Luxurious resort with wonderful private beach and food, staff except for one person very polite

The front desk lady at the breakfast/ dinner (I think her name was Anna, short hair and butterfly tattoo on arm) was very rude and treated us like second class people. Whenever we arrived she advised us that we could not sit at the table we liked, forced us to wait and then redirected us to the noisiest corner in the last room - I travel regularly for work to similar hotels and have never encountered this behavior, unacceptable and a real pity because it significantly ruined our experience

Amazing hotel with the best food and fantastic facilities.

The beach would benefit from the split between the adults only and families zone.

Sometimes the buffet food was a little lukewarm. Sun bed cushions rather grubby and beach towels tatty but clean. Not much to do in the immediate vicinity, car hire needed Very expensive drinks

the fact that 90% of the guests are RUSSIAN, and also some employees are RUSSIAN. this would not be a problem by itself, if the employees would not be entangled in RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA (the lady from the car rental said that, i quote, “WE will win this war with the west by winter, when western world will learn that russia owns them and that they cannot live without our gas”. i was just trying to rent a car… also, all the russians complained about how they had to fly to serbia, and from serbia to Crete, to avoid the travel sanctions

Modern, well equipped rooms with great view and impeccably maintained. Staff were attentive and friendly. The gym was fantastic.

It felt very busy, especially at breakfast, dinner and on the beach. On one day of our stay the beach was very dirty but the staff did work to clean it. The kids club was fine for our 5 year old but our boys aged 10 and 8 would have liked a playground and a table football table.

Everything was amazing! We had all in and enjoyed it a lot Veeeeery good food in taverna. Breakfast buffet is superbe Buffet in the evening is not on the level of the restaurants It is better then other 5 star hotels

Spa is 16+ Pool was cold in Mai and it would have been nice to have a time slot in the spa area where children are allowed

The staff at this hotel are the most loveliest people and that's what really made my stay so enjoyable. Yes the hotel and location is beautiful, but the people - both other visitors and staff were so lovely and amazing. A rare thing for me to say as a solo traveller.

The excursions are unfortunately mostly created with couples or non-solo travellers in mind. So I couldn't even sign up to most of them, I could only choose from about 3, which meant I was mostly stranded at the hotel or in the nearby town. Bear this in mind if you're staying for longer than 4/5 days as it can get quite boring. The beach is a very small strip also, that was a little disappointing too but the nearby town is great so definitely walk there or get a taxi.

Getting around the property (i.e. to and from your room to the restaurants/beach/pool/spa) is not very efficient and requires either a buggy (which needs to be ordered in advance) or 1 or 2 slow funicular rides. There should be more buggies made available on very short notice, especially during busy periods.

The place is beautiful. specially the private villas. The beach is nice and clean and it is great that you can order food and drinks to the beach bed. The restaurants are very nice. The staff and the service was also very good.

We were few days in the Villa and few days in a normal room. although quite expensive, the resort is great if you take one of the all inclusive options (the villa for example). The service is great and you can eat in one of the restaurants on every meal. If you take the normal rooms, the food in the hotel's main restaurant is not good and for every extra you pay a lot. The rooms are good in both options, but if you take the normal room, I would suggest to eat outside the resort.

It was our honeymoon, the staff greeted us perfectly. They were so nice, we asked for a room close to the pool and we got it and also we got a bubbly wine and fruits upon arrival. The room was amazing and the view breathtaking.

The whole time of our vacation, it was very windy which made seating by the pool annoying and seating in the beach almost impossible.. Now of corse the hotel is not responsible for the weather but i think the hotel is built in a narrow area between 2 mountains which makes even small air breeze into an annoying wind. The prices of cocktails in the pool area match the prices of cocktails in center Manhattan rather then reasonable prices for Crete
