A good hotel, but not quite up to the standards of a 5-star hotel. New and renovated room. Nice dining room and breakfast. Nice and kind staff. Loved the bathroom products, it's an excellent greek brand - Apivita.

A very small and claustrophobic pool and in the basement. There is not really a spa. There is no balcony, it's a french balcony that you can only stand. There is a problem of a bad smell from the sewage in the whole area outside, and it goes into the hotel and the rooms as well, we had to change room because of that.

They should upgrade the fitness and spa center to a larger space.

We liked the service level of the staff. We did like the room, the bathroom and shower were great. The hotel was very clean, looked good and gave us a luxury feel. Breakfast buffet was good. The location from the hotel was too far away from downtown.

The hotel would be more suitable for younger people if there would be a outdoor pool. The hotel would be more inviting if there was a garden where you could laydown in the sun. The hotel would be more inviting if there was a better shuttle service to downtown. The hotel would profit from a little shop in the lobby.

Hotel is nice. It is great looking from the outside. Hall is beautiful, breakfast is great with plenty options. Staff members are friendly and helpful, especially at the reception. Free parking is in front of the hotel, and underground garage is charged 10 euros per day. Oldtimers in front of main entrance are fun for the kids, as they can get inside and feel past time spirit.

Rooms are a little bit outdated, and interior renowation would be a good idea. The bathroom was unpleasently small. Also neighborhood is not the best, as train station is near, and some old buildings.

Walking into a room that was already set up for our little one made our arrival stress-free and immensely comforting. In summary, our stay at Grand Hotel Palace was a standout experience. We highly recommend this hotel for its grand ambiance, exceptional service, cleanliness, complimentary perks, and the remarkable attention to detail, especially for guests with children. It's a definite 10 out of 10 and a place we'd eagerly return to for another memorable stay.

Very clean facilities and the room was smelling nice and cleaned daily with nice clean towels and provided with quality natural shower gel lotion and shampoo. The breakfast was great. Different items every day added to the breakfast. The staff were nice and polite. We had an issue with the bed, and they were happy to move us to another room. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and look forward to coming back. We will definitely recommend the hotel to our family and friends. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. There was a Lidl supernarket in 2 min, bus station in 10min.

No ATM in hoteel :( , just at bus station. AC was.....we could not apply the temperature, just flow speed. Open window as air income.....tobacco smokers everywhere - under the balcony in the hotel's yard, at the next balcony, everywhere. We do not smoke and no dot like to breath the tobacco smoke from window. Another one feature is clear(transparent) glass of bethroom's walls. As for me its a very bad design idea, bathroom should be totally isolated.

1. Inside pool (is for 6 persons, maximum for 8-10) - too small 2. Breakfast place (very small place with bad position for space where the food is). 3. Far away from the centre (but a taxi is about 10 Euros) and the zone outside of the hotel is with very ugly buildings and a lot of garbage…

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel Palace in Thessaloniki, Greece, and it truly lives up to its reputation as a luxurious 5-star hotel. Located right on the waterfront, it offers stunning views of the Thermaic Gulf, making it one of the top choices for accommodation in the city. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted with an elegant and majestic atmosphere. The style and décor exuded luxury and sophistication, instantly making us feel pampered. Our room was incredibly spacious and well-appointed, featuring comfortable beds and top-notch amenities. We were lucky to have a large double suite with a generous balcony, which provided us with a perfect spot to relax during our stay. The staff at the hotel were absolutely fantastic. They were warm, polite, and attentive to our every need. The concierge, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that our requests were fulfilled, making us feel truly taken care of. We had a great time enjoying the on-site bar, gym, and pool facilities. The pool, however, did tend to get a bit busy with children at times. The breakfast buffet was a true highlight, offering a wide assortment of high-quality food and delicious Greek specialties. It was the perfect way to start our day and fuel up for our adventures.

While the hotel itself is exceptional, I must mention that its location is not ideal if you wish to explore outside of the premises. However, they provide a convenient shuttle service, and taking a short taxi ride to Thessaloniki's central area is always an option. In fact, we decided to try a highly-rated restaurant in the local neighborhood, which was excellent. Although walking there wasn't the most pleasant experience, we opted for a taxi on our way back to the hotel. On a positive note, there is an ALDI supermarket conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, which proved to be quite handy during our stay.

The staff in the bar and restaurant was outstanding - they were so attentive, professional and looked after every fine detail required to make our dining experiences a pleasure. The outside bar/dining area is beautiful - so relaxing, clean and nicely designed. Every table is immaculately clean & waiting staff are always at hand to bring whatever is needed. We were brought cushions for our chairs, we were asked if we wished the heater to be turned on. Bottled water and authentic Greek snacks accompanied our drinks orders. Flexible options were proactively offered for my children - nothing was too much trouble. The food itself was outstanding - from salmon, roast avocado to veal etc. & excellent pasta dishes. We felt very well looked after and the quality of the wine, drinks, food and presentation of same was probably among the best I have ever experienced. Our third trip this year and this is by far the most excellent service we have had in a number of years. The cleanliness of the hotel is outstanding - it could not be improved. The room was hugely comfortable with opulent décor. Nice to have bathrobes and a fully stocked mini bar. Overall, a sublime hotel with 'old school' service that has become far too rare. The staff have clearly been trained and cultured into a very high standard of service.

The swimming pool was perfect for us - especially children as it's warm and not too deep, and indoor pools are relatively rare in Thessaloniki. It's in need of some refurbishment, but in the context of the outstanding condition, décor and cleanliness of the hotel overall, this did not bother us.
