We loved the Red Dave Athens, it was a great concept, well used space in the rooms, the bathroom was cleaver (thou could be more aligned with safety in mind i.e. slippery floor throughout once you've showered). The room was a bit cramped, (might have been the room we choose) but very well thought-out. The bed very comfortable, pillows, it was a good night sleep. The neighborhood is quite honestly a bit "seedy" but we're from NYC, there is however a Police station directly across the street from the hotel, (so you're safe). The roof top was a great chill spot spectacular views, perhaps a little tiki bar setup on the roof would save on consistently running downstairs for another drink. We had the breakfast plan, food was good (no eggs, not sure it was just the time we were there or not) but there's good breakfast supply, would recommend the breakfast plan. There's a little side bar table area to people watch, plan your day, just chill, while still on the Hotel property. The neighborhood is convenient after all is said, there's food shops, restaurants, shops, etc., it is safe to walk about, of course there's the unfortunate souls living on the streets on your path to the hotel, depending on your path, welcome to the world The Dave Red Athens, served its purpose for us, location, food, convenient, we felt safe walking about, Staff was great/help, always willing to help. We loved it!

Very nice and stylish boutique hotel that is fun and comfortable. Very convenient to the train line to the airport and Acropolis .

The hotel is across the street from a police station which sounds fine except that groups of friends and family gather every morning awaiting the release of people who have been incarcerated overnight. People are released at noontime. In addition nearby groups of people are living on the streets. In our short stay of two nights we saw two people actively injecting drugs. We have lived in NYC for decades and we were not fearful for ourselves or our property. However these were very sad sights but very memorable. The police are active. We as well saw under cover cops strip search men on the sidewalk with their pants down to the thighs. All this adds a contemporary perspective in contrast to ancient Athens.

I love the hotel, the aesthetic is so cinematic I feel I am in a different universe. Definitely, my favorite place to stay in Athens.

The only reason I didnt give a 10 was because not all red led strips were functioning in the room and it was one of the main reasons I wanted to stay there. Also the thermostat was a bit weird it wouldn't stay above 22 degrees Celsius.However those were minor things for me since everything else is great, staff super helpful and pleasant, the room and hotel are very clean, the matress and pillows are amazing.

I spent a delightful stay at the Dave Red Hotel in Athens with my partner in the beginning of December. The hotel was very nice, with comfortable rooms, a modern design, and clean amenities. We were particularly impressed with the breakfast, which was small but delicious and featured high-quality ingredients. The hotel staff was also generally polite and helpful. Overall, we had a very positive experience at the Dave Red Hotel and would recommend it to others.

The hotel is located near a metro station, which makes it easy to get around Athens. However, the area around the hotel is not the safest at night. I wouldn't recommend walking carefree alone after a certain time. Some of the staff, particularly the receptionists, seemed a bit distant. It would be nice if they could be more welcoming and approachable.

- staff amazing, caring and helpful, beginning with the receptionists to cleaners, super positive people open to chatting and sharing tips about bars, nightclubs, restaurants and attractions. -room clean with a smashing atmosphere, red lights, old fashioned phone and gramophone, after a few drinks this room brought me to 70'. -breakfast tasty, vegan, vegetarian, everyone could find something nice to eat. I tried the juice they offered and it was a cure for a hangover. You could also enjoy your food on the balcony. -roof top spectacular, relaxing jacuzzi as well as clean. I've been traveling solo for the first time and I really felt confident and safe during my stay, The staff advised me what part of the city to avoid to keep myself safe. I loved this place with all my heart.

Good location, friendly staff, fun room and hotel decoration. Nice to have a gym and rooftop, massage room, pool table, bar, and breakfast. Pretty much everything you need, with popcorn machine and records. Good size bathroom, has conditioner too.

This was my second stay, and the was not as nice as the first. The red light in my foxy room did not work any of the 4 days, even though I told the staff every day. There were no bathrooms and freshwater like there was on my first stay, not a welcome note with complimentary candy and drink.

Despite the hotel's prime location in front of a police station, I found the area to be unsafe at night.

The location was amazing, every attraction points we visited is within walking distance. In general, the hotel has a very modern and alternative interior design, the view from the terrace on the top was pleasant. The bed was quite comfortable and having multiple pillow options was a plus for us. Especially I wanna mentioned about breakfast, it was above my expectation.

The only negative side was that the rooms were quite small, after Athens we were going to island so we had a lot of bags maybe because of that it may have seemed much smaller to us.

I loved the cool vibe of the place. AC was great. The days I was there were 35 Celsius and the room was still cool for an afternoon nap. The room was perfect. The shower was big. Everything was spotless. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was great. The selection looked small at first but everything was fresh and tasty. The yogurt was fabulous. And they even had Almond milk and coconut milk.

The elevator is quite small and slow. Old building. Just be patient. Or use the stairs when you can. The location: central but a bit seedy. During the day it’s fine. But at night just take an Uber. Everything is 5-10 minutes drive for 4-5 euros. Really nice taverna quite close. Ask the desk. Can’t remember the name. And fabulous bakery on the corner.
