We always stay here for the family NYE holiday trip to Athens as it offers a great location in the heart of the city. The hotel is cozy and warm on winter while the beds are a dream to sleep on. The staff is always helpful and friendly. As it concerns breakfast, it is fine.Nothing to go crazy about, but it filled out needs.

Prefer to book the rooms facing Ermou str. They seem to place booking.com clients in the back rooms, which are smaller - especially the bathroom. The view on the back rooms is building walls with lots of aircondition units making noise if you keep the window open. This is what happened to us this year as we forgot to ask for the front rooms.

I liked everything except that at dinner, the hostess refused to seat me in preferred seating. Everyone wants to sit outside where there are views of the Parthenon. I was traveling solo. There were empty tables outside so I asked to be seated there. The hostess claimed that the tables were reserved. Understandable. So I decided to sit at the bar so I could make the best of the views as possible. However, I sat at the bar to relax and after two hours, no one had showed up for their “reserved” tables. Saving available tables for potential bigger parties is poor service to single guests that paid the same amount of money to stay at your hotel.

Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and delicious. There were lots of options. We spent a good deal of time at the gorgeous rooftop bar enjoying the view of Acropolis with fab drinks made by Christof. He was professional and so fun to talk to. We really enjoyed his company. Lastly, I can’t commend the staff at the front desk enough in being communicative and invaluable in helping me get my cell phone back as I had left it in an Uber right before we left for a cruise. It was eventually returned and I picked it up on the way to the airport the following week. Ten stars for Electra and their staff⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved the Electra Hotel on Ermou! We stayed here to celebrate my partner's special birthday and we certainly chose the right hotel! I had a number of emails in advance of our stay to arrange a few special surprises for my partner. Guest relations representative Aggeliki was fantastic, wholly professional and contributed with useful suggestions. We stayed in a room on the 4th floor with windows opening onto Ermou, the pedestrian street outside, but the windows were soundproof so we were never disturbed by noise from outside. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom had a lovely bathtub we enjoyed and breakfast each morning was an excellent buffet with a great view of the Acropolis, just wow! We had dinner on XFloor Restaurant one evening and the food was very good. The fish we had there was better than other places we tried while in Athens. We were charmed by the Electra on Ermou and will stay here again when we return to Athens! <3

Personally I did not like the pedestrian street Ermou but that was nothing to do with the Electra. We just went down the side and back streets, much nicer and more interesting. We did not come to Athens for shopping, Ermou was crowded and noisy but not a problem for us, we just went elsewhere.

Location: Excellent - right in the centre and close to the Acropolis Room: Very comfortable but the walls seemed very thin. I could hear other residents clearly and this woke me at night. It was like they were in the room! Breakfast: Ok, could have been warmer! But had a good variety of cooked foods and a continental option Dinner: Really nice! Great view from the restaurant and the staff were brilliant

The room was really only the issue in terms of noise at night. The noise was not from outside but from other returning guests. You could hear them speaking clearly.

Very comfortable beds and lovely room and great location, a few minutes walk from Syntagma Square so very easy to get from airport on direct train and direct train to Piraes. Lovely view from roof terrace. Breakfast looked wonderful but unfortunately we left too early to have it.

The takeaway breakfast box was awful, practically inedible. Only ate the cake and drunk the water. The rest went in the bin. In unnecessary huge cardboard packaging which looked impressive (but hard to carry) but only a few items at the bottom of the box. We ended up buying breakfast items at Piraes from a bakery before getting on the ferry. We left the hotel 10 minutes after breakfast started so would have been nice to have been allowed to pack a few items ourselves but this was not allowed. Or the hotel should have a rate without breakfast. I know this is not the fault of the staff. They are just doing their job and following the rules.

The hotel is in a very central location. The facilities are exceptional. The breakfast room and view is breathtaking. The breakfast buffet is a wonderful start to the day with a great variety and selection of fresh food. But by far the most outstanding thing about the Electra hotel is the staff. My companion broke their arm in Naxos and required emergency surgery back in Athens. When I advised the staff at the Electra of this they went out of their way to help me in any way they could. They were always conscious of checking I was ok. I will not forget their kindness. I will be back later in the year and I will be staying here again. Exceptional in every way.

we liked everything about this hotel. Right in the heart of the city centre and yet our room was very quiet. The staff were exceptionally accomodating. A proper concierge service added to our enjoyment. Breakfast on the roof with uninterrupted view of the Parthenon was an unexpected treat. We took a standard room which was comfortable but a little small and view over ugly rooftops but screened by curtain, however, Athens is not a pretty city and I expect rooms in any hotel in the centre to have a similar aspect. Overall we loved this hotel and would highly reccommend it.

I am so glad I chose this hotel, and I would choose it again. The location was fantastic. All of the staff were so kind and helpful. Staff at the front desk helped me organise a car at the last minute. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It was clean, the bathroom was nice, and concierge organised for my luggage to be stored before I arrived. Breakfast was great in the rooftop restaurant and the cafe in the lobby is for hotel guests only and had lots of good food options. Thank you to all of the staff for their filoxenia. We loved staying here.

Location, breakfast and super friendly staff. Excellent range and quality of choice for breakfast, was accompanied by seriously impressive sweeping views from acropolis to Lycabettus Hill and everything in between. The hotel has something of an old world charm about it and is centrally located just off Syntagma Square making it a perfect choice as a base to explore from. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (without exception). Highly recommend - we enjoyed a fabulous week there.

Room / bathroom were a little dated (eg shower was little more than a trickle) and cramped but exceptionally clean and well stocked with toiletries etc.
