Very clean room. Comfortal bed with extra pillows available in closet and duvet cover used (instead of a sheet under a duvet). 24 hour receptionist. Excellent location, very close to Monastiraki square (7 min walk). Free luggage storage in an unlocked area. Several paid lockers available for 2 euros (no time limit). Also paid luggage weight available (I did not use). The best part, amazing top floor breakfast area with floor to ceiling glass window. A good spread of breakfast items, including boiled eggs, bread slices, cheese pastries, cereals, juices from a machine, decent coffee, yummy Greek yogurt, oranges, ham slices, cheese slices and fresh Greek salad ingredients (cucumber, tomato, olives, feta cheese). A lovely breakfast buffet to start one's day.

Our room by the elevators can be noisy despite the owner posted a sign asking people to be quiet when waiting for the elevator. We had the misfortune to be woken up when a group of family was leaving around 7:30 am. We thought there were kids racing in the hallway, judging by the sound... Not the owner's fault. The room was quiet again for a few hours until house keeping started cleaning around check out time (12pm). Overall, a wonderful accomodation to stay. Just ask for a room at the end of the hallway, instead of in the middle (by the elevator) if you are sensitive to sound and like to sleep in on your holiday.

Comfortable, clean and recently renovated room. Though near the city centre it was very quiet at night. Nice roof top terrace. Friendly staff.

Though lively during the day, the hotel is located in a street which I would not walk alone after sunset. Taxi service is very easy though.

The hotel is just wonderful! First and foremost the nice and helpful staff (they even packed us breakfast to take for the flight!). The location is wonderful (about 5 minutes from one of the main squares, about 2 minutes from a Cute Square with charming taverns and cafes, and about 15 minutes from the Acropolis). The room itself is also lovely and very clean. The bed was very comfortable for us and we slept wonderfully every night! Breakfast was simple but good (several types of bread, one hard cheese, feta, some sausages, yogurt, chopped vegetables, and a little more). The most worthwhile part is to start the day with breakfast on a high floor with a wonderful view.

I will note that the room is a bit small (mostly the toilet and shower) but we did not see a need for more than that.

The hotel is located in a perfect location with a walkable distance to the centre and to the metro station. It has a beautiful rooftop from which you can enjoy a drink at night and the view on the Acropolis from the 7nd floor where the breakfast is served is also stunning. Breakfast is delicious with a variety of both sweet and savory options. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was extremely helpful, kind and friendly.

Unfortunately the whole stay was interrupted by an unbearable amount of mosquitos so maybe some kind of adjustable/movable net for the balcony would be highly appreciated. We would also appreciate a kettle or at least a set of glass for water in the room. The hotel also offers a variety of snacks and dinner options but unfortunately, the first time we went, we were told that there is only a pizza and salad available and the second time, we were told that they cannot provide us with any food, only drinks.

Location was perfect once familiar with the area. Only recommendation is that the direction to the hotel from Monastiriki train stn should state the exit we have to take to get out of the stn as the stn has various exits so unless you know the specific exit to take it can be rather confusing to get to the hotel. Location was close to major tourist attractions, restaurants, shops, local market and the overall area had a great atmosphere. The hotel rooms were large, clean and modern. Breakfast offerings were good being a continental breakfast and the dinner and drink prices if you wish to stay in the hotel in the evenings were very reasonable. There is also a small gym and sauna onsite too. Pre-arrival communication from the hotel was also good.

Direction to hotel from Monastiriki stn was not clearly provided by hotel. Hotel should inform guests of which exit to take from this stn otherwise it is very easy to get lost. The hotel is a 7min walk from the stn once you know which exit to take however we walked for 30mins with suitcases as we "guessed" the wrong exit to take. There should be tea & coffee making facilities provided in the bedrooms.

Localisation is perfect as a starting point for sightseeing. You can go to the Acropolis by foot, You can go to metrostation by foot, go to Plaka by foot. Everywhere is close within 15 minut of walking. Don't care about graffiti and how the neighbourhood looks like - whole Athens looks the same. What I liked is really helpful reception and people there.

What should be better? I think breakfasts. I know continental breakfasts, and know it's monotony, but in a country with such a good olive You should have possibility to use it to breakfasts. It would also be nice to have a good cup of tea instead of machine coffee.

Hotel in a very good location for visiting the oldest area of Athens (right next door) - including the Acropolis. Convenient walk to the most important museums and tourist "promenades". Very helpful and smiling staff. Very clean room with comfortable beds, a dressing table, a tiny bathroom (modest but very clean) and a balcony. Clean sheets and towels. Breakfast is modest, but made of fresh products: some cheese, some cold cuts, some fruit, hot and cold drinks, bread. Everything tastes great, because breakfast is also served... a very nice view of the Acropolis from the breakfast room and from the panoramic terrace above this room. P.S. Neighborhood and neighboring buildings very neglected, but no dangerous phenomena or people were observed. Nice and quiet. A lot of Chinese shops "with everything" nearby (something like china town).

Not applicable, but as as an "area for improvement": The walls between the rooms and the doors to the rooms are not soundproofed - you can hear conversations in neighboring rooms and guests and cleaning staff moving in the corridor.

The Hotel is a gem located at the heart of Monastiraki, Athens. Best rooftop bar where you can see the sunset over the white roof tops and watch the Acropolis slowly come alight. Top location to visit many ancient historic sites and museums. Arriving during the day you walk past a variety of market stalls and wholesalers based on the street walk to the hotel. If you arrive in the evening, the street may appear somewhat seedy, but don't be fooled. The surroundings are lively and safe with local authentic restaurants and bars. The modern rooms are clean, soundproofed, and comfortable. Great breakfast spread on the rooftop with gorgeous views. The icing on the cake is the staff - very helpful and affable. You'll like this place :)

This hotel should at least be rated 3 stars, and was a great stay for us in Athens. I would recommend to anyone visiting Athens and wanting to visit the main attractions. Newly renovated interior meant the room was in pristine condition. Very tasteful decorations and comfortable beds, good linen, and a very nice bathroom and shower. Breakfast has great variety and was of good quality, it’s provided in their top floor restaurant which has a gorgeous view. Location is proximate to the big tourist attractions (5-10mins to ancient agora and hadrians library, 20 min walk to the Acropolis) and great restaurants. If you’re not used to a bit of grunge (graffiti etc.) you may take a while to adjust, but most of Athens is like this. The staff went out of their way to make our stay a great one!

Breakfast: superb variety of delicious food. Helpful efficient and very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable with beautiful views Lovely views of Acropolis , mountains and Athens in general. Also enjoyed relaxing on the terrace at the end of a day Convenient location for different Tavernas in Theatro Square which were so easy to get to. Close to small shops or street stalls Excellent for walking to Syntagma, Plaka and Monastiraki ie Old Athens. Well placed for the Metro. Very useful to have a hotel taxi service

This is by no means a fault of Euripides Hotel but we were always afraid of tripping or falling on uneven street surfaces.
