Another hidden gem unlocked, this time on Crete. Still looking like new, good location and with its "own" restaurant just across de the street. Cute employees, delivering perfect service, from checking in to serving breakfast (which, btw, was another big surprise regarding how good it was and the way it was offered) or giving direction/information about what to do in the area. Also, I can understand a little bit of Greek, especially the "bad words", so the banter that went between them didn't go unnoticed and it was funny, especially at breakfast time. The beach is less than 15min of walking away and the old city less than 5 minutes. The "strip" with all the bars/clubs can be reached in less than 10min, same with the supermarkets. If you don't feel like walking to the beach, you can park yourself at the hotel's pool and relax. The bathrooms are clean, the shower large enough, nothing is cramped. The rooms also have a small "kitchen" area, with everything one needs. Also, pretty good AC. The restaurant is nicely decorated, on two levels and it has plenty of tables. The menu is about the same, everywhere on the island. Ate 2-3 times there, solid cooking. Parking spaces right next to the hotel (private parking, for customers).

Just one thing - some of the customers are on the "younger side" and are visiting the clubs until the morning hours. When they'll return to the hotel, they are talking loud in the hallways, slamming doors and stomping in the room above or next to you. Also, how many times do you need to move a chair, when using it, dragging it loudly on the tiled floor?! So yeah, this is the only fly in the ointment, but after all, the hotel can't be held responsible for how (bad) its customers are behaving.

Friendly staff, good food and close to the city Center

The staff was very nice, welcoming, and fun. Given that, I totally understand why this hotel has such high ratings. We also liked the location of the hotel, because it is located close to the old town where you have all the really good traditional restaurants. And the party street is within walking distance - if you feel like it. We also enjoyed the pool. It is big enough given the small size of the hotel.

The interior of the rooms is rather disappointing. Let's call it old at the very least. We also didn't like that people smoke in the breakfast area. It is not nice to go for breakfast in the early morning and have people smoke all around you.

Wonderful stay. Very clean. Breakfast was tasty. Surroundings was peacful at night and the location is close to the beach and centar of Malia. The owner and the staff is very kind, helpful and it was enjoyment to talk to. Highly recommended!

I can’t say there was something I didn’t like.

We hoped to find (last minute) a clean, nice place with the basics. But we got so much more! Rooms are clean and spacious, the position is perfect for us because you are in the middle between the old town, and the commercial area. Breakfast is amazing, the sea view really made our week, and: the staff!! Vagelis and all the girls really make you feel at home and take care of you. You can tell that they truly love what they do! Can’t wait to go back. Home in Crete forever!

We have loved this hotel. This clean and cosy hotel is situated in the center. The room has everything you need for living. Cleaning and change bedlinen every day. The staff is very friendly, kind, neighborly, welcoming and cares about guests a lot. Breakfast and diner is delicious and freshly cooked. The hotel’s owners are very friendly, helpful people. They will always advise you what places to visit. Tank you so much for everything!

From the moment you walk in, you’re made to feel like family by all the staff members. Everyone goes above and beyond to make it a comfortable stay, and it’s an amazing and friendly atmosphere at all times. If/when I come to Greece, I will definitely be staying here again and wouldn’t even consider anywhere else because I enjoyed my stay so much.

Really friendly host who made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Really great location just next to the old town loads of restaurants near by, it was nice and quiet but only a few minutes walk to the main road and the night life. Good WiFi, comfy beds and nice modern room, good swimming pool. Short walk to the beach. I will definitely stay here again :)
