I switched to this hotel at the last moment because I wasn't satisfied with the my previous booking and I was very pleased I did. The Polish lady (I forgot her name) who served as receptionist and cook for breakfast was very helpful in suggesting places dinner and telling us that the next day, being German Reunification Day, the town would have a car-free day with many street stalls. We enjoyed our stay there!

When breakfast is not on a buffet, it is not well organized. Keeping in mind that for business trips, people are leaving before 8 o'clock in the morning and the breakfast starts at 7, needs to be ordered and prepared... May be order the previous night service would be nice option for those cases.

This hotel was very comfortable and the Reception staff were excellent, especially Sara who helped me get to the Passion Play in time, she was a star. I loved the location.

I wanted to eat in the restaurant, but didn’t realise you had to book during the passion play and reception said they would accommodate me, but the restaurant said they were full so I had a cup of coffee somewhere else and the nuts from the mini bar, no room service for a light meal, which I’d expect, given the price per night. The spa opening hours didn’t fit into my visit hours, I booked thinking I’d be able to enjoy the spa on Sunday morning before checking out, but it was closed. For these reasons I would mark it down compared to other hotels at a similar price per night that I have stayed in worldwide.

The restaurant for dinner is great. Very German with excellent good. Friendly staff. Lively restaurant. Lots of people from the hotel and others My room was lovely. Balcony. Very comfortable. The staff were perfect. Friendly. Smiling. I will definitely return.

My room was beautifully decorated. The balcony view was amazing. it was near the church and the church bells were nice to hear. The staff were incredibly professional, helpful, and treated me like a VIP. They celebrated my birthday with a surprise single serving bday cake, candles, and a beautifully decorated breakfast table. The dining room was so professionally run, clean and neat and provided me one of the best dinner meals I’ve ever had. The location was perfect for walking in the city and to the Passion Play. This is one of my favorite hotel stays ever. I would definitely come back here, I can’t say enough about his great it is.

Breakfast is awesome. Room newly renovated. Bed is very comfortable. Good location in the center of town next to lots of unique local shops.

The church next door rings its bell every 15 minutes day and night every day :-( When you on jet lag and can't sleep, you definitely hear the bells all night :-(

Wonderful in every way. Stunning rooms, very clean and comfortable. Gorgeous balcony with views of the mountains. Very welcoming and helpful receptionist. Great meal and beers on the terrace in the evening, lovely breakfast with freshly cooked eggs in the morning. The town is very sweet. We loved it here!

Breakfast was included and it was excellent especially when we sat on the patio looking at the mountains. The next day's breakfast we didn't have a choice but to sit in doors even though the weather was beautiful. :(

There was no air conditioning in the rooms. We used 2 fans to cool the room down. It was 1/2 mile to the train station with our suit cases which almost broke our wheels. Perhaps offer shuttle.

Great help from the staff very friendly. Surprise balcony with a great view of the mountains and peak. Superb comfort great room and bathroom. Right next door to the historic beautiful church. Easy walk to the Passion Play theater (that we came to see)

Very nice historical hotel in the center of Oberammergau. Walking distance to everything. parking adjacent. Very nice restaurant for breakfast and lunch.
