Passion Play. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a lovely view from the balcony and a kitchen to make simple meals. The owners were warm and welcoming and provided a tasty breakfast. The Gasthof Neu is a two minute walk to the Passion theatre which was perfect as we were able to come back, eat and rest during the interval. We would love to stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Oberammergau.

When we started our holiday, we decided to award a fictitious award for the best accommodation and our stay here won 🏆 🥇 🏅 by a large margin. Greate place, people and location. These lovely people love what they do and it shows.

Franziska and Robert are very friendly and helpful hosts. We had some good conversations with them and found them unassuming and interesting. We felt at home...

A bit difficult for us to find the place as the people we approached seemed not to know of it although it is in a very good location for the Passion Play (and because of the event it was fully booked through the Season).

The rooms are big, comfortable and very clean, the owners are lovely and very hospitality. Ther is all you need to cook or eat. Breakfast are great.

The pillow are to soft for us.
