Our experience started way before we even reached the place; we had requested for an easily accessible room and a cot. Both requests happily accepted. The room -ground floor- had a great view of the sea. Spacious and comfortable, with an indoor swinging chair, fully functional kitchen, and a magnificent balcony. We chose what to have for breakfast every day, and it came to our door in a nicely assorted basket. We were also lucky that a beautiful small waterfall was installed right in front of our room - ensuring serenity every night. Thankfully, no mosquitos! This is a great place for family; our eldest met and played with other kids in the premises. Bonus points earned from an extremely friendly and cosy BBQ Saturday night.

Steep uphill from the main road; no problem for couples but a car is needed if you have young children. However, this was noted in the map, so it should count as a negative! All in all, I actually liked the fact that the place was further away from the hustle and bustle!

We loved our apartment, nicely decorated and it was a good size so we had plenty of room. We used the mini kitchen and enjoyed breakfast and sometimes lunch on the balcony to enjoy the view. A small addition, but was super handy to have a good size clothes rack for drying clothes. The view towards the sea was lovely and it was so peaceful at all times. Would recommend getting the local bus to the Temple of Aphaia, great example and fab views. Our hostess was friendly and helpful. Thank you 😊

As others have said, the walk back up would be difficult for some. We had a couple of brief rest stops when it was too hot. But what a lovely place to return to!

Beautifully styled property, with views of the sea. My adult daughter and I stayed 3 nights and the apartment was perfect for our needs. Within 8-10 minutes walk there is a supermarket, bakery, shops, restaurants and beach with sun beds. We were looking for couple of days to relax while visiting Athens and this place in Aegina exceeded our expectations. We didn’t drive and found everything very easy to access. It was a short 20 euro taxi fare back and forth to the port. We would definitely return.

Nothing, it was perfect. We liked being slightly higher for the views and quietness away from the louder bars.

We had a wonderful stay at Pefkides! The apartment was just splendid: fairly spacious with a comfortable, sizeable bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely balcony overlooking Agia Marina beach. It is ideally located in leafy surroundings full of pines and within walking distance from the beach and the local stores (bakery included, only a few blocks down the road). Also worth noting that it was blissfully quiet and the outdoor spaces with their well-groomed gardens also added to the beauty and serenity of the accommodation. The hostess, Kyparisia, was very welcoming and always eager to meet our every need.In short, a place you want to go back to - hopefully soon!

Beautiful appartement and lovely owner - very attentive to detail and to her clients. The bed was very comfortable and location was good - we had a car. The appartement was also well equipped. The common area has an incredible view.

You need a car to access the property for sure. We could hear the neighbours kid’s through the wall, but it might be because they were screaming very loud. Appart from that, everything was nice. We stayed during storm Daniel, and the hot water and electricity went out, but the owners quickly resolved the issue and were very efficient to inform us. We totally recommend.

We could not have been more pleased and impressed with this beautiful hotel. The amazing huge tiled deck had the perfect vast view of the entire bay and the breath taking sunsets. It was a quite easy 10 minute walk (uphill to come home) to the port which had tons of restaurants, bars, shops and a lovely beach with chairs to rent. The chair we chose were free when we purchased food and drink. And the rooms! Everything we needed was at our fingertips - nicely furnished kitchen, good storage spaces, big comfy bed, great wifi and a little desk for an occasional zoom call. Our hostess and her staff were quick to respond to answer any questions. Our hostess even kindly offered us a ride to the stunning not-to-be-missed Temple of Aphaia. The walk back to the hotel was about 20-30 minutes downhill.

Everything was perfect

Extremely clean room, with a housekeeper coming in daily and cleaning the room, checking if there is anything needed. Super kind and helpful hostess as well, made our stay fantastic! The views from the property were also beautiful.. with a balcony overlooking the port of Agia Marina! Not to forget the welcoming basket with local products which was the cherry on the cake ☺️

As mentioned before you should be aware of the uphill going there but it is completely worth it when you look at the views from the hotel!

The rooms are reasonably clean, but the bathroom in our apartment had no window.

This location is situated at the top of a hill. If you travel without a car you will sweat a lot on every climb, especially if you have to do some shopping from the nearest shop at the bottom of the hill. It's about 450 metres from the main street but with a 50 metre difference in level.

Our room boasted the most incredible view of Aegina – seriously, it was postcard-worthy! And talk about thoughtful amenities, we even had mosquito repellent on hand, unfortunately there are many of them. Everything was spick and span, which made it all the more comfortable. Now, let's give a shout-out to our amazing hosts. They made us feel right at home, and that welcoming vibe was like a warm hug. All in all, it was a fantastic experience that we won't forget anytime soon🌿

The owners of the apartments are extremely nice and helpful. We felt immediately at home and very happy to have chosen this place for our stay in Aegina. We had a room at the top and could enjoy a breathtaking view over the beach. Our room was extremely modern and beautifully painted and decorated. It was cleaned every day and the cleaning lady was also very friendly. We also loved the town and the beach of Agia Marina, as it’s not too crowded with foreign tourists but feels very authentic. The owners both speak English very well, but were also happy to let me practice my Greek with them. :-) All in all, we were very sad when we had to leave and would have loved to stay longer. We would definitely recommend staying at Pefkides! It is without a doubt the greatest place to stay in on Aegina! I hope we will see each other again soon!

We did not mind that it was a bit of a steep walk up the hill to the apartment, but I could imagine that it could be too exhausting for older guests. In that case I would recommend using a rental car. :-)
