Beautiful hotel, elegant room, great location. Best of all was the kindness of the staff and management. We had a horrible travel day, and arrived hours later than expected (midnight!). They treated us with utmost kindness and concern. In the morning, since we had been unable to get any Euros when we arrived, the hotel actually called a taxi for us to catch an early ferry, and the hotel covered the cost of the taxi! It still moves me when I think of it, the most generous gesture, and it meant the world to us in terms of reducing our stress! Thank you, Hotel Alex!!!

Amazing property with a great view location and modern beautiful amenities. Stunning rooftop restaurant with great food including both breakfast and dinner! Great for travel to the port as it’s pretty close by with a taxi. Very nice neighbourhood with a lot of residential homes nearby felt safe. Comfortable bed, very clean room. Great spacious bathroom and shower. Balcony is very modern spacious and the view is absolutely stunning at all times of the day. The area is beautiful with restaurants near by as well. I wish I could give the rating more than 10 it deserves that and more! I booked last minute and the Spyros was so super kind helpful accommodating us. The 2 gentleman are friendly they are such warm people. I arrived less than one hour after booking and Spyros at the front desk gave me a great room was all set to go with anything I needed even provided us with a complimentary breakfast which was more than exceptional. They even accommodated my last minute request for an extended stay! Can’t say enough great things about this hotel and especially the staff. Thank you for everything! Can’t wait to be back! That it was not built years ago I would have stayed here over 10x already!

Absolutely fantastic, helpful and dedicated staff! Beautiful view!

We arrived for a two day rest, but we were so charmed by our stay we remained for 3 more nights. We highly recommend the sea view balcony room. It’s worth it to prepay for the breakfast which we were disappointed we didn’t do the first two nights. The restaurant serves fresh to order food and drinks. Charming Maria was our favorite server who treated us so sweetly. The front desk and management etc were also super. The neighborhood has several great restaurants, nightlife, marinas, and walking promenade. Good choice for pre or post cruise ship or ferry stay or just a getaway. We would definitely stay again!

what’s not to like?

We are deeply grateful to the excellent and very kind staff of the hotel. They received us in a friendly and welcoming manner and when we had a slight problem with the room (nothing to do with the note but our own preferences), they very kindly found the perfect solution for us at no extra charge. Nothing at all.

Excellent hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The rooftop bar/restaurant served absolutely great food and a great wine list. Great location for the port. Great service in particular from Spyros on reception, thank you.

The hotel is about 209 metres from a bar / club which plays loud music until about 6am which makes sleeping difficult in the front/sea facing rooms at least.

I loved the location and the staff being very accommodating! The views from the rooftop were great!

The only thing would be the noise coming from the street or the hallways sometimes due to the materials used for the interior. Nothing wrong with that, just be prepared for people playing loud music in their cars or people going early for breakfast and speaking loudly in the hallway.

Wonderful staff - so friendly, helpful, welcoming and most accommodating to specific requests. Beautiful restaurant on top floor with amazing views towards the ancient sights of Athens and the marinas of Piraeus. Very comfortable bed, excellent shower, most effective AC, free WiFi, nice balcony and free coffee and tea machine in reception area.

My only criticism is that the bedroom is on the small side. However, a room with a balcony is very adequate.

The Alex, Piraeus, Greece. The staff in The Alex, from the moment we arrived until we left, were exceptional and most welcoming, helpful and friendly. The bedroom was small but we had a front facing sea-view balcony which added to the living space, with a lovely view of the nearby marinas, and with a distant view of the Acropolis in Athens city. The bathroom was large and well equipped with a powerful walk-in shower. The rooftop restaurant and bar, was superb. The serving staff were excellent, the food was delicious, the decor was sleek and the view was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this boutique style hotel.

Great view from our corner room -- could see a huge expanse of Athens including Acropolis. Nice room, very nice bath, excellent breakfast, good balcony. A very good option when arriving or departing Piraeus and you don't want to be in central Athens.

Neighborhood feels a little questionable at first, but I believe it to be very safe. Very close to a waterfront area with tons of very nice restaurants.
