Excellent location for visiting all that's interesting, in Potsdam; a pleasant view from our room at the front of the hotel and the efficient double-glazing blocked any noise from the traffic. Close to recommendable restaurants and shops.. and the trams and buses are easily accessible within a short walk. The hotel is well maintained, tastefully decorated and all areas were kept clean, at all times. Our room was comfortable, again interestingly furnished and the heating/air-conditioning worked well. We appreciated the room safe and the complementary bottled water, replenished every day. Both the breakfast room and the bar area were light and airy...and had it been warm enough in the morning, we certainly would have sat on the delightful garden terrace. Breakfast was not included in our booking and at first, threatened to be rather expensive for us vegetarians who usually only eat fresh fruit and yoghurt to start the day; however, the variety of food available, here, ranks amongst our three top favourites and we were tempted on all five days of our stay. Really impressed to find roasted vegetables, a good selection of fresh fruits, soya yogurts, vegan paté and particularly, an incredible selection of proper, loose-leafed teas, rather than teabags! Service was professional and friendly and displays were replenished regularly. Nevertheless, a hotel stay is all about staff and service and the staff, here, deserve a special mention. From our arrival until our departure, the service was faultless in every area. Every query or request was dealt with immediately and efficiently in the warmest of manners. Special thanks to Stefan, Tony, Marcus, Michael and Katryn for making our stay such an enjoyable one and we look forward to visiting again.

The hotel is cozy and very clean. Staff was very nice and the breakfast good.

The pillows were awful.

The location is very close to the Dutch Quarter. The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff is very helpful. The hotel has an underground parking garage with an elevator access for 20 Euro per night.

A reservation for the car parking spot is necessary. Otherwise you may not get it when you arrive at the hotel. But we could not make the parking spot reservation at the time we booked the hotel and didn’t get the response from the hotel for the message sent to the hotel regarding the parking spot registration. We called the hotel and had the reservation done.

The room service was outstanding. The mini bar was included in the tarriff which was a very nice gesture and the breakfast was sumptuous! But we would like to make special mention of Michael (Bar Manager). Michael's gentle, albeit warm, sincere and engaging manner was a highlight for us. He provided wonderful conversation and some education about non-alcoholic cocktails which we will practice at home.

The air conditioning could have been cooler. Our room was still too warm at night.

Great location, comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Also nice terrace, which is pleasant for afternoon drink.

Parking garage is very tight (and expensive). Additionally, there is no drop off point available so be prepared to carry or drag luggage across stones. Staff pulls double duty as bar tenders/wait staff. Works ok during off peak periods but not ideal in afternoon when everyone wants to check in and enjoy the terrace. Also, some rooms do not have dark curtains...making sleeping challenging in the early hours of summer.

Liked pretty much everything. Beautiful building located on edge of old town within easy walking distance to Sansouci Palace. Classical interior decor of a high standard. Super comfortable beds. Great bathroom. Nice bar area with adjoining lounges. Lovely outdoor terrace at rear. Excellent selection at breakfast Buffett. Helpful staff. Lots of USB ports in room. Complimentary mini bar. Lalique toiletries.

Air conditioning struggled a bit ! and could do with an improvement otherwise this hotel would get a 10 from me,

The hotel has old world charm and standing but all the internal fittings and finish are absolutely in pristine condition, high quality and up to date. The hotel room was a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was ideal for walking to the palace gardens about 5 minutes away, and directly into the central area of town for restaurants, shopping and other areas of historic interest. Very helpful and pleasant staff.

Room very nicely appointed but small. All amenities that you would expect from a excellent hotel were present in the bath and shower. Breakfast was of superior level with abundant choices continuously replenished to meet any dietary requirement. Delicious!

While parking was available when I arrived the sharp turn to enter the down sloped garage was narrow but once inside you could maneuver to angle straight into a parking space. Unusual mechanics, with the car needing to be pulled forward on to a metal ramp at each parking space. It would appear the drive on ramp could be elevated to allow another vehicle to park beneath it. The system was not functioning while I there.

Clean, friendly, spacious rooms, great location.

Two issues: we asked twin beds and got a single king size. It was OK though because there were seperate duvets, and that was what was important to us :-) Also, the method of streaming from mobile phone to the TV did not work well. We only got it to work one night after asking for help and it would drop out often.

It was an elegant, comfortable and really old style beautiful building. The breakfast terrace was so special and the position of the hotel perfect considering that Potsdam is not a tiny town.

I found the parking garage odd. Very narrow entrance and difficult parking spots. I suspect it is to facilitate more cars but I found it challenging. I also think €20 a night for a car is a bit cheeky.
