Our stay at Hotel Anessis was absolutely wonderful! The flat was spotless upon our arrival and cleaned daily. The hotel's location was fantastic, within easy walking distance of Thira town, buses, local shops, and bakeries. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. I would definitely love to stay here again; it offered excellent value for money, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. During our stay, we initially stayed for three days and then ferry-hopped to Ios. However, we had to return to Santorini earlier than expected due to a ferry cancellation caused by strikes. The Anessis staff showed incredible compassion and generosity. They allowed us to leave our bags in the reception area and relax by the pool free of charge on the day of our flight home where we had nowhere to go or stay all day with our cases. They refused to accept any payment for this kind gesture. The staff at Hotel Anessis truly made us feel like family during our stay and would recommend staying here to anyone.

Fantastic sea view from the balcony, especially during sunrise. Very close to the center of Fira and the main bus station, where you can take the bus to anywhere on the island.

The bed was not that comfortable, quite hard. There are no sidewalks on the road that leads to the hotel, and cars are driving by really fast. So be careful when walking there. If you're coming from the center of Fira or the bus station I would definitely recommend walking through the big parking lot instead of following the main road. From here there is an exit that leads almost directly up to the hotel, so you only have to cross the road and not walk along it.

Beautiful renovated room, gorgeous balcony. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, with great air conditioning. Easy communication with staff, and great to be able to book an ATV that comes straight to hotel. Nice pool area, with plenty of loungers for all guests with nice shade. Much better location than I thought, 5-10 minute walk to centre of Fira (although slightly uphill - as is normal for Fira!).

Would have been great to have been provided some water for the first day, as the water in Santorini is undrinkable meaning we had to walk up to town to purchase some.

Clean, spacious, quiet place near the center and the bus station (less than 10 minutes walk). Pleasant hosts, rooms are cleaned every day, bed linen and towels are changed every day. A nice terrace from which you can see the sunrise. Nice small and clean pool and hydro massager. There is no stove

The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Easily accessible by car. The location was great, right outside Fira at a short walking distance but outside the crowded area. Cool view of the sunset.

We stayed for 2 nights. Walking distance to Fira centre. Access is via the bus car park on the opposite side of the road. We were grateful for the use of a pool and sunbeds . Overall a comfortable pleasant stay. Fira can get very busy with day visitors. This apartment is away from the hustle and bustle but is near enough to enjoy what Fira has to offer.

Something I think would be helpful would be the provision of a bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival. Or alternatively the facility to buy water, on arrival, from reception.

Great location, just a 5/7 minute walk from the Caldera, 3 minutes to the main bus station. Easy access to the main town/restaurants etc, but set a few minutes back from the noise of the town. Ideal location if you are not looking to party all night, but very close if you are. Nice small pool with good loungers etc. Room was nicer than expected and immaculately clean. Would definitely stay there again if I am back in Santorini.

As it's a small hotel, reception is not 24 hours. Our flight was slightly late and when our prearranged (through hotel) taxi delivered us to the hotel, there was nobody in reception to let us in. The driver called the owner and he came by within 5 minutes. It wasn't a big deal and we were aware that reception wasn't 24 hours in advance.

Beautiful property just a few blocks away from downtown Fira. It was quiet, clean and very comfortable.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had an early flight and I could leave my luggage at reception. Room was perfectly cleaned every day with fresh linnen and towels. Although this hotel is not on the cliff with a view over the caldera, I found the location to be excellent - in close proximity to the bus station and Fira town with lovely views over the neighbourhood and vineyards. The atmosphere is one of tranquility and space. There is ample parking space and a beautiful swimming bath. I will definitely stay here again

The only recommendation is to place some coffee and body cream in the room

Perfect location within walking distance of the bus station and delicious restaurants in downtown Thira. Staff was friendly but spoke very little English. Booking a car from the ferry and to the airport was very reasonable and convenient! Room is beautiful with wonderful views from the balcony. Pool loungers are high quality and the pool was very refreshing!

Pool is close to very busy road that was extremely dusty when we visited.
