Perfect location 5min drive out of the crowded center on the marina, wonderful rooftop bar, fabulous breakfast, many thanks to Nikos from reception making our stay perfect, incredible politeness and professional and smiling staff. Excellent rooms, free coffee machine on reception, wonderful view of the marina... Everything 10/10

Perfect position over the harbour. Rooftop restaurant a definite plus for breakfast in the mornings.Pleasant staff, comfortable room,modern bathroom facilities. Hotel on a main bus route to the main port facility of Piraeus & ferries to all the Greek islands as well as a 20 minute walk to the subway station to central Athens. 10 minute walk to a selection of local eateries.

Being up high, the Alex is not an easy place to get to if walking. From the main station of Neo Faliro you need to negotiate a huge flight of steps as we found out. A lovely local lady offered to drive us up with our 2 suitcases. Recommend a taxi.

The staff were really friendly, we were given a room with a sea view which was incredible. Breakfast was well worth it, and the restaurant was lovely with indoor or outdoor seating. The housekeeping team were super efficient. We did use the restaurant for an evening meal and it was quality food and a lovely setting. I loved having free access to a coffee machine and water.

The bathroom would intermittently smell quite bad - whether a problem with the plumbing or something else. I would prefer not to have to use paper coffee cups, perhaps having a mug as well as a glass in the bedrooms. Would be less wasteful.

Friendly staff and exceptional services - if I had questions they always assisted and made effort to understand the request or assistance needed. I love the location and could explore the area more this time. The food and restaurant on the top floor is for me the selling point - yet again satisfied above my expectations. They did the extra effort to assist me to have a room for my late check out due to late flight out of Athens - thank you for providing it for me. Had a bit of cigarette smoke coming into my room from the room next door and informed the team about it - they immediately attended to it and was open to even move me to another room.

The room is a bit small to setup my laptops on the small table. One of my days I was based in the hotel and my line of work requires 2 laptops to be stationed on a table to work with. They do have dedicated areas but not privately enough.

Location was good for the Port. Very clean and well decorated. Staff were very helpful, particularly on the reception. Access to a roof top restaurant was useful and views of Athens were good. Safe and fridge in the room is useful. Good size shower with very nice stone walls and fittings. Towelling robes and slippers provided.

Tea and coffee in the rooms would be good with some milk. Could only get news channels on the TV. As a female travelling alone I went to eat in the restaurant at night which was very quiet and a male waiter kept telling me to sit on the couch in the corner and didn't seem happy when it was too low. A female assistant came and said I could sit anywhere but this was a bit uncomfortable

I can’t say enough words how happy we were; from the minute we stepped into the hotel we felt relaxed. Everyone was extremely helpful especially Demetri who greeted us and offered us something to drink and suggestions on a nearby beach bar. The room had central air (Athens was 110F the day we arrived) and the most spectacular view of the sail boats and yachts just outside our window. We ate breakfast and dinner there on their rooftop restaurant. It was an experience from the views of the Acropolis to the sailboats passing and their chefs were amazing!!! The bed was extremely comfortable too !!! Also they had private parking which in Athens is a gift ! We only stayed for 1 night but we look forward to returning some day soon for longer. Thank you Hotel Alex for making our experience so special and welcoming.

Nothing negative about property. The toothbrushes and toothpaste are a nice touch but I would not use toothbrush because one use and it is throw away- would recommend to save those for when a guest asks for it.

The hotel was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. Our sea view room had great views over the marina and towards the city. The bed was very comfortable and the en suite shower excellent, with lovely big towels. Also bath robes and slippers were provided. The staff team was excellent and went the extra mile; nothing was any trouble for them. The trolley bus stop was very convenient for getting around and, for football fans, the Olympiakos stadium is within walking distance.

The only negative was the road immediately outside the hotel was very busy and it was noisy until after midnight - mainly car exhausts and loud in car stereo systems.

The facility is very nice, lack a bit of space for setting up your computer in your room but overall exceeded my expectations, staff friendliness, willingness to help. the food also exceeded my expectations and compliments to the chef and the waiters - all the staff :). The willingness to help accommodate met for the late checkout by moving my stuff for me to another room - thank you so much - that shows your customer service commitment

My room's toilet roll holder was loose and the shower head needed some proper cleaning or even replacement, some of the little rubbers is missing causing some unnecessary spray all over the floor.

Everyone from the front desk to the rooftop restaurant were the nicest and most accommodating people. They were all extremely friendly and happy to assist with anything. They even reserved our island hopping tour for us, and got us to-go breakfast bags on the morning of our island tour. Our bed was really comfortable, and walk-in shower was spacious.

For the price you paid, I expected to be in a better location. The immediate surrounding area was a bit run down, and your view out towards the ocean wasn't exactly as advertised in these photos (just don't look down). On the upside, it wasn't in the busiest area, so we got to actually catch up on our sleep!

What can I say only everything! From the wonderful warm reception .. Nivos was so welcoming ,we arrived early as we had just disembarked from our cruise ,was this a problem no ,we were offered refreshments and told that they would try and get us into our room early if possible.. we decided to take a walk around the beautiful marina only a seven minute walk away. When we returned the wonderful Manager Dimitris came over to us and apologised for the wait ( which actually this was on us as check in is stated as 3pm ) he actually upgraded us to a beautiful suite and we were in our suite for 1.30 pm. We then decided to have lunch ,what can I say only amazing ,the setting is breathtaking, a beautiful rooftop restaurant with amazing views across the bay to Athens. The food was delicious, would really recommend the strawberry salad ! We also had dinner and breakfast over our stay ,and everything was excellent, produce so fresh ,can't fault anything, the staff in the restaurant were so professional, friendly and polite , thank you Popi and Alexandra. I give credit to Dimitris he so obviously cares about the guests staying in his hotel and this is reflected in all his wonderful staff . We hope to have the pleasure to visit The Alex again and would highly recommend a stay here!!
