The ambiance is a mixture between the old fashioned stylish bar and the more modern rooms. You see a mixture of guests here which is nice. Sport facilities is outside the hotel in an external gym bit those guys are great! Hotel gave me a bottle of water and a towel. Great! Breakfast staff was nice and helpful. Quality dishes

They where doing construction work but decided 07:00 on a Saturday morning was a great time to start drilling. This might be legal and such but in a place which calls itself “royal” you would expect they pay attention to this and wait for a moment later on the day.

The hotel was easy to find and the location brilliant. It has a private car park around the back with direct access to the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and fresh. There are cafes, bars and restaurants within a very short walk with a wide variety of cuisines to choose from. The room was clean and spacious with air con and although our room faced the busy road outside, it was quiet. The bathroom had a walk in shower which was large. We would definitely stay there again if we are ever in Stuttgart - we have been there twice in the past passing through but whilst the other hotels were fine, this one would be the favourite to come back to.

The hotel was conveniently situated, close to the main shopping street and restaurants. The room was large, had a large comfortable bed and a separate sitting area. The bathroom was spacious and had a good shower as well as a bath. The staff were efficient and helpful. Our room was at the back of the hotel so was very quiet. The restaurant was closed for the 3 days we were there, but breakfast was available if you wanted it. I would certainly stay at this hotel if I returned to Stuttgart

The only down side was that there wasn’t a kettle or coffee making facility in the room. Otherwise everything was perfect!

As check-in was expected at 15:00hs, We thought that our real time of arrival (around 13.30hs?) was very early. We have on our mind the possiblity to leave our luggages and be back at he expected time for check-in. However the person at the reception (her name was Vanessa if we remember well) with a big smile told us that our room was ready and that we can use it immediatley. You can imagine that it was a nice surprise. The other recepctionist we meet later were also very kind an smiling. Always attentive. Minibar: very generous: we receive two bottles of water and two bottles of Chardonnay( (all free of charge) "as a gift" from the hotel.

I had a little problem when instead of taking a shower I took a bath: the volume of water evacuated was greater than the capacity of the drain pipe, which caused temporary flooding in the rest of the bathroom. But I was able to solve it with some towels. Perhaps an anecdotal problem.

The location is good - not too far from an underground station in the centre of the city. Main sights are walking distance. There are a few local bars very close for late night drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive. The reception area has a faded look about it. Maybe 70s style. However, it seems to be undergoing a massive renovation. So for example, the basement has a superb 1930s design and our room had a very modern design. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite. This was a good room, though I'd be pushed to call it a suite. The bed was great. There was A/C (definitely needed when we went in July), a large tv, a mini fridge. Breakfast was very good / excellent. We are vegans, and the staff were able to provide vegan milk as well as a few other vegan options. There was even sparkling wine for breakfast! :D

While we were there (July 2023), re-decoration was taking place on a floor by floor basis. Therefore some of the hotel looked brand new, some a bit jaded. We only heard some banging around checkout time, so this was not a problem. We were warned that the lift would be out of order during our stay and that we could request a lower floor room and we would receive a bottle of sparkling wine. The lift was working and we didn't receive the wine - lol A small point was that the brand new A/C in our room leaked. The hotel must have been aware of it and had left a bucket and towel in the room under it. I'm guessing they will find a better solution for this. Overall, I wouldn't let the above criticisms dissuade you from choosing to stay there. It is a good hotel.

breakfast was great, the room was big and very comfortable, most of the staff were very pleasant and professional and spoke English.

We complained that the room was cold. Your receptionist went to check and insisted that we left windows open. But we never touched the windows. We didn't even know we can open those. Plus we would not open them as my friend needs warmth. The receptionist was very polite apart from this incident. Our bathroom radiator was not working at all. The hotel did not have a heater to heat the bathroom. My friend who suffers from thyroid gland problem found it difficult to be in the cold bathroom and especially where there was no bath tub for her to warm up. I have not realised that I had to book a room that would have a bath. I thought all room have a bath and a shower. This is my mistake. I will pay more attention the next time I am booking a hotel room.

Super location, renovated hotel and very handy parking at rear. Walk out the door of the hotel and you are in the city centre. Parking costs EUR18 for the night but is worth it as its in a private area at the back of the hotel. They did a very good job at upgrading the hotel while still keeping some of the original features.

A sign to show where the parking is would be helpful as I had to park outside in a no-parking zone while my wife ran in to ask. If I was alone it would have been difficult. Or if there is already a small sign then maybe make it bigger as we didnt see it.

It is located near the shopping center and Subway station, very convenient! And the Room is really very big, with desks, one big sofa and tables, and I like the washing room very much, very big and clean, and our price is very good and is one of the most cost-effective hotels we stayed in Germany, would definitely recommend and stay there again next time.

Breakfast is a little simple, as the cost is just $9.00/person, anyway, it is worthy. It would be better if the waiters were more enthusiastic.

Breakfast was excellent and the staff in the breakfast room were very polite, friendly and hospitable. Such a contrast to the staff who worked on reception

Reception staff were very unfriendly and disinterested. The man who worked on the desk didn't even know how to smile or show any sort of face that made you feel welcome. I had an issue with hiring a car and approached the reception for assistance and they made it absolutely clear to me that they had no interest in helping me. Was very uncomfortable when the staff whispered to each other in German right in front of you when it obvious they weren't being complimentary about you. Spoiled a lovely visit to Stuttgart and to a hotel that was very good in so many other ways.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the middle of Stuttgart just a couple of minutes from the S-bahn station. The room we had (twin room on the third floor) was spacious and well decorated and had everything we needed. It was also well isolated against the noise which was great! Breakfast was plentiful and varied - we also sat one evening in the restaurant and the food was quite amazing. Special shoutout to the staff who very welcoming and lovely- offering us advice on how to get around the city, helping us with printing theatre tickets and allowing to hold our luggage in the security room after check out so that we could wander a few more hours around the town before setting off to the airport. Thank you to everyone in Hotel Royal for making our short trip a pleasant experience.
