Fantastic location in the heart of Plaka, fabulous roof top bar with a view of the Acropolis. Very clean and staff very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was a little boring, could have done with a better variation of fresh fruit, breads and biscuits, maybe offer scrambled eggs. We stayed twice first for 4 nights in a standard room with balcony, the second time for 2 nights on our return journey, we booked a room with acropolis view but to be honest we preferred the standard room set out better and after being in the rooftop bar we didn’t need the view of the Acropolis.

When we arrived, we realised that this location was actually the best choice we could have picked. Everything is like 5-10 minutes walking distance and neighbourhood is quiet, romantic and safe. Staff was incredibly friendly and our room was always clean, sheets were changed every day and we were very satisfied.

We only think that breakfast might be changed, not everything and not too much, just for example change the way you prepare eggs every day, or put one day ham, the other sausage, bacon etc. just not every day the same.

The location was fantastic. On a lovely quiet pedestrian street in a convenient location in the Plaka. View from breakfast room/bar was amazing both day and night- looked right at the Acropolis. View from room was great too- also looked at the Acropolis. Room was a decent size as was the deck. Room and bed were clean and comfortable. Staff was super. They were always very helpful whether it was organizing transportation to and from the hotel, providing suggestions of places to eat or even a laundry service. Amazingly, they remembered who you were after meeting you only one time.

While the hotel was great overall, there were a few things that I found to be a challenge. The first was the shower. It is quiet small and while we didn't have any issue fitting in it, the way it was designed the entire bathroom became wet when using it. The other thing we noticed was that being on the floor just below the breakfast room/bar area, we could often hear a fair amount of noise from above. One other item to be conscious of was the stairs. They are spiral and probably not the best for those with mobility issues. There is a tiny elevator but as far as I could tell it doesn't go to the breakfast room/bar floor.

Adonis Hotel is located in the Plaka area of Athens and is close to all the historical landmarks in Athens. It’s also close to eating and shopping places. The hotel staff were always polite and accommodating. It’s about a 7-minute walk from the main metro connection at Syntagma Square.

Elevator, rooms, hallways, and bathroom were small and felt confining. If you’re a big person (200lbs+), you’ll find it challenging to navigate the bathroom or take a shower. Also, parking around the hotel is limited and streets around the hotel are narrow and usually packed with cars and/or people. Would not recommend renting a car while staying at the hotel.

We liked the location of the hotel as it was close to The Plaka area of Athens and the roof top bar at night beautiful views of the acropolis lit up.

Just a little complaint, they had nowhere inside the hotel to get a bottle of water or soft drink upon arrival, as with that heat it would be great to have this facility.

The location is perfect. A little gem hidden in old town of Athens. Hotel itself is very cosy and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed and we enjoyed the amazing view from the hotel terrace to Acropolis. Speaking of it- the hotel is so close to Acropolis just 10 min by walk. Highly recommend it if you want quiet place in the middle of Athens old town. You don't need any transport because everything is so close.

I loved the breakfast, the view and the location. I felt safe and comforted there! This is the third time I have visited Greece and the third time I have stayed with them, bc of their price point, location and general comfort that I had been there before it was a perfect choice! I will return!

I tried to upgrade my parents and there was limited availability, they were very unhappy which was sad and the hotel due to being booked wasn't able to be flexible. The triples and the rooms facing front are great, the others are very small with no view. I also wanted to put the AC on and it was very cool the first times I had been there but not really working the last time.

That was just an amazing stay. The hotel is situated in the middle of Plaka - "old town" district of Athens with historical buildings behind every corner. The staff was impecable - always helpful, always accomodating, always sympathetic. Rooms are basic, but freshly renovated and extremely clean. The view from breakfast area is stunning - as on pics - directly on Acropolis. You can in fact enjoy them twice per day as there is a "sky bar" open in the evening with illuminated Acropolis as a scene for your evening drink (the area is both outdoor and indoor so you can enjoy it independant of the weather). I want to highlight once again the location - we were sightseeing Athens mainly on foot and it turned out that we were passing by our hotel several times per day. You can say that it maybe was our bad planning, but in reality it was just that good location! The breakfast - we enjoyed it so much! Maybe if you're used to English heavy breakfast you won't find all necessary ingredients, but we were super happy with the options provided that allowed us to "build" from scratch Horiatiki (Greeek salad) with REAL feta and extremely TASTY olives. You could make toasts, eggs, ham, cheese and sweet option including very tasty Greek yoghurt and honey

I loved everything. But if you are somehow struggling with stairs - please bear in mind that the elevator/lift is taking you only to the L-1 below the breakfast area - what means you'll have to climb one flight of stairs to have your breakfast every morning.

What a hotel!! Firstly we were met with an exceptionally professional and so helpful gentleman at the desk. He had no problem organising taxis for us at any time. We arrived at 1pm and luckily our room was ready. The room was a really good size, had a lovely bathroom and was spotless. We had a large balcony overlooking the Acropolis and there is a bar open in the evenings overlooking the Acropolis also. All the staff were amazingly helpful. It is situated on a quiet street in Plaka just 2 minutes walk from the most fabulous selection of restaurants and shopping. We were able to walk to the Acropolis, The Tomb of the unknown Soldier and St Pauls Church. Such a fabulous hotel in a fabulous location. The hotel was recommended to me by a friend and I certainly would recommend it for a stay in Athens.
