Our second stay in 2 years. We came back due to the location. The location overcame any issues that came to mind. Ohter reviews would have raised questions in our minds had we not stayed here before.

We flew 2 overnight flights to arrive at the hotel and we of course arrived tired and a couple of hours before official check in hours. From the past I was aware that we could store our luggage until the appropriate check in time. We were offered an earlier check in for 50 euros which we decided to take--note rate for room with taxes was 125 euros a night. We received a nice top floor room with a street view. The hotel offers a sedan pickup for 60 euros during the day. We used a booking site off the internet and it cost us 45 euro before tip--we ended up using the same service back to the airport.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Phidias Hotel in Athens, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the Acropolis and other major attractions. The rooms, although on the smaller side, were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service provided by Grace at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Grace went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, providing excellent recommendations for local dining and attractions. The complimentary breakfast, while not very varied, was still good and a great start to the day. The hotel's location also made it easy to explore the vibrant neighborhood, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby. Overall, I highly recommend Phidias Hotel for anyone visiting Athens. The combination of its prime location, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding service from Grace made our stay truly memorable

Room a bit little, breakfast good but not so vary.

This hotel proved to be the best choice to stay in Athens. The location was amazing, the services and comfort were very much satisfying. I have to stress that the hotel staff was amazing, they were being very professional and friendly. Since I had many difficulties with my travel arrangement (my flight was rescheduled and then cancelled), the staff of the hotel proved to be very very helpful and understanding. They helped me arrange everything needed for my stay in Athens and nothing presented a problem for them. Special thanks to Mrs Grace, she is really high-spirited and positive soul. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. It is so calming to have someone like that at the reception of the hotel. You have a feeling to be in very good hands. Thank you!

Great location. Easy to get to metro. Pleasant cafe right on the central pedestrian route to Monastiraki with its restaurants and night life.. Good double glazing to keep out noise. It had a lift. The bathroom was a decent size.

I couldn't get the air conditioning unit to work very well. I would have liked drawers to put my clothes in. There was some hanging space only.. Also a shelf for putting small objects. The double bed had two single mattresses with different heights which was irritating.. The reception staff were pleasant enough but didn't put in any extra effort, responding to direct questions but not contributing any additional advice or suggestions.

Very convenient, excellent breakfast, most of the staff tried to be so helpful and pleasant, able to see acropolis from the hotel entrance, pedestrian area and many restaurants to choose from . Room basic but had everything you need. Also able to catch hop on hop off bus with a 10 walk.

Being pedestrian area and busy restaurants was bit noisy late into night . It would have been great to have had use of a washing machine or laundry- there was a laundry bag in the room but when I asked was told no - look on line for laundry - not too helpful!

The location of the hotel is fantastic : it's next to a metro station and walking distance from the main sights. Definitely worth the money. The breakfast was also delicious l - it is so filling that you can skip the lunch. However, the main highlight of the hotel is the ladies working there who made my stay very pleasant. The receptionist Grace is amazing, she was always in a good mood, asking about my day and greeting everyone as an old friend . Odele (hopefully I wrote the name correctly ) was very helpful and always gave valuable insight about attractions, transportation and everything else in the city.

Excellent staff! Location: is located just far enough away from the city core to be away from the noise, traffic, crowds & hectic busyness of the city core, but close enough to walk to attractions in 15 minutes, give or take. It looks out on the lively promenade that leads to the city core's attractions & is lined w/outdoor cafes, a park & soccer field - it draws people of all ages to meet, enjoy a meal or drink, to just stroll & people watch, jog, bike ride, play soccer, walk to nearby places, or just hang out. This is also your view from the hotel rooms with balconies.   the receptionist/manager "G" provides exceptional Kenyan/Greek hospitality. She routinely went "above and beyond" to accommodate guests & truly deserves 5 gold stars! The day receptionist also made sure my taxi was ordered in time to board my ferry. I recommend it & will always try to stay at Phidias Hotel Athens when I visit.

I liked everything.

Everything was amazing, the hotel was clean and every morning there is breakfast which is really good and diverse plus the cleaning lady comes every morning. The staff is super friendly and there was this woman Grace who worked at the reception. She is really kind and generous and she made the hotel 10 times better. She really made the difference and helped us with our stay, recomended restaurants and how to get to certain locations. It was nice hanging out with her and also with the woman at the bar but we didnt catch her name unfortunately. Good wifi was also a plus and the location was amazing. Deffinitly recommend to stay at this hotel.

Location is outstanding, it's a 15-minute walk to the Acropolis and really close to shops, markets and subway. Room is really comfy, bed is big enough for 2 people and has enough space for 2 suitcases with no huge issues. Balcony is good, but on summer time it's impossible to stay there due to the air conditioner's machine being at the balcony as well. There's a small fridge in the room, but it's hidden inside the closet and it can be a bit hard to find.

It's not that I didn't like it, but I think the hotel deserves a remodeling - it's clearly old, and the bathroom sink does not have any place for you to leave your stuff - we had to put our toothbrushes on a small shelf over the toilet. It's not a deal breaker, the stay was still really great, but it would be nice to see some changes.

We had an amazing stay at Phidias Hotel. Absolutely nice place with friendly staff, clean and cozy, walking distance to the Acropolis and not too busy outside. It felt almost like being local here. There is a playground just in front of the hotel. We enjoyed climbing the Areopagus Hill to get to the Acropolis rather than walking the street. Close to the metro station. Check in at 14.00, which is earlier than in many other accommodations. And also breakfast included in already moderate price. I'm truly happy to have chosen this place and highly recommend it!
