I loved the serenity and peace-"far from the maddening crowd", yet, close enough to hike up to get to the castle.

The hotel was ideally situated for visiting both castles in one day and a walk around the lake. All in easy reach on foot. The hotel was spotless. We had a spacious room with a balcony which gave us a spectacular view of the mountain and the castle. Good choice of breakfast and we were greeted with a complimentary drink and cake on arrival at the hotel. Brilliant secure underground parking was available on site.

Can't think of anything. Be aware that no evening meals are available but we were given recommendations for restaurants in town and they pre-booked for us.

The location, the staff, the size and beauty of the Challet. We had to change our dates due to flight cancelation and got a great response from the management even though the payment was nonrefundable. The Challet is self catering but the hotel provided free fresh bread service each day which was very appreciated. They also helped us with tickets to the castles. The service was very personal and we felt welcomed. The rooms were nice and the bathroom on the first floor was to die for. The kitchen is has all the appliances you can think of and tons of dishes.

We were able to leave our car in the garage until we were ready to leave the area. We had already checked out but they were happy for us to leave the car in the garage. I thought this was very generous.

Nope can’t really say anything displeased me. It was all really good and a place l would definitely go back to. If anything it may be a bit further out of town than some accommodation but that just reduces the traffic noise and meant we got we’re closer to the Neuschwanstein castle view. So again it was a bonus.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We arrived well before check-in time, with luggage and stayed in Hohnschwangau well after check-out time and they allowed us to keep our bags there in a secure area both before and after. They also allowed us to use the restroom facilities and helped us with transportation and other planning details. Can't say enough about the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. Will definitely stay at Hotel Villa Ludwig if we come back to the region!!!

This is a very nice hotel situated in picturesque area below Neuschwanstein Castle and it is very clean, well maintained. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly.Lovely big room with very comfy bed, separate large bathroom and toilet, mini bar and tea & coffee making facilities. We had a small balcony with fantastic view of the castle. I highly recommend it for its cleanliness, warm and helpful service, view and location.

We stayed in the love suite and had the perfect view of the castle! It was perfect after just being engaged! The staff were very knowledgeable about the castles and hikes! I’m glad we were able to ask them any question without feeling embarrassed. The breakfast was amazing as well!

The walk to their partner restaurant was a bit tiring since it was raining. Their partner restaurant is the only thing open past 7PM. However, it’s not that big of a issue since they provide umbrellas

Beautiful small hotel with only a few suites. Modern structure tastefully decorated without the tacky pseudo-bavarian kitsch. Well located the the castles within walking distance, but away from the crowds. Practical and secure underground garage, linked by lift. Immaculately clean. Very quiet rooms. Excellent breakfast with fresh products. Helpful reception staff, obtaining tickets for castle visits, avoiding queues We appreciated flexible check-in/ check-out times.

Terrific hotel out of the hustle bustle of the main 'centre' but no more than a 5 minute walk. That makes this a peaceful location. The room was excellent - we had a separate bedroom from a living area with a terric view of the main event right above us. Breakfast was excellent and although there is no restaurant there was always someone at the bar for a beer or glass of wine. There's even underground parking.

Could do with a restaurant.

The hotel is located in a great place - exactly under the castle. We were given upgreade of the room for free and could enjoy amazing view on the castle directly from our balcony, bad and even from the bath :) We also appriciated a very nice breakfast, customer orientation and place for parking in the underground garage. We really recommend this place!

The only thing which we would avoid were the wespen disturbing us on the balcony, but it can happen everywehre.
